Hopefully Shrimpt will take his game to a whole new level under Butler’s guidance.
Didn’t he use to play for Scotland u21.
Clunan and Shrimpt could be a formidable partnership.

Seems like the new manager doesn’t rate O’Malley which is a bit unfortunate.
Chap is exactly what the doctor ordered. An excellent chap to have around the club, mentoring Foster in the process.

Gk was unbelievably shaky.
Big striker played well, so did Leake.
Bunker was a deer in the headlights.
Tactical familiarity issues and poor gk’ing were the difference makers. On paper, he’s pretty much perfect. Climbing up the lower leagues with PB playing proactive, fluid football.
Excellent news.
Now, next step is to build a solid squad around Shrimpt, Cribb. Did young Young already sign for Wycombe?Bags of potential.
In a ideal world. Takeover successfully completed. Young commanding the defence, Shrimpt and Cribb bossing the midfield with Cam Wilson doing his thing on the flanks. If only.Too bad it didn’t work out for DEW. Wasn’t ready to carry the load in such a turmoil-y environment.
Smurfht and Swann are remarkably similar.
Hard pass.Bring Watson back. Good, solid goalkeeper – exactly what the squad is lacking at this particular moment.
Great move for Apt if true
What is the situation with Shrimpt.
Shrimpt could BOSS the midfield if only given a proper chance..New owner in the mould of Notts County owners. Data-driven recruitment model with a proactive, Possessional Football approach on the pitch.
Bring McKeown in
Craig Elliott is a excellent manager with a proactive, Possessional Football approach.
I doubt he would agree a deal with Scunthorpe United under the current ownership situation though.1 user thanked author for this post.
It seems like Rochdale is the only place he is able to handle the pressures of Football Management.

Where is the Shrimpt
It’s all about the system.
Mc is a good, solid player. In a proper system, he obviously thrives.
Even Billy Sharp would struggle to score goals in Neil Cox system.Butt was a good player back in the day, not anymore. Rather give a chance to Shrimpt, Cribb, Moore-Billam.
McKeown should be one of them
PUGH is a energetic player with good work rate. His decision making with the ball is questionable at best, but that might have something to do with the lack of cohesive tactics at Scunthorpe.
Could do a job in a Football League team.

Will Grigg could do a job in Conference
Bring back the SINC.
Sinc on the left, cutting inside, allowing O’Malley to overlap and work his magic.2 users thanked author for this post.
Defence looks rock solid with Taftsy and Boycey flanked by Rowe and O’Malley. Backup for Rowe a priority.
Expecting big things from Shrimpt and Wilson in the middle of the park.
New strikers are badly needed. As the old adage goes, a team is only ever as good as its big striker.

Great. If he is going to be utilized as a Right Back, that is.
