“You said “I like good active attacking football” well up to now I have seen this not seen this! so please stop worrying about the other side and talking them up and just concentrate on your own side.”
Spot on – i doubt any of our opponents give a thought to how we play. All they have to say is dont worry about us we wont cross the half way line
unless their is a ‘new’ striker this week then next game Cox will sadly revert back to Loft. And will bemused why doing the same thing each week gets the same results. Football is so simple decent keeper and then 3 pairs down the middle and yet its beyond Cox
i wonder which coaching course Cox went on when the idea was suggested when you go a goal down you take your striker off? Perhaps he left the room when they said replace the one isolated striker with 2 strikers
fail to see where another point will cone from. Did Cox actually believe his own rhetoric when he said we would attack!!?
we can cut and paste our comments from Tue – set up not to win only two possible outcomes.
we forget we are playing an excellent side and need to adjust to nullify them. Cox will so pleased not to concede to a side below us
As Newey said we showed no interest in winning that game. Cox talked himself into thinking we were playing decent team which clearly we weren’t. Play for a draw you get nothing. Howard at fault but Cox set them up not to win
not a happy bunch at becoming our B team
Like many others – team proved me wrong. Perhaps having Clark alongside the kids at C/half makes the difference. O’Malley is too good to be worried about who’s along side him.
with both centre halfs now missing 10/1 Walsall to score 4+ goals looks easy money
Clearly don’t practice set plays, either defending them or putting a decent ball in. And hoof ball can only take a couple of minutes practice the way we play it. Question is – what do we do in training!? We don’t seem to be able to impose ourselves on a game. We have no obvious pattern of play.
Why did Cox just go down to their level. We kicked off, hoofed it out and never stopped tryin the same failing approach. Poor day for Coxguess 5 at the back with Clarke 3rd center-half. 0-0 bore draw i fear
Do wish Cox would stop giving players excuses. Fail to see how professional athlete can complain is tired playing twice a week and little training it seems. Yet after each game he tells them they are tired. Why not say they are looking forward to doing what they paid to do. basic management skill. Don’t remember Adkins having tired players!performance as good as last week -just finishing quality missing.
Pity Essex radio mentioned no away wins this season and not won here since that 4-3 in 1995. Sure that broke a 20+ games without an away win for themthat’s my point – he didn’t bring him on and go 3 at the back
pleasing game, decent performance, a game we would have lost last month. we all would have taken 7/9 at 3pm last Sat
Good to see Rowe improving. Rest played as would expect.
Cox – best substitutions he’s made this season. Tried to impact positively not just invited pressure with more defenders. And changed the shape to get back in the game.jeez what an awful way to play the game – no need to play that deep. first half was spot on
and now 9-0-1 – if we don’t win sad to say Cox to blame
very odd way to defend hoof it out. Surely we can clear it with a pass to a colleague!? And get up the pitch
the 2 pens and offside show what we lack. Experience to work the ref, make the most of situations. You never see our players all raise there arms in disgust, scream for decision’s.
What we all know – no experience in our ranks.overall we were poor but after the subs slowly we started to become attack minded. We even had a fullback over lap and get a cross in. Tricky bit is Cox now has to stick with the attack focus he talked about.
and yet again team imposes on us. Cox believes in 442 but just wont play it. Easy sub to make Spence off McAtee on. Let them worry about us.
