Gillead, Spence and Beeston – it’s very difficult for them to get on the ball and influence a game if the ball is constantly launched over their heads from both teams. They end up running up and down the pitch like busy fools. No wonder they are knackered.

The team will play better if the best players are on the ball. Can’t remember Gillead touching the ball until we were 1 down. We played like a very poor Sunday League team.

    “Does so much right”.

What has he done right in the last 3 matches? He is nowhere near League standard.

The biggest crime is that is by far the worst Grimsby team I have seen. If we had tried to play a bit of football and passed the ball to the nearest man we would have won. No attempt to play thought the midfield or the wingers. Every ball aimed at the worst player on the pitch Loft and then he brings on Jarvis, the perfect clone of Loft.

How many times do you have to hoof the ball up to our useless forwards before you realise it’s a complete waste of time!

Not one chance from open play all match. One piece of play when they passed the ball to each other for more than 3 passes, just after the Cods scored, in the whole match. Never tried it again.

    Hopeless!!

“It’s the same old, same old. Everyone who voted Brexit is a racist”

It is the same old, same old. As others are pointing out, nobody is saying that. It’s the same old ,same old argument I and others have had with you for the last 2 years.

The only person using the same old, same old argument is YOU.

So tell us the benefits or toddle on!

Come on Bucks. There are plenty of “fools” wanting to hear the benefits.

    I’ll give you a starter.

A handful of the richest people in the UK and EU will become even richer as THEY own the fishing rights around our waters. Get your mate Johnson to take their fishing rights off them and I may agree to one benefit, but that’s not going to happen is it.

Come on BS, keep doing the ratings thread. I thought you missed this match because you left at half-time, given your comments above.

“15+ crosses tonight which fell to a barrow player”.

Lee Hodges on the Southend match was not happy that Loft was nowhere to be seen when crosses were going in the box in the 1st half.

Definitely need to find a striker in January.

Alcy – you have studied both cases in detail and you were present in the court room for the full duration of the trials of course. And you are 100% certain for both cases that the ONLY deciding factor that the judges used to determine sentence was the colour of the defendant’s skin.

Written to highlight the stupidity and irrelevance of your post.

“I haven’t heard a racial chant at a football ground for at least 30 years”

Unlike your hero God, you can’t be everywhere at the same time!

Your statement makes an assumption that players like Sterling, Lukaku, Ferdinand, Barnes, all black players who have ever played for England in the last 30 years and longer are all telling lies.

We seem to have a lot of white blokes on here who think they know what a lot of black people should be thinking, when they have not suffered from this abuse themselves.

“Prediction League forcasts pal, I remember at the start of the season saying you only joined it to try and beat me, I see that you have rightfully given up that idea ha ha!”

You are right there, have to admit defeat to you on that one. Mind you forgetting to do it for all last week’s matches didn’t help.

There’s always next season if we still have a team to support.

Great stat on Clarke today on Humberside. Last 12 starts, won 9, drawn 2, 1 loss. Didn’t say how many seasons?

Great to have him in the team and hope he gets a good run in what’s starting to look a solid back 5 and central 2 midfielders.

It has taken Cox 10 games to sort 11 out from 30 odd, but let’s hope we can continue to climb the table!

Definitely been a change in the attitude of the players over the last few games which is great to see.

Previous 8 matches conceding 2 goals per game. 2 clean sheets and we have won 2 away matches. OK by me if we were hanging on last night, it worked.

Test now will be how we approach the home matches. Let’s hope that the team starts out on the front foot and is more positive now that the defence is looking more secure.

More positive surely to play your best team from the start and try to carry on from Saturday’s match. Subs can be used later depending on the state of the game.

Took him about 3 years to take over from Fatty Lawrence as fist choice. That was usually the way with young players at top teams. Was surprised when Iron midfielder Keegan went straight into the Liverpool team as a striker.

Conceding 14 goals in his first 5 matches. There is an assumption that all 14 goals were his fault with no knowledge of how many saves he made to keep the total below 14. Clearly didn’t put him, the manager or Liverpool off too much. The other factor is the same team played in nearly every match, whatever the results were.

Very sad news. Always felt very proud in those days of our players Clemence and Keegan who went on to achieve so much in the game.
