Are we mathematically safe from relegation ??? probably finish nearer that then the play offs.

Now Roberts seems fit at the moment .. Jason Law must be pushing for the top ov the crocks player of the year surely ..
Out played again by the Bucks .. sussed us out n did a proper job on us ..dire performance again little desire or effort deserved nothing n thats what they got.
AB post match interview was just the same as usual, at least not a mention of clean sheets (remember them 9 in 3 conceded) the sound bites are becoming less as toppa the league has become just a fleeting memory… to be replace by , we are still up there … until we are mid table that is.

Lots of comments remarking that a few players showed little desire or effort .. maybe AB has lost the dressing room with his obsession for this formation … pretty obvious for a while hes got favourites which more than often ends in tears. .

the term for this signing if it is Luke Williams is … PANIC BUYING.. AB and LT should both be out the door instead of allowing them to waste anymore money on duffers.

Having just watched AB pre Buxton interview vid im not filled with optimism .. sadly seems hes gonna stick to his favourite formation .. James Moddy questions are becoming more difficult to be different also
other sound bites
A tough game
Bux well organized physical side
Had a good week in training and prepared well
We watched them and know how we can hurt them
We must move the ball quicker
Still learning
Fans must be patient
We have the best squad in the league ?
and not leaving out my fav chestmut … how other teams raise their game when coming to AAGP to play us.of note
Difficulty in signing players :(
AB LT Scoff seem to source anyone worth a look.. here it is (sorry about the huge link title took it off FBIMO this one another hard watch .. without a freaky Brackley Kiddy or Farsley performance im sticking with my 1-1 or 0-1 Bux the first goal is massive in this one.
UTI
Agree with all that RB .. after the Southport Radcliffe and Spenny performances i am concerned as our formation n style has been sussed so Buxton will come and do a job on us same as last season.
1-1 0r even 0-1 to Bux (if Whall still out)
att mid 3000sHaving had a pub/restaurant in the past i concur with many points made on this thread .. catering can be a nightmare business so much so i always steered clear and took care of the bar side of the biz.
I aint no expert but IMO any food menu should be kept as small as possible this more so with the time restraints associated with events including football, most menu items can be pre prepared ie pies etc in a warmer ready to go same with the burger patties, hot dogs and chips so orders just need assembling.
Better to do only a few things spot on then have a huge menu choice leading to staff confusion customer back up, a sub standard product and increased waste.
Pie , SS roll , Pasty
Sides Chips with Peas or beans
GravyBurger
Hot DogDrinks
Soft drinks in cans
Tea Coffee BovrilNo need for any desserts .. the Cookie ppl cover that (if still there) or just sell stuff like Mars, Snickers etc or even an SUFC Branded choc bar
All sounds too easy but it isnt and probably the reason the club is struggling with it and no one has taken the catering gig on at AAGP since the SG had a go.

Still got two games in hand though. Buxton also coming up on Saturday have just started to hit some form.
and we know how Buxton will play ALA Radcliffe …. 3 times last season they out played us arguably with the Iron in a better place performance /style wise and better players than we currently have
Saturday wont be pretty .. stop start , time wasting unless we score early (but normally allow the opposition back in soon after).. probably another dodgy ref and light on entertaining flowing football.
It’s basically what Butler said last night Les
He looked and spoke like a broken man.
Agree .. more down then usual got the sense hes loosing his way.
7 midfielders in our squad and he plays two defenders in there (sometimes 3 when, bizarrely Evans sits in there).
I can’t believe we have no loans here. Maybe we can’t afford part of the wages, something isn’t right.
Butler seemed to be struggling in that interviewIt is a tad strange that whilst other clubs are finding and bringing in new players it appears for whatever reason we cant ….are we even trying to source any of the obvious positions we need to strengthen. Ive never known the club drag its feet re loan signings as they are now and IMO its imperative it happens and quick.
So so lucky still to be top its mind boggling after such a poor run of results and add to that all the top sides loosing which probably won happen again.I wish we would sign Dec Howe … just to stop Rene posting 55555555
Spot on IMO
Except the Trump bit surely ??? M I G A Make Iron Great Again

