The subs weren’t the ones who switched off to allow their second. I thought Carlton and Fadera helped us to defend as it meant their defenders had to be on their toes and not push out and camp in in our box. We had numerous decent breaks when a better ball would have set up a decent chance, i think one time Scales had 3 in the middle and didn’t find any, we hit the bar (which if it was Beck his detractor’s would have called it a sitter), Beck won more free kicks than Whitehall (who the ref wasn’t going to give any to). I’d rather watch us keep the pressure on them and be entertained than sit back and invite pressure. Sometimes you have to risk losing to win. We had more opportunities to score a 4th than they did to equalise. I’ll settle for that each week.

same old same old – tough game according to AB.
2-2 after been 2 up, AB starts to sit back, defensive subs inviting pressure, equalise in added time.
Post match interview individual error not a tactical one, work in progress, battling draw against team above us, look ahead to another tough game Sat will try to make up ground, though i didn’t realise how far behind we are!! Perhaps risking losing trying to win is an option1 user thanked author for this post.
overslept and ended up watching MOTD – interesting comment my a pundit about Liverpool, who are dominating the premier league, (same way we hoped we would NLN!!?).
“Liverpool risk losing in trying to win”
Something perhaps AB should consider? We may avoid all these dull home draws. But then every game we face is difficult one against well organised teams. No doubt a battling draw with in form Brackley he’ll be happy with as we slip further down the table.Just accept we have average players bar Roberts and a manger who is currently clueless and who is learning (little) on the job
ends up 7 – shows our inability to match the endeavour or management of ‘lesser’ teams. We will limp into the play-off with this mindset.

now we are been overrun! hanging on for a point! Trot out the standard interview AB
if the team get all the way there perhaps they could bring Liam McAlinden back with them. Looked decent last year, for the short term better than Fishburn
we are told every week no easy games!!!
More based on our lack of playing to our potential most weeks. Set up not to lose rather than win.
Then when we do – Kings Lynn and great stuff.if it is on, we need the win to keep the pressure on all those not playing and building up a fixture backlog
were we playing free flowing attacking football in the 2ns half? No. We were defending from the front to maintain an impressive 3-0 win? He did a job for the team, as did all the subs. A team that won 3-0.
Not sure i noticed Williams in the attacking 1/3 that often, but he helped keep it to nil.
Enjoy a good performance and a win. It wasn’t Alfreton or HerefordAs said he did a job and did it pretty well. We weren’t in free flowing attack mode 2nd half!! He won the ball, kept it/laid it off, flicked it it on.
I view it from Kings Lynn point of view, Whitehall taken off and its Beck an experienced forward not Fishburn or Carlton out of position taking his place. Kept their defence honest and defending. Yes it would be nice if another forward scores but winning is fine.We sign a player who is a success at another club playing a certain way. We then play him in a different way and are surprised at the outcome!! I’d be more concerned if Beck was heading crosses off target yet to see him get a cross put in to him. We hit long balls to him and no one is playing up with him. Same with Carlton, a scoring winger and we ask to be a striker! Only now is he playing wide in a 3.
We are confused understanding AB’s weekly change in style, formation and players. These simple players (no insult we are at NLN) want to be a round peg in a round hole, have no chance. Recent example AB plays Whitehall (good No.9) as a No.10. From the start of the season ABs instance that full backs can be wing backs. Judge players when they asked to do the job they are here to do. Butler is no genius coach and neither are the players good enough to adapt. Keep it simple and have a style that suits and get good at it by playing it week after week.4 users thanked author for this post.
have i missed it or are we still waiting for AB words or pre-match wisdom.
no shots in the half!!! Guess lack of match practice will be the excuse!!
half hour gone no shots on or off target against a team in the bottom 4. Though as ever AB will claim all good teams!!!
said it before players not good enough (Roberts apart) manager not good enough to manage non-league players. Our crowd is the best but we seem to inspire oppostion not scare them and our own manager/players dont make the most of our support.
if we are serious about going up is a must win regardless of other results. Falling behind 2 points a game –

Isn’t bad. Isn’t poor – there’s an endorsement.
Its not Butler who cant pass the ball or score with a decent chance or makes defensive mistakes.
Butler just puts them in the wrong positions and formation.reality is the players (Roberts apart & gone in Jan) and the management team are all average. Caused by years of poor leadership, management and poor signings. Just because we have the biggest crowd doesn’t entitle us to win. We need a way of using the crowd to our advantage not inspiring to the opponents. Sadly the dull crap Butler has decided on sends us to sleep or keeps us away. Hoping to get a 1-0 worked for Tamworth it doesn’t work for us. We need to impose a threat that teams cant stop and gets our crowd driving us forward. Teams are not scared of us, rightly so on Butlers current approach. Until he realises we wont defend ourselves out of the league we will be here next season.

Unless he’s gone backwards along way in ability at least he can pass a ball. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him replace Roberts, (going for a fee in Jan no doubt) now he’s proved his fitness
How many more bumps before anything changes – same players doing the same things getting the same results and yet they are picked week after week. As Butler signed the players who are who not getting in or stepping up when they do – then what was he doing wasting the little money we have? We are a big club in this league – sadly the players don’t match the billing. And at present neither does the manager.

i’d have back in time to replace Roberts who will be snapped up in Jan now he has proved his fitness
We need to build on the second half from last Tuesday and first half on Sat – WB have to be on the edge of the opposition box not sat on the edge of their own. Beeston and Roberts in midfield are a serious threat and cause problems for our opponents. Thays how we make team worry about us

Sorry but AB’s selection was set up not loose again, and ……
Boyce for Nicholson only logical change. When are we going to start imposing ourselves.
Curzon had no difficulty disposing of Chester yet we went to Chester looking for a draw. Not looking like Champs with this mind set5 users thanked author for this post.
or the wing backs also go forward as well sit back and, are seen crossing a ball or even are in the opponents box receiving the cross. If Burrows/Denton wont/cant do this then replace them or the formation

Team today showing no imagination from Butler, seems he has fixed views on his players as well as formation. Well they better deliver on his blind loyalty! i don’t see it, all to comfy for me.

not sure how its a tougher league – small clubs coming up and teams coming down on a downward spiral. Weaker squad lets see them play first. I would suggest better mangers and Asst. Better feel at the club. i remain optimistic :-)

hard to believe the impact it had – fantastic – inspiring. Mrs cant believe i want shirt again!!
the problem last season was not the players – it was the manager. Hence two teams who on paper we had a better players than were promoted. The players at this level are much of a muchness. It comes down who has a plan than works, players that are fit and carrying out the plan, know how to work the poor refs we have each week. It helps that Butler seems to know this. The plus is that we still players who are a decent for this level. I remain optimistic
