Hopefully an Iron win and the added bonus of giving Dickman another reason to whinge and moan post match like he did at their place .. proper wuss packet wouldnt wanna be on a desert island with him.
They are pretty potent up front so reckon they will score against our sometimes sloppy defense so a tight 2-1 to Scunny would be my prediction.
Love to see Beck and or Charlton Ubu get a goal.

Upon reflection i suppose at this level anything over 3000 is pretty dam good.
Just managed to catch the extended highlights and it looked a decent game especially second half.
Ironarmy and fan reaction vids also oozzzing praise and positivity.
Re Roberts
SHOULD HE STAY OR SHOULD HE GO NOW !!..hang on theres a song in there some where.Hope he stays but if not CARRY ON REGARDLESS …. hang on ….

Lowest home league crowd of the season I believe last night, well it’s to be expected with three home games in a row I guess.
Also more or less zero away fans also (17 i think) which is understandable fair trek mid week working day.
Michelle made it quite clear that she’s done her bit in her July interview and about has far as she can go and wants more time away from it all, hence the CEO to take up a lot of her work.
Michelle will always have her place in history saving the club.
And if someone else comes in they can never take away from she herself did.How you can put Ian in there sanfran I don’t know, in one of the dark times he was found wanting and only ended up on Michelle’s coat tales.
Bang on AWG … as you say in previous interviews Michelle stated she had done her bit and needed help , quite possibly this isnt hostile at all and she actually wants her life back .. offering new owners whoever they are and more investment thus a chance to full fill the clubs and fans ambitions.
Cant see Roj wanting to step aside he also has worked tirelessly.
Michelle Harness will forever go down in history as a legend and the person who saved SUFC.imo no need for the word hostile … a tad premature perhaps.

Both goals were defendable particularly the second but I don’t think the subs were to blame, agree with DM’s synopsis.
Their second was offside … very poor officials by the sound ov it.
“Where were you when Banjo scored” Only just trickled in but in it went, got a great reception from all the players, well pleased for him that’s the monkey off his back, now for Uzbekistan to score.
Im guessing Mr Beck is a tad relieved this morning and hopefully confidence now boosted he can net a few more .. Comorn Charlton your turn next !!
Would like to see Rowley n Scales knock one in and we over due a Boyce goal(i wont mention Clunan scoring as more chance of the tide coming in at Cleggy)
Yeah probably too soon we will be settling for a play off spot.
Just not good enough are we.YEP just way too inconsistent to get auto promotion .. its only a matter of time until that though has gone and fans are settling for a play off spot.
Jerry getting the personal insults in now, I’ve not laughed so much since Exeter relegated Scum
It’s like a car crash over there tonight, you don’t want to look as it’s horrific but you can’t help yourself
Indeed grab yer popcorn …
Joined the Iron Trust but for numerous reasons i most certainly wouldnt touch this new Unity group with a Cod heads barge pole as im not sure i like or agree with its creators and just how transparent it will be regarding where funds will be used.
IMO its easy .. the new group isnt really needed and appears to be some wannabe individuals route to egomania.
Hacked … yeah right took a while to discover that gem.
Hi all,
Just wanted to say a quick hello and introduce myself. Been an Iron supporter for 30+ years, from Australia. I wasn’t sure where else to say hi, so please forgive me if this isn’t the right spot.
In the olden days I used to read the classified section of the local paper to go through all the league results.. at best I had to do my own version of the BBC’s ‘Oxford Unites onnnnnneeeee, Scunthorpe United TWO.’
Then pay tv came along, and every couple of years I was able to get up at 2am and watch the Iron play Hull (that was epic) live on telly. Good times.
I have a small shrine to Championship Manager Steve Housham, believe Peter Beagrie had fantastic hair, and that Gary Hooper would have made a better president than Donald Trump.
When Andy Keogh moved to Perth Glory I almost became a Glory supporter, but that made no sense at all. They suck.
Anyway, hi.Welcome … WE ARE ALL regardless where we are located on planet Earth.

