I think 14 days is a bit unfair what changes can really happen in 2 weeks? Yes he could sack the manager but would that please everyone? He said work would now start on development before christmas and gave his reason’s as to why it hasn’t happened earlier. He has promised/guaranteed that he will return the club and ground back to SUFC. Let’s give him a chance now to prove his worth because honestly what else is there for us out there.
I think you should cut him some slack. He sounded honest and went into a lot of depth last night. I am not easily convinced but I am willing to see what happens from now on. It takes guts to admit you were wrong but he did that and most of the people in that meeting left feeling a lot better about the off field scene.

FGR wont bring more than 150 fans they just don’t have the support like other clubs do. Attendance on Saturday if no change in manager will be I think under 2,000

There is only one person in the whole of Scunthorpe who believes we wont go down and we are playing well enough. There is only one person in Scunthorpe who can do something about our current plight. The problem is it is the same person. If Mr Swann has an ounce of love for this club he will do something about it both now and in January.

None of this is the managers fault? who bought these players who picked them for the game who chose the formation? come on he is to blame for the performances. As much as I blame Swann for all the off the pitch problems Cox has to take the blame for what is happening on the pitch.

So your saying sit back and take it. Fans are deserting in the hundreds the football on show is rubbish. You mention those clubs but what about the other side of the coin Bury, Darlington ,York, Scarborough, Hereford. I have been watching Scunthorpe United since 1969 and never has it been as bad as this both on and off the pitch so I think this entitles me to have a say.

Protest against who just Swann or the management as well. Something has to give we cannot go on week after week losing like this. If there is going to be a protest do it right we dont want 20-30 people turning up. A protest will have an effect as the only other option is sit back and watch us die.

August 24, 2021 at 9:53 pm in reply to: Out of the second of three cups in the first round tonight. #212529Not splitting hairs just stating facts. We are still in this cup and yes Rotherham will be a different game but look at us 8 payers out injured and then we lose another 2 first team player’s to covid hopefully we will be able to field our strongest 11 and then we can judge them. It is easy to slate us but we must be given a chance the 2 away games they played okay and could have even got more points then they did.
August 24, 2021 at 9:34 pm in reply to: Out of the second of three cups in the first round tonight. #212525just to clarify one thing. We are not out of second cup tonight as we still have 2 games to play. We will be out at some point but not tonight. And yes we were beaten at home by Man city u/21’s but we also had a very young team out as well.

If Mr Swann was to put the club up for sale what would he be selling? just a name really new owners wouldn’t have there own ground or training facilities. Peter would keep all that, then he would charge the club rent at whatever rate he wants. We have nothing but a team now any new owners would have to look at building us a new home and that would put off almost everybody.

Just got back and that was a point well earned. We didn’t buckle when we went one down and there is a fight in this team that wasn’t there last season. 9 player’s out injured before kick off with no striker starting so that has to be a good point.
Will be setting off soon. Hoping that cox will surprise us with a striker tonight but I doubt it. I think he should put Hippolite upfront Jessup and see how we do but we will probably play all the defenders hoping for a 0-0

Last season he played 12 games for QPR and 5 times for southend and scored 0 goals. In total he has played 46 games and got 8 goals. not very good stats and he is only 19.
MY starting 11 would be
Billson
Pugh Onariasie Taft O’MalleyGreen Beeston Perry Bunn
Loft O’Neil
I believe the figure to be higher then most on here think. I have spoken to 2 different people in the office and although no figures were given to me they both said season tickets had gone really well with people looking forward to seeing live football again. As I said no numbers given but the women in the office seemed genuine in what they said.
I f he was sacked by the club then he wont have been paid any monies from them. Perhaps he will be chasing the club for the remainder of his contract.
Yes just checked my emails and the trust been in touch thanks.
Paid online but what happens now as they took me to paypal and I paid but I have not given my name or anything
I will not protest against the chairman who I think is handling the slagging off very well. I have been a supporter for 50 years and I think the quality is appalling but the chairman has kept us going through covid and reading his latest statement gives me belief that he will keep this club going. I know some of you will call me a happy clapper but those that know me know I am not. Protest against Mr Swann and verbally abuse him isn’t going to get you anywhere except maybe one day he say’s sod this I am off and then if that happens where does it leave our beloved football club. I am as disappointed as anybody that we didn’t get a new ground but as things are at the moment I will take what we have and move forward. And please don’t start abusing me for having an opinion as I have not said anything about yours. UTI

I think Swann junior has a lot of new signings lined up for us. Debenhams, Billy (taco) bells, Marks & spencer’s (twins both wingers) McDonald, to name a few with more to sign later in the year. Things will be looking up.
I agree scrap it this year. Whoever was to win it should feel embarrassed as it has been one hell of a shocking season for all.
Same outfield players again. No youngsters given a chance so expect the same sort of performances that we have been getting. Why not give some of the kids a chance.

Last night for effort was the worst in our history. Mr Cox if you wont drop the so called player’s who are not playing for the shirt then you must go. Sorry but I can’t see myself going down to the ground to watch these performances next season. Please Mr Swann for the sake of our club sort it out.

Don’t we have another striker somewhere called Mooney. Never heard him mentioned all season.
Win it and we are safe so I hope they go all out for the win. Have a little break and then play the last 10 games with no worries.
Clarke’s push looked very similar to what Van Veen did at Northampton away when he pushed Charlie Goode and that one was overturned.
I cannot see what Eisa brings to the team he never challenges for a header and his contribution to the last few games has been shocking. Where are all our strikers Olomola, Jarvis, Duran and Mooney they cant all be out injured can they. I agree with you about Cox changing the team every time one or two okay but not half the team it’s stupid.

My heart say’s win but my head is saying a step to far for us so I can’t see us getting anything from this game. I hope I am wrong.
Peter the buck stops with you. We have 2 weeks left of the transfer window show us you are serious about keeping us in the league. S.O.S save our Scunthorpe. you can walk away we cannot. Get rid of some of the rubbish players and put your hand in your pocket and buy some strikers. Now is the time to show us supporters you mean business.
