How can you say iron king won’t be missed uti99 ? There aren’t many more longstanding ‘fans’ than him. You really are clueless.

Yes Swann’s plural….Ernest and Will. Iron King is correct they are all pretty much useless, everyone knows that, Tom Newey admits it, even Hill admits it….not their fault, more the person or persons who recruited them. And that brings us back to Ernest and Will again…

I admire the optimism that there will be a 22/23 season. Wasn’t sure if relegation would spell the start (or should that be next stage) of the master plan to fold the club and…..you know the rest

81/82 might have been a really bad season but we scored 43 goals. Will be lucky to score 30 this season the way we are going. Can’t imagine the entertainment value was as poor that season as it is this !

Absolute NO from me. Totally ruined our football club and over 70 years of history. I will never moan about wet Tuesday trips to Colchester away and the like again, because in 4 months time that’s it, we won’t be going back unless they come down. Over 35 years of supporting The Iron as a football league club gone. Thanks for f@@k all Ernest.

At least we have our memories Iron king.

Good riddance, not somebody I would want to be relying on to dig us out our current mess based on this years input (Oldham aside). Was good last year but different player this year, culminating in another non existent showing on Saturday before being deservedly hauled off.

Having scored 8 goals at home in 11 league games, we are looking at 16 goals scored at home in an entire season. Not exactly entertaining edge of your seat, thrill a minute stuff, And Swann wonders where all the fans have gone…Mmm

I really like what I hear from Hill on humberside after the match. If anyone can save us he can.

If it really was Neil’s idea to appoint the current chief scout then hopefully he will also get the heave ho as part of the clear out. Be interesting to know the reasons why not if this isn’t the case !

Totally agree Cliff. It’s a start, and I give him credit for that where up to now he has had none in my bank. One swallow doesn’t make a summer and be good to hear next what his plans are to sort the on field mess.

I second that iron master….squeaky man can be our saviour ! Judging from all the advise he gives the Lino, he knows his onions when it comes to football. Cox out – squeaky man in !

I think I know who you mean iron king. Most games watching squeaky man is more interesting than the match. When he gets really annoyed with the Lino he sounds like a squalling seagull during mating season. One of the (very few these days) match day joys.

Personally don’t find it strange or ridiculous at all. Just a case of signing somebody who then it transpires is nowhere near good enough. Show me a club that has never done that ?

99% of people on here have agreed in various other threads that he isn’t anywhere near good enough, so why play him just because we can ? Chuck Jarvis into that bracket aswell. Both as useless as each other.

Not good enough, never will be, keep them as far away from the first team as possible !

To do anything other would be strange and ridiculous in my opinion.

One of our regular posters on here walking into a lamppost prior to Blackpool away whilst too busy eyeing up the local talent to be watching where he was going.

Message for Swann Senior and Junior: Get down the harbour, find the boat and push it out…we need him more than anyone else next season.

It’s a bloody joke. Nothing against McMahon but it’s players we need not more coaches !

Heaven help us if this turns out to be true. Minimal improvement on Watson, and not the answer.

Got mine. But if it’s Turan and Jarvis up front it won’t be getting used.

Absolute disgrace what has happened, and it will not end well. We will be homeless within 3 years in my opinion. Seen enough clubs who don’t own their ground end up in dire straits, and we will shortly be in that camp ! Even more dire straights than we already are !

An absolute top bloke. Iron through and through. Be sadly missed by many in the grove wharf, especially the F row crew.
