I agree. I nearly packed up watching when they scored their second. I definitely won’t be watching any more games for a while.

Don’t worry! We won’t go down. The Chairman said so. Wasn’t it his son who said that we wouldn’t be relegated from L1 or was it some other moron?

He was a good man. Sharpe, Brownsword, Hubbard, Hardwick, Haigh et al. were made of stronger stuff than – you can complete the sentence with your own choice of words. They showed commitment.

I just wondered whether Swann was somehow behind the other Company!!!
The town is becoming very ghost-like.

The players lack skill and knowledge. They are quite simply uninterested.

    I wouldn’t argue with you. It’s dire.

What exactly did Swann say about the man who’s been supporting the Iron since 1947?

Thanks, BS, for your insightful opinions. I must admit that I have lost all faith in the set-up at SUFC at all levels from the top down. Sad, but true!

I greatly value B’B’s. comments and ratings. It’s a matter of opinions.

I watched for the first time today. It was not a very incisive performance. I agree with the marks awarded by B. S. Disappointing result and there may be more to come… .

A great chap. I’ll never forget the goal at Cardiff and the hat-tricks in consecutive matches. I must email him.

Only 68 years for me, but I concur with you. Times are bad, indeed. I wonder how the Chairman knows that we’re not going to be relegated.

I think that the Chairman and I are on different planets.

If I agreed with him on the matters discussed, we’d both be wrong!

The strong smell of embrocation wafted around the O.S.G. before every match. Happy days in the 50s and 60s! I remember them well. Charlie did a fine job with his “sponge bag”. Requiescat in pace.

    I have grave concerns.
The squad is very young and inexperienced.
The defence has weaknesses of considerable note.
Many of our experienced players are absent through injury.
    The signs are not good.

OMG, Lesgeo! I,too, have distant memories of Racine. I taught Phèdre and Andromaque in the early 70s: “Pour qui sont ces serpents qui sifflent sur vos têtes” and “Qui te l’a dit?”. No DVDs in thoase days!

I am very concerned about our current situation. Who would want to come in as Manager after so many signings have been made, presumably without his knowledge. Will Swann end up managing the Club?