Hopefully they’ll get things in order rather than a one man show just doing whatever he pleases, where’s the sense in buying club shop vouchers and kiddies Xmas presents when Kelme and other product manufacturers will cream off most of the money he may say £18,000 has gone to the club but in reality it hasn’t.
I personally don’t like the guy just on his blogs alone he kinda lectures people to fall in line with his views, especially the let’s get behind Hilton one.
Good point .. whilst i will agree Stu Maw has played his heart out for the club re fund raising IMO it all got too full on in yer face and and became an obsession for him including forcing his opinion on others most notably drumming up support for Hilton.
As posted before i much prefer the various SUFC related social media platforms without his various posts for donations , auctions and preaching vids.Is it worth letting him go for say, £25,000? I don’t think it is unless there’s pressure to reduce the wage bill.
By the right offer i was thinking 100k … 25k Na , alas the BovD and Roberts himself have the final say not fans.
thanks for the in depth analysis Rene … not that it effected my prediction of 2-1 to Brackley who on fire at the moment especially away adding that to our mediocre home home form and bingo.
The relaunch not going well on SUFG, is it?
Indeed … just fans asking some important questions is ruffling a few feathers
If we don’t sell he goes for free, big deal not, he didn’t cost us a fee initially and we would save on his high wages. If we are realistic about promotion we keep him but if a club comes in offering silly money then we sell anyway, either way it’s not an issue to get worked up about, players have come and gone for years but the important thing is the club remains, whatever division it operates in. Yes I want promotion but if it’s not this season so be it.
Pretty much how i see it … the club should cash in if the right offer comes in and carry on regardless promotion or not (not sure going up to NL would be all its cracked up to be as things are at the mo) , obviously Roberts leaving now for cash or the end of the season FOC will stir the wrath of some fans but THATS FOOTBALL.
I agree it’s probably a storm in a tea cup but I wouldn’t want to suggest talk of the new group is fizzled out. End of the day, people may have stronger feelings about it and wish to air their views. Some valid questions have been raised and that’s healthy IMO.
The only real valid question is around the money – what’s it for, how is it going to be managed, and who is custodian of it… You start a public group where you’re asking for money and you need clear and careful governance.
Agree when donating to such a group you must have all the info as to exactly where the money raised will be spent .. must be totally transparent throughout the whole setup.
IMO theres only ever a certain capped amount of fans that will donate so i reckon no need for another group especially one starting up with a bad smell attached before a ball is kicked.
Torps made an interesting point on RH commentary. Apparently Fadera was playing “park football” not long ago and it showed as “he plays without fear” not having had it coached out of him yet.
How long will that take? Done by Tuesday?Yes i caught that moment of Torps magic and thought the same… a few days of AB n Scoff instilling their ” magic ” will have the lad hiding in the AA bogs before KO rather than flying down the wing scaring the opposition.

Whilst acknowledging the good work (volunteering possibly) Jerry does in and around the club he does come across as a bit full ov himself and a plum when responding to anyone on social media criticizing AB his tactics and players.
I see Jerrys side kick is back after nudeigate offering a unity update whilst chest puffing his fund raising skills lapping up the adulation of his disciples .. i have much preferred the FFB page free of the the Maw flea market and auctions etc1 user thanked author for this post.
Confidence is completely shot. When he breaks his duck, he’s going on a scoring streak. I tells ye!
yes agree and hopefully same goes for Charlton Ubu
Starting Tuesday – must win.
I dont like these big MUST WIN games because in most cases we dont win

Can’t see 9 points myself. 5 perhaps?
Tend to agree Deer … 5 or 6 more likely than the 9 max .. Lets not forget Curzon Home and Kiddy away also very soon

TIA
Live football fix today TPL
7pm KO works well cos drive home just in time for Chorley v Scunny at 10pm KO on RH just hope the painful Aussie guy isnt commentating.Nong Bua Pitchaya Fc v Lamgpung Warriors
Bottom of the table 6 pointer MUST WIN for NBP
IVE HAD A RE THINK .. 0-2 IRON
Agree any team in the top 10 could go on a winning streak and nick the title .. games in hand and GD will be key… FWIW IMO im going for a tight 2-1 at Chorley ..just havent decided who too yet.
The SUFC FFBP is as dry as old bones at the mo .. i realize little football being played doesnt help and Maws car boot sales and cards have ceased but still its as boring as watching a replay of paint drying.
UNITY .. ANY NEWS ??
1 user thanked author for this post.
The Trust did a lot in helping to secure the Ground and the future of our Club but do not go on Social Media telling the world what they have done.
Talking of supporters Clubs was it called Unity or something like that seems to have disappeared just like it’s Chairman !Indeed kudos to the trust for all they did and continue to do for the club.
As for the new Unity group as commented it appears to have dropped off the radar as has the plethora of Maw mafia posts and vids
Going well? Good to see you’re still easily pleased Deerey. For a lot of us it’s going to take more than a 45 minutes of good football per 20 odd games to be convinced after the utter dross we’ve seen for majority of this season.
The seven unbeaten run is a good PR spin, but not exactly the achievement it’s being hailed as:-
A 0-0 draw at home to Alfreton, one of the worst games seen by many at GP.
A 0-0 draw at home to Hereford, subpar and painfully dull.
Another 0-0 bore draw against part time Darlington.
A piss poor performance and skin of the teeth last minute 2-1 win to the league whipping boys Marine, by an arguably undeserved penalty. The reality is; there was only one acceptable performance in those 7 games. But after some of the horror shows we’ve seen this season (Rylands, Alfreton, Guisley to name but a few) the bar has been set so low that anything better than ‘utterly shite’ is now deemed an ‘improvement’ even if we’re still very poor.
****************
Now thats called hitting the nail on the head … this 7 game unbeaten run sound bite being rolled is out of prospective as for the most part the football served up has been dire dull and at best mediocre EXCEPT KLT , its head shaking just how we are still in touch around the top possibly a tad false with others games in hand etc.
