Concerns over family’s vice like grip on ownership and distancing fans from club whilst allegedly taking money out of club
Thank the lord we are nowhere near that.
I’ll give him 10 league games before he gets the boot
You’re right Mick, there is only one thing to make it worst next season.
What I would say is that we should get some cracking odds for reaching playoffs/promotion

3rd worst professional team in England
1 win in 18
1 point from 18
most losses in basement division
1 game in 4 with one or no shots on target
Consistently worst performances ever seen
Complete assets stripped
Fans as distant from the club now more than ever
half a dozen season tickets sold
Vice like death grip on club by one family with no connections to club or community
No decent strikers left in club
Everybody except extreme lickspittles worried for futurebut hey well done Swann for surviving a pandemic which saw zero league clubs fail – but then why would any club fail because it just affected Swann
The result today felt like getting the all clear from the docs, nothing more.

Protesting about the grotesque nature of how the club is being run with assets stripped and an incompetent chairman is not spreading hate and abuse, has nothing to do with the unacceptable abuse Cox received and to link the two in any way is reprehensible beyond compare.
Ask any journalist, former director, majority fans if they think the club’s future is at risk they will all say yes – more so now than at any other point in the last 100 years. That is what any perceived protest will be about, don’t try and Swannwash this by somehow linking the actions of some idiots with the genuine concern most have on here for the future of the club.
Pathetic, the most pathetic thing I have read on here.

I’ll pop down to see the showhome and choose my kitchen
Just listened to Cox on radio, really hasn’t got a clue. So so out of his depth. Needs to go back to being a fan and not part of the Swann shit show
They’ve had as many start dates as us….
From the Times today;
The Southend story is an all too familiar one. Reliant entirely on the patronage of one man yet trapped in a painful and predictable spiral of decline that is a result of the same man’s chronic mismanagement……
hmmmm

criticism is relative to football fans. Alexander at the time was dropping a now premiership player and playing our best CB at left back, we had gone off the boil on the cusp of league one playoffs. Offer fans a view of the future – i.e. struggling to survive as a league club with no player looking like a professional footballer and they’ll probably take Alexander, just like Arsenal with Wenger but none of this is at the door of the fans – we are still paying to watch this farce and the chairman treats us with contempt. So retrospect is wonderful – ask how many would pay for ifollow if they knew how they would play and the score and you won’t get many paying

It’s not gauranteed 999 years on site, its just a lease for 999 years. Means nothing if SUFC go bust – which is a hell of a lot closer now the missus is tightening his purse strings and the club has no assets after giving it all to pay off the spending the owner did. The lease is between two businesses who are owned by the same people – you could write what you like to yourself and you can close it down quite easily I would’ve thought. This just makes it harder for potential buyers to come in – they would pay punitive rents or find funding to move location.
But like the chairman said nobody has been knocking on his door enquiring about the club…. he also said he is always in discussions with people but it has to be right for the club so we’ll have to pick one of those as the truth

Players who I believe genuinely care about the club
KVV Karacan Gillead O’MalleyKaracan may or may not be in this bracket but he is a solid professional with pride so comes across such
The rest are made up of barely good enough National league mid table players, players who are looking for next meal ticket, 1 or 2 injured players forced to play now and risking long term damage. That’s it

way off alcazar – no shots on target.

Problem with Cox is that tactically he has shown himself to be clueless.
Problem with Swann is that chairmanship wise he has proven himself to be clueless
Its not a good position.

Rory just isn’t good enough for league football – we keep waiting for him to come good but he’s had enough opps now. There is far too much to work on with his game. a shot stopper yes but most other things he struggles with. I think he’s saved more penalties than kept clean sheets
I feel sorry for the young players – playing alongside these wage thieves who don’t care is everything that’s wrong with football. They cannot learn off these people

…. this is awful beyond compare, Eisa by his own ‘couldn’t give a shit attitude’ has excelled himself
This isn’t professional football

We get brief glimpses of that ability and so we are looking at a 1 in 5 ratio for a reasonable game with those players. If we don’t get the ‘system’ right they will still look non league – let’s be honest how many times has our system worked this season?
Colchester won tonight so a win v Southend puts Southend down barring mathematical miracle and most likely Grimsby with them
looking at that squad is really depressing Les, a lot of those remaining are simply not good enough and should not be league players.
If
we get 5 good ones in I’m still worried. Our transfer committee appears to sign duds or persistently injured players. No coincidence with the volume of injuriesWe’ll finish 22nd and we will have lost most games in whole division is my prediction

Bedeau didn’t again but then he was dropped so didn’t have to.
I think we’ll finish 22nd which is just enough this season. I see nothing other than relegation next season.

Corner concede
free kick concede
corner concedeI counted 4 players from Forest Green closer to the ball as it crossed the line than Scunny players so over half the FGR players that were in the box.
It really is embarrassing and although only a fool would say we’re not safe this is a side who don’t look like getting a point so we rely on the bottom clubs not picking up; Southend have stopped conceding Grimsby have picked up some good results. Colchester tonight will be interesting.
There is no other way of saying it, we have a shit squad, manager, chairman and it won’t change next season – unimaginably it will get worse.

Results will speak for themselves whichever strategy we go with. All I know is that Swann signed most of the squad based on his opinion.
It’s been the worst season of football for a long period of time.
The reason (one of) we are still a league club is Karacan a managers pick. Not saying Cox is a great manager far from it and I’m not saying the club should not follow a particular strategy but for Christ sake don’t let any Swann member decide who they want – they just have not got a clue. Footballing people need to be the main drivers of this and Cox is a footballing person.
I reckon we’ll know who the naughty boy is by 12.30pm Saturday

I agree with NI – those no mark signings will cripple us until we can get rid.
The Mooney signing is the Spinal Tap of lower league football
Mamagers should have their targets and this may come from experience or ex pros scouting network and then the portfolio of players discussed. Then discuss with Chairman and who we can and can’t get. Issue I have is that the club think we can have a chief scout with no football knowledge linked to a family committee – you might think you are getting a good player but managers know more about attitude application willingness to fight. We signed mainly has/never been’s with a view to develop but a lot of them had no fight in them, carrying injuries, weren’t mentally built for league two football and went missing – and a few of them thought they were too good for us
