I don’t have a problem with swearing but endless abuse and tirades are just tedious. The local councillor was clearly audible on the stream last night, boorishly abusing the referee over & over again.
Though not as much as our manager who got involved with someone in the crowd, abused the referee enough to get a red card, and then wasn’t big enough to answer questions from the media.
It’s all so laboured in possession, why take 1 touch when you can take 4? NI is absolutely right about Whitehall being isolated, even though he won virtually everything in the air. I don’t understand why Sembie-Ferris was left out, missed his pace. That Corbett on the left-hand side looked lost, why is he here when we have so many options for that position?

I thought we were ok last night but a lot of familiar failings were on show too. Dean getting a touchline ban might be the best thing for us in the coming games.
Wonder if Roberts could also be a deputy for Butterfield in the middle when he needs a breather?
But it’ll be either/or down the RHS won’t it? McAlinden, Beestin and the 2 loanees for the LHS.
Could Roberts not play down the left?
Sembie-Ferris seems to be the most important player in the side since returning from Peterborough, making a real difference to our attacking play. I hope with Roberts coming back too, we know have a real cutting edge out wide.
With the season ending fast approaching one hopes plans are well advanced for 2024/2025. The announcements must be inspiring.
Best for the last 6 games.Hard to make plans when we don’t know where we’ll be next season; the budget will obviously be reduced but presumably the extent depends on which league we’ll be in?
I don’t know if you have joined the Trust but it has been mentioned in previous Trust newsletters about the process for requesting shares and the fact that it may take time to receive a response but requests are being collected and will be looked at.
I think it’s just a case of emailing the club, or possibly the Trust. As has been said above, they can’t advertise it (for reasons I don’t understand).

1st AprilEaster weekend, innit?
Surprised we have agreed a new date that means 4 games in 9 days.
Not sure there’s much choice – clubs are generally required to rearrange fixtures for the first available free date, which this is. Spennymoor are a game further behind, so presumably there have another match to rearrange at some point too, reducing the available dates.
I think the current board had a difficult tightrope to walk, they need to put up prices to be viable but if they put them up too much they risk a backlash, especially given the recent poor results on the pitch.
I’d expected them to be more expensive than they are, but they still seem a bit ‘Hilton plucked a wow price out of the air’.
How do you mean?
With the level of debt being reduced substantially it’s strange we still cannot pay for season tickets on debit or credit cards, guess we are still considered a bad financial risk?
Possibly but I suspect it may be more about the securities/guarantees required to operate that sort of scheme. I’d hope it would return in time.
Surely you can remember his start after following Wilcox 1st 11 games 22 points we were on fire, so much so, ya know that big club Sheff utd cancelled on us cos they were frightened of us.
I vaguely remember a decent start and then he signed (or had signed for him?) a load of new players in the January and the team was never the same again.
Good luck to him, clearly the manager doesn’t rate him, I think a permanent move would do him good.
Hard to think of a more underwhelming Iron manager. Not bad, not good, just entirely underwhelming. I can barely remember a single game under his reign.
It’s great that he’s found such a good marriage at Coventry, occasionally you find clubs that just “fit” players/managers and they are so much more successful there than anywhere else. Good luck to him.
I think you’re right CT.
If we don’t achieve promotion will we go part-time next season?
Can’t see it myself, the crowds we get should support a decent full-time squad.

Part-time players don’t have as much time to spend at the tattooist or hairdresser.
It was better in the old days when they spent all afternoon in the pub, right?
Yes, I was going more on the day out to York if we went on the train but if it’s that far out from the centre it probably is a car job.
Cox isn’t shown as part of their coaching staff anymore on their website, presumably departed with Ardley ?
I think there are shuttle buses out to their new ground which seems to be nearer to Scarborough than York!
They appointed a manager from the lower leagues, I think Worthing? How they react to Tuesday night’s gubbing will probably decide where they end up next season.
It’s a difficult one because if a club is struggling and the ground’s going to be half empty, you would want to capitalise on a big away support, wouldn’t you? But it’s not a great look, especially when your team needs to be battling to survive.
York are definitely in the sticky stuff but I wouldn’t say they are doomed, Wealdstone have games in hand but there are 3 teams only 4 points above them.
Leave out Whitehall/Elliott and play Carver/Bennett – no thanks.
Leave out Butterfield/Beestin/Scales and play Pugh/Shrimpton – no thanks.
Leave out a fit Roberts and play DSF – no thanks.
We have better players, Hereford, Southport,Spennymoor & Sports don’t.Fair points, particularly about the strikers, although I have my reservations about Elliott.
I left him off deliberately, was focussing only on the players who’ve been loaned out in the same division, a more like-for-like comparison.
Can we loan anyone to Tamworth?
I was expecting somebody with experience, yet it appears he’s another inexperienced kid.
Why on earth were you expecting that?
2 users thanked author for this post.
Way I see it is that we’re light of options up front with one in Whitehall who looks to have downed tools and we have two out on loan with one scoring ten and the other in Bennett scoring of late.
Are we heck, we’ve got plenty of options, we just aren’t getting the most out of them.
Are we really that fickle as a fanbase?
Oh I do hope so, they can’t possibly be as “pissed off” as the supporters who paid money to watch the most inept performance from supposedly professional footballers on Tuesday night.
Entitled nonsense.
Most part-time clubs won’t train every day, probably 2-3 times a week depending on matches.
It’s plausible, which is why it would never pass pub muster.
That depends on your state of refreshment, of course.
Sounds like the sort of story you’d hear in the pub and I’m all in favour of those!
