I wouldn’t go anywhere near a business involving White,Dave,Hilton etc

You wouldn’t need to unless he needs someone to put cones out.

What happened to the previous accountant? I thought the club were using Dave’s Ilkeston Town accountant a while back? Seems like a high turnover of staff going on.

You’re right, Dave’s mate came to deal with the clubs finances.
He’s gone, he wasn’t here very long.
Extremely concerning as wages are due in a week, also could it be sheer coincidence that the club were advertising his position the day before the CCJ was registered?

Talking shit again I see, just like your crap about a capacity cap at GP??? Don’t know why that would bother you though seen as you don’t even go to games?

The club doing so well must be killing you and your ilk.

You seem to have an issue with me and certain others posting what we think. Your problem, not mine.

Irony at it’s finest. As I said, I will base my opinions on fact, not rumours.

I rang the club ticket line 5 times, left 2 messages, and even reached out to them on Twitter

Every single one of them completely avoidable with a click of a mouse.

You sound like a conspiracy theorist. You were rightly critical at the time of Swann, but so were many others, whilst others chose to ignore it. Regardless, there’s a huge irony in this point.

Many others??? who exactly, there were a couple of us who called out Swann from day one, from speaking to Trinity supporters who had experience of him running their club, hard evidence, most the fans didn’t start wanting Swann out until we started plummeting down the leagues.

There is no Irony involved at all, I have no hard evidence to give me concern about Hilton, I have spoken to Ilkeston fans who had nothing but praise for him, I have also spoken to him and found him open and genuine. I am not going to judge him on rumours made up from people who don’t even support the club but claim to be in the know.

A ‘shitshow’. Really? Across all departments? Is that not a sweeping generalisation? I’ve no doubt some areas would have been, but unless you work there, and I assume you don’t, what makes you such an expert? No one’s denying savings needed to be made mind.

Yes a shitshow, you only had to attend games and/or try and use any of the hospitality and retail operations to see how bad it was, is it perfect now??? No there is work to be done but it is a hell of a lot better than it was!

Many of the Swann sympathisers, like bpg, Brianiron etc, are backing Hilton. I don’t know where this idea that Hilton critics or those with concerns are Swann lovers have come from. Swann will never be forgiven by me for his idiotic handling of the club and for where we are. It doesn’t mean I am going to just blindly back Hilton though.

I don’t remember ever saying anyone should be blindly backing Hilton, what I am doing is backing him until I am given a firm reason not too, and I do mean a form reason, not rumours by shit stirrers claiming to have “inside knowledge”

Get Jerry to pay for all the free tickets and hospitality he’s used over the years. That will make a sizable dent.

Bang out of order, you clearly have no idea what Jerry had done for the club on a voluntary basis over the years, not to mention local junior football or you wouldn’t post such a stupid comment.

I did not see a need at the time as she rarely goes to football and the few times I took her to GP over the previous 2 seasons I was able to get them through the ticket office by a simple phone call.

The fact still remains that by simply taking up the offer when purchasing your ticket then your Daughter would have the seat next to you if and when she wanted to come to a game at no extra cost to you, and no extra phone calls/messages on social media tyring to sort out a problem you didn’t need to have.

He took on a complete and utter shit show from that arsehole who most of you now slating Hilton worshipped for such a long time before waking up to the truth. Let’s be very clear the position this club is in is nothing to do with Hilton, he is trying to sort the mess out left behind and it cannot all be done straight away. None of you know what the CCJ relates too even those of you like SNOT who claims to have “inside” information on everything at the club but in reality knows sod all and doesn’t even attend games and has been proven to be a liar on this site.

Can only agree/repeat what has already been said, fantastic all round performance from players and management, didn’t sample the food but my lad said his burger was insanely good served quickly as well. Have to agree with the reply to the complaint about not being able to get his Daughter a ticket, no excuse when you are offered a free season ticket when you buy an full price one.

Decent enough squad for the league we’re in but if they are being managed by a pub team manager…………

How can somebody that doesn’t attend games comment on the Managers or Players?

Rory deserves a club, easily good enough for National League or League 2, he got the shitty end of the stick here, playing behind the worst Scunthorpe United side I have seen in my lifetime and fans expectations for a League 2 level keeper being far too high.

Absolutely nailed it MK, very difficult to disagree with anything you have said there. I will admit to being cautiously optimistic about the season ahead both on and off the pitch.

Someone has put something in the wrong place not the end of the world have a day off

I think you’ll find it is.
I once pressed the quote button on a wrong post and was hounded for days by Prat O’Fake, I had to apologise to stop him crying and wetting himself.

You weren’t hounded for days so stop bleating and man up, you wrongly accused me of something and weren’t man enough to say sorry, that’s the top and bottom of the story.

As for being fake, please enlighten us as to what I have said or done to be a fake?