Just listened to the AB post match interview it all sounded very similar to previous so cant see how things are improving or we are learning. Most interestingly he made a comment that until the 70th minute then we got more into it going forward isnt that when we changed to 442 ? it really is that simple anf there is your proof Andy so bite the bullet and change or its all gonna go pear shaped.
Makes the decision to extend his contract even more ludicrous.

Waking up to another dire performance , out played AGAIN ..woeful
These new signings need to happen NOW as a couple more duff performances and we could be down to 10th and we all can see Buxton on Saturday are gonna come and do a Radcliffe same as they did last season.
If AB doesnt see the light and drop this formation we are toast .. attendances will plummet as fans dont want to watch dross football they need entertainment and excitement and recently its been LESS “fun” than a visit to the clap clinic.

no issues with Rowley (who) and supercrock Law but what has the tea lady done wrong WGs ..

A nice early start,a few pints then to soak it up Pie n peas with gravy (chuck in some proper chippy chips and bingo the perfect footy ensemble, after the final whistle straight out on the town n meet the missus after she been all dolled up about 9pm then boogey the nights away at Tiffanys or Garbos then a Frod rd Indian.
BTW has to be a Hollands meat n potato …twas always my number one choice.
Not seen a prediction thread for the game v Spenny but im going 1-1 on the basis no DWHall again but fancy Roberts or Charlton to score.
Wont bother watching , now clocks have changed its a 2-45 am KO and i need all the beauty sleep i can get nowadays so hoping to wake up and see im wrong 3 points are in the bag and Trump is the new POTUS.
Must admit never heard of this new young CEO fella ..suppose might recognize his voice if hes a MotoGP commentator.. anyway good luck hope he does good things , like anew striker ASAP.
it appears there were some highlights … Radcliffe TV

Iron414 wrote:-“There’s no denying the recruitment has been really poor. Butler has recruited for the 5-3-2 but the players he’s brought in have all failed to make the cut.”This is what I find hard to understand. Butler wants to play with WBs, we didn’t have any when he took over and we didn’t sign any. So we have 3 FBs trying to be WBs and 3CMs that barely get a look in. Makes the recruitment seem even more bizarre, was 3-5-2 not the recruiters plan?
Good point cass .. being as no WBS were signed can we assume AB thinks that Barrows , Denton and Kelly are wing backs because they appear not to be.
I dont get why there hasnt been any activity in the loan market for a couple of players ..especially a striker when it was confirmed by Michelle and Mr Sharp at the fans forum money was there if needed…maybe cant find anyone suitable ?? lets just hope who ever does come in its soon and they are better than whats already arrived.

Thanks to Butler whoever does end up coming in down the line “which is a forgone conclusion in my eyes” he/they are going to have to ship out say Shrimpton, Rowley and permacrock Law to get wide players in.
I still think we’re a striker short too. This squad needs balancing up. It’s a wonder Butler didn’t think to himself when he got those players in to play this formation, what happens if it doesn’t work !
Butler’s well and truly backed himself into a corner because he has no other alternative but to play this 5 at the back due to lack of options out wide.
Next appointment we need a manager from this level with experience who knows who and what it takes to get out this division. We need to stop this in house managerial rubbish. It worked with Adkins, but I’d rather we didn’t go down this route again.
Who’s it going to be next ?……Scunny bunny, toilet cleaner, pint puller from the Iron Bar ?
Agree with just about all of that WGs except i cant see AB getting the boot anytime soon regardless where we finish and more so even in the event of a poor run of form which arguably we are in now .. FWIW IMO whilst we are in and around the top and play offs no way hes going no where however poor the performances.

