Another one:
Chimera – a no longer made TVR 2 seater sports car prone to rusting in the chassis area I understand.
PHEW!! Well done the lads for seeing that one out for a valuable 3 points. Great effort, particularly with Pugh’s harsh dismissal early in the second half. Let’s hope it’s given them a bit of confidence going forward.

We’ve had quite a few buffering issues on a PC Ferrite, but much better on my Mrs’ tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab A) – no probs at all.
Swim the Channel, walk to Llourdes and numerous Hail Mary’s won’t save us now.
Could he make it permanent please?? Just asking….

So depressed, Jill & I couldn’t face going direct home, had a couple in the local first, anyhow I enjoyed the Marston’s Pedigree much better than the game.
Agree with you Mick, fair effort first half but think as lack of fitness from the new signings started to tell, we fell away badly, and midfield largely dissolved.
In summary, if we can’t beat Oldham at home, we’re f****d. The final hope is the new lads can get some fitness in quick and start to win some games. Sadly it’s not gonna happen. I just wanna cry.3 users thanked author for this post.
Really great news Keith’s committed beyond the end of this season, and wants to build a team. Best manager since NA by far.
Let’s hope we start picking up some wins, and fingers crossed enough to save our bacon.
If he pulls it off, he’ll deserve the Freedom of Scunny! UTI

And really great news Keith has committed beyond the end of this season, no matter where we end up. He’s been a great appointment.
Good business in the window too, 8 in and some (not all) of the makeweights moved on, the signings look to be Keith’s too.
And I’ve got to say, credit to Swanny too for making it happen financially.
Onward and hopefully up the league now, as others have said, let’s get behind Keith & the lads now for the rest of the season, UTI.

You beat me to it DSGM!
Makes the most improved player of the season vote easy now, only one candidate left, Rory.

Are there any fans out there who remember Midland League football?I don’t Les, but I was minus 5 when we got promoted 1950! My Dad told me he used to go though.
Reckon if Pitman had any interest in coming here, surely something would’ve been sorted when Loft went there??
Sounds like players not wanting to leave may be causing a problem also.
Who’d want them Porthleven??

Green isn’t a recognised footballer
Couldn’t agree with you more Ironawe. Must be playing 4 or 5 levels above where he should be. And today
Plus side: the new signings, look like Hilly’s and what we need, should help, still need more. And much more transfer activity than I anticipated, so that’s a big relief and credit to the club.
Down side: rock bottom. Oldham 2 games in hand. Now adrift by 7 points and that goal difference. 6 losses on the bounce. Think it’s too late though, it’s now a huge ask, but I really hope not.6 users thanked author for this post.
Deffo worth a shout MK, seen softer ones given.
AND ANOTHER!!!!

BLOODY HELL, WE’VE SCORED!!!!!!

That’s it then, we look nailed on for relegation. The lads tried tonight, they’re simply just not good enough and were completely outclassed tonight. In fact at times we were a shambles. A lot came down our right, Matheison caught out of position several times, think we need to put Millen or Rowe back there.
No matter what the recruitment is like, I can’t see Keith pulling the great escape off.
Dead right Mick, it’s not about when we win a game any more, more like when will we score a goal? Sadly, I think we’re gonners, I hope I am wrong.

Swann says next week is going to be a “big one” for Scunthorpe United.Do we believe him ?
No.

…he also said we wouldn’t be relegated because he would do what was necessary to keep us up. Well Mr Swann you need to do it and do it NOW. Though I do appreciate we’ve had covid etc etc…

First half totally outplayed by Newport and how we weren’t 3 or 4 down at half time I don’t know, though thanks to mom Watson. Second half better, can’t fault the effort, but these players, by & large, aren’t L2 standard. All game, zero goal threat. Midfield zero creativity and didn’t get about Newport in fact woefully lacking. Defence for me overworked but tried. Seems 2 coming in this week…… Staying up? Not a snowball’s chance in hell. Even with 4 or 5 in (and I mean seasoned players) it’s a big ask, 6 points adrift now.

And Big Bad Dunwald-Turan makes the bench!!!
I would agree that Kenyon and Beestin should be in the team, but is Hill leaving them out because he thinks they haven’t responded to his training methods?
Could well be Heath, Hill’s made no secret that his philosophy is ‘if they’re not fit, they don’t play’.
Given the last 2 games, I agree, these two should start v Exeter. After the last 2 defeats, including one to one of our relegation-threatened peer group and a 4-0 pasting at Tranmere, then yes Alcy, definitely. Particularly so given the apparent lack of transfer action.
I was 2 out Alcy.
Not looking good for our survival chances now is it? We just haven’t got enough out there to keep us up. I’ve said elsewhere we don’t just need a good January, we need a miracle. Results went against us today, and with Exeter away next week (assuming a nil return there) we’re seeing a gap developing.
Swanny has said several times ‘we won’t be relegated’ and ‘I’ll do what it takes’. Well Peter, now is the time – PULL YOUR FINGER OUT AND DO IT….OR DO ONE!!3 users thanked author for this post.
We’ve just got one Cass, try club site, next match, live match centre and click on the video camera symbol. Good luck.
…..and at our wages.
Got to admit Iron-Awe, I’m coming round to that way of thinking myself. On the car park proposed development, has anything actually started yet? I forgot to have a look before the Carlisle game.
If/when we get relegated, surely he’ll not see it worthwhile redeveloping the Sands Siro??
