After watching that ineffectual tosh last week against another bottom 4 side, I’m sorry BS, but I can’t see anything other than a defeat. I really hope I’m wrong, but for me, last week showed how poor we still are, despite the improvement under Hill. For the first time, I’ve really felt the cold chill of a potential relegation. We desperately need some significant signings if we are to have any chance of avoiding the dreaded trapdoor to non-league. Surely Swanny must see this??
Have to agree with Cass on that one, Loft didn’t look interested today. Clearly his head’s been turned and he wants away, can’t see any point in keeping this version of Loft.

In Skipton for Christmas so not at Oldham. Still 1 all, we need a good January AND a f***ing miracle….
As the missus & I recall, at the Shareholders meeting Swanny said work would begin on the flats ‘in a couple of weeks’, not the stand. We live away from Scunny, so dunno if anything’s actually happened in the car park area that’s going to be developed??
Though I’m hoping for a win, our defence is looking shaky at best so not seeing 3 points away from home I’m afraid. 1-all draw for me as well.
That was pretty good for us this season RB!!

Yeah, Hippo had a great game tonight, a real turn-around in his game, credit to the lad (and Hilly & coaches). Looking a 2 horse race for most improved player this season, him & Watson.

We are aren’t we MK??
Deffo Ferrite, Green is surely ‘playing’ (and I use the term loosely) probably 3 or 4 levels above where he should be, and needs shipping out in January – along with Taft, who’s become a liability this season. He made so many mistakes tonight.

Much fitter clearly, players were still running at the end. It’s better, but as Mick says above, need to turn some of these draws into 3 points, specially against the teams round us. Think LK’s right, we’d have lost that with Coxy at the helm.
Progress though, but a decent January needed. Or a bloody miracle!

Tim Steere asked Hilly why Loft wasn’t in the squad on RH after the match,’injured’ he said, no further elaboration, hmmm….

WG, Ferrite & PP are all correct, it is all down to money. What the Telegraph were prepared to pay was regarded by Swanny as way too low, so far apart a deal couldn’t be done. In an effort to resolve this Swanny’s asked the Iron Trust to build bridges with the Telegraph and try broker a deal.
At the Shareholders Meeting Hilly was asked about playing some of out younger players. He said he is aware of the quality of some of them, the reason for not playing them currently is he’s not wanting to expose them in the current first team as it is, I guess protecting them if you like. He does see youth development as very important – so I think we’ll see Wilson and maybe others when the fitness levels are where they should be, and the first team are playing like Hilly wants. And hopefully have turned a corner…
