Seems rushed and a token gesture. Must do better.

In just a few days we could be saying the festival is next month and the Friday and Saturday line-ups are still to be announced. Dirty stirling are a given for the Friday I’d imagine but they could only shift 500ish tickets for the Baths Hall.
Raffles and happy clapping is all that pot are good for.
Should not so Sharp and Georgey boy take a step back following events like this which maybe reflect they can’t quite read the room and let Michelle and Roj steer the ship again?
How many members have the Unity Group got now. Are they into double figures yet?
Does anyone know anybody who has a ticket?
They’ve taken their eyes off the ball this season (probably due to the rumoured infighting) and haven’t followed through a promising start – there’s no real fan engagement or informing of what’s going on – we’re back in give us your money but we won’t provide anything back territory. Also things like having a head of hospitality too before replacing with another who soon left, now we’re on our third external catering partner of the season. We’re also now on our third stadium manager of the season. Big song and dance about a link up with John Leggott, messing up the relationship with the Foundation and then nothing else heard about it. I’ve seen sweet FA promoting the stadium facilities which they want to make use of 24/7. It suggests to me a rocky boat without real direction.
Filming yourself watching games – a look at me narcissist so not surprised.

Strikes me as someone who wants to feel important and be loved by those in power – first Hilton, now Sharp. Couldn’t see the red flags for his own ego.

Is traditional hospitality a dated concept? ‘Upmarket’ sports bar type setting up with light bites might be the way forward.
Didn’t watch the banter Hour with him but presume it was buzzwords and empty platitudes. Mission statement below (Chat GPT?).
“I am very proud to be joining Scunthorpe United at such an exciting time in the long history of the club. What has been achieved here over the past 12 months by Michelle, Ian, George and Roj – not to mention the fans, sponsors, and the local business community – is truly inspiring and now the challenge is to embrace the Iron spirit that runs through this town and build a new era of success.
“Our owners want to give the fans the football club they deserve: a responsible, sustainable community asset that creates social value through success both on and off the pitch. Obviously this role is a new challenge for me but I think I can bring a fresh perspective on how we can achieve this vision together, as well as a strong network of contacts within football and beyond.
“Fundamentally I believe in the power of football as a force for good, and I am so excited by the opportunity to help make that happen here.”The audience is going to be 97% baseball caps isn’t it

Michelle really made a mistake with him.
You’re presuming that he was her appointment.
Chosen for us by the codheads
An eloquent quote from Goatboy’s socials on Sunday night:
“If my doings today mean the next person doesn’t get treated the way I did then I am more than happy with that.
The list of people you’ve **** over is endless without adding the fans to the list. **** off you muppets.”He and Not so Sharp must be popular internally.

I genuinely think it’s five people with no idea about music and what people are going to want to see being ‘taken in’ by promoters. The only way to explain this cringey sucking up to Zanetti.

Sure part-time Pete’s performance will get even better when superbike season kicks in.

Think the whole debacle that’s unfolded this week highlights a few things

Why dont you realise these people are not going away
I bet he’s ‘on his bike’ before the summer’s out.
Conspicuous by their absence this week. Thought Stuart Maw would have had a video out on Sunday telling us all what to think. I hope their raffle (all legal and above board of course) on the bus to the big Lincs cup final went well.

Fair point – I struggle to see where the money is coming from to ‘have a really good go’ (as per Michelle’s quote) if we do up.
Considering all this type of stuff is normally arranged a year in advance, and anyone of any credibility will be booked up for the summer, I think the organisers will be looking firmly in the bargain basement for acts.
Makes Rodwell look like Bradley Walsh
£50k a month were his calculations
Glynn Sparks on £600k a year according to Sherbert on that page
Have D-Ream pulled out?
Did Sharp and Aitkenhead go to games before all this? Know Roj has always been there.
March 26, 2025 at 3:55 pm in reply to: Calum Roberts and boardroom news from Michelle’s BBC chat #300727Wishful thinking regarding him staying I think. Every right for him to cash in on a brilliant, injury-free season. L2 move at least.
Loads of respect for Michelle but that interview was a mess. Surely our media-trained CEO should be rearing his head for things like this.