Without doubt the players brought in so far (who ever identified them as worth a punt AB LT ?) have been really poor.
Charlton suspended and injured twice
Rowley ..why ? never picked
Fish eager young lad given little chance has had one good game
Brogan benchwarmer
Nicolson first few games looked a decent signing but all gone pear shaped recently and poor on numerous levels
Shrimpton resigned why? never pickedNot being a doom n gloom merchant but i just cant see us getting promoted if AB doesnt change his chosen formation which sadly appears to be cast in stone .. expect to see the odd exceptional performance now n then Brackley, Kiddy and Farsley but other than those its been really negative boring and totally underwhelming and IMO so lucky to still be top.
Football is supposed to be entertaining trilling making fans eager to return for more alas whats being served up at the moment especially at home will drive fans away …no highlights vid of Radcliffe so far as probably werent any except the Fitz penalty save.
Worryingly ABs post match interview wasnt a very inspiring listen how can a manager be happy with that …”Radcliffe are a good well organized side” IT THE RELEGATION ZONE .. i stopped listening a couple of minutes in before the customary “still top ov the league” sound bite
Sticking with my pre season prediction of finishing 7-10th and even then no way AB will be sacked hes here to stay lets just hope he sees the light and changes this terrible system.

Holy Blues Batman!
Trinity come from 3-0 down to finish full-time 3-3 and extra time 4-4. Then win 5-4 on penalties. Some game!
Plus another brace for Howe.
gona google those highlights ASAP when wake up sounds like a cracker
Draw or not today was really poor .. WE WERE AT HOME against a side who did a job on us
words to describe how we are
* INNCONSISTANT
overly DEFENSIVE
* UNCONVINCING
POOR
Lucky to be topBut lets wait for the post match usual warbling ..like a claret n blue parrot !!
1 user thanked author for this post.
The sooner the better.
Perhaps a more experienced manager ?? Ar but that costs serious wonga so lets run with the cheaper option who gets his buddies in to try to muddle together a team , most of which have no love or afiltiation to the club having been signed by a former fraudulent owner..
WHAT COULD GO WRONG ???
“Butler”! You bloody Muppet where was Whitehall? your supposed to be the manager well bloody manage, like I said top of the page Whitehall and roberts could and should have been rested at halftime but no idiot head hasn’t a clue,
As for Carlton gets his chance fluffed it again totally anonymous, when will the Whitehall naysayers get it without him we’re nothing.
Having said that why not just move Carlton on the wing instead of taking him off he’s got pace so use it, no forwards on the pitch at the end what’s that all about. Radcliffe by far the better team sempt to be in our half more than we was in theirs played some nice football anyway more than what we were in theirs.
Just not good enough for an home performance.Agree .. AB does make some really strange decisions and today to a man were piss poor.. usual post match AB soundbites to follow .. top of the league 555555
Rene ..express yer self…..that was SH8TE
AR as i predicted , no way a walk over 4 or 5 nil .. lucky not the loose in a game which was a total let down .. why so defensive at home ?? oh i forgot if you done concede you don lose bollocks , so this must be ok then ?

Interesting to see how they deal with Roberts in the form he’s currently showing, reckon they might get a player sent off on Saturday, he’ll be too good for them. Difficult predicting scores in these games so I’ll sit on the fence score wise and just say a comfortable home win.
Is it me or as every game comes im concerned about Roberts being targeted by teams who put 2 guys on him and crunch him early much the same as he was sandwiched right on half time recently i think at Southport (intentionally or not).
Hopefully he has fully recovered form all his injury set backs of recent years, still im sure all others teams in this league would love him to be out for a lengthy spell something that would severely damage our promotion hopes.According to the Radcliffe guy on the Iron hour podcast they wont be intimidated , no way will they come and defend it will be all out attack with each player trying to win their individual battles on the pitch .. so we might be in for a cracker of a game ..
0-0 its is then 5555555
