The difference Barton is that I completely lost interest in football altogether. I don’t even bother watching MOTD on a Saturday night, something unthinkable years ago. Whereas others, who would still love to go are being stubborn and deliberately boycotting the club just because of Swann. Cutting your nose off to spite your face so to speak.

Point taken. But if enough people abandon the club I wouldn’t put it past Swann to do something really extreme. Such as notifying the National League that he wasn’t in a position to guarantee the club could fulfil it’s fixtures due to the financial position.

Mcdougall was the prat that got away with deliberately knocking the ball in with his arm at Dean Court in our first away game after getting promoted in the early 70’s. Robbed us of a 1-0 win. I can still see Don Welbourne and Geoff Barnard going after the referee.
In response to the op. Can you still get a f for a fiver in Scunny? Asking for a friend, obviously.

Bristol Rovers away may not be the last game as a football league club. Just a hint of anyone at the club catching Covid and the chairman may use it as an excuse to shut up shop early. Anything Dover Athletic can do……
Out there.
The Council has a few potholes to fill and can’t even afford to do that. It’s not a Town Council either. I don’t think the residents of Killingholme eg would be too chuffed if their council tax was used to build a stadium they would never use.
It would appear we now have a landlord and tenant agreement where the landlord and tenant are effectively one and the same. Does the 999 year lease have anything written in to it protecting the club against any development/change of use by the present or any future landlord? Who knows. Maybe supporters who kept their shares should group together and ask to see the lease agreement. If it’s as simple as the chairman claims he should be only too happy to oblige.1 user thanked author for this post.
How much money, and how many years to upgrade Birch Park to Football League status? Asking for a friend………..obviously.

I wouldn’t believe anything on the OWS anyway. Not when the ‘In Memoriam’ refers to the final game, against Stevenage being in Skybet League One.