The teeth gnashers won’t like that, unless the pies are hot of course 🤣

After they’ve stopped making death threats and threatening peoples wives they may take time out to notice they’re man” Dave” did something other by than wear the right jumper

It doesn’t matter who ran this club people like you will never be happy or be willing to give an ounce of credit, you were the same with Wharton on the old site, always negative. I have yet to see a positive post from you about anything, football or non football.

When in the last 5 seasons Bartoniron66 have we managed to wreck something if it was promising.

The last 5 years have been text book ‘How to do it wrong if that is what is required’ !

I was feeling fairly optimistic after last seasons pre-season and the Yeovil game, I didn’t think we were going to walk the league or anything but I thought we would be higher mid table, I certainly didn’t think we would implode as we did.

Maybe Deerey’s been serving a ban and that’s why he’s not been seen anywhere near glanny park, good news for him though maybe not for others, Hilton’s giving an amnesty to all that have one.

a large portion of Hilton’s fan base have served bans and some will do so in the future

And a large portion of the shit stirrers against him have served bans, (at least two have served prison sentences).

There you go again pat,he’s not being slagged off for saying he’ll get it right is he? It only work for you if h was, another user on here used to do that trick and you hated him for it

ermmm, yes he was, read the post again.

Just have,he’s saying he doesn’t like what he says not that he doesn’t like him having his say which are two different concepts

When did I say he said he doesn’t like him having his say???? Do you just make stuff up as you go along?

So you think Hilton can get the stadium for free and force him into a rent deal he doesn’t want? It doesn’t matter who the owner is. It could be Wharton, Swann, the Glazers, Elon Musk or Monty Burns, I don’t see how Hilton can claim GP based on his stated reasoning. I don’t see how anyone could just get a stadium essentially for free. Like I said, it’s not about believing Swann, it’s about the logistics. Of course I could be wrong.

He doesn’t want it for free.

Why dont SUFC sub contract the matchday catering out ?? if they cant do it right find some one who can

I could be wrong but I’m sure the club tried this when Swann was here and it was even worse.

Who cares about burgers and onions

We should all care, EVERY revenue stream is crucial to a club our size, especially one with huge mark up potential like food & drink.

    So WHAT WAS THE SCORE???
Who cares about burgers and onions

A very good performance from The Iron, we passed a league side off the pitch in spells. If Roberts can stay fit we will have a player that will get bums off seats every time he gets the ball. I thought we looked solid at the back after a shaky start. Kouogun, Denton & Kelly look to be quality signings also. Not keen on Rance and I’m on the fence about Whitehall, on the whole I’m pretty optimistic about the coming season.

    David White on Facebook…

A few things I’d just like people to know.

Firstly, the service and quality of the food and drink previously available to our supporters has not been to the standards you deserve. Measures have been taken including a change of supplier and new additions to the menu to remedy this.
I have now been made aware that despite my instructions to ensure we always have to much, rather than not enough, we ran out of food and certain drinks quite early on Saturday causing considerable embarrassment to me and the club.
I have also been alerted to the fact that the supporters match day experience with us are being impacted by the speed and level of service they are receiving providing such things.

The feedback from you is not complaining or negativity. I need it to be able to eradicate the problems and ensure we are always looking to improve. We still clearly have a long way to go.

I will be meeting with all staff on Monday emphasising what my expectations are, also how important these secondary spends are to ensure the club’s sustainability and progression and how important it is to give supporters the best match day experience possible. We want to encourage people to spend with us by not leaving any supporter in a queue far too long or by wondering if they will even be catered for at all.

Moving forward we will be better, I apologise to everybody and promise that the situations I’ve mentioned above will be resolved for Tuesday evening.

On a separate issue, the lads throwing tennis balls onto the pitch have now been identified on CCTV. Anybody causing a disturbance or issues before, during or after a game will be banned permanently from attending fixtures, we will also send our own officer to away fixtures to ensure this works home and away.

This is not something I want to happen and I’ve shown that by giving previously banned supporters a second chance.
Please respect that issues like this will create the club extra work, they carry financial implications and potentially catastrophic sanctions.

It is childish and completely unacceptable and quite simply it will not be tolerated.

It’s a fresh start for the club and everyone who cares. Please help us remove the culprits attempting to spoil things for us all.

Comes across as arrogant IMO. Blaming everyone else but himself. Not interested in your bollockings you’re going to be dishing out – just sort it out and stop whingeing on Facebook. Bloke’s got a bad attitude.

FFS, here we go again…he says nothing and gets slagged off for keeping fans in the dark, so he comes out on social media, apologises for the issues fans experienced and promises to put it right and guess what? He gets slagged for that, talk about a brick and a hard place!

ny more info .. attendance , how many scunny traveled ? was DH there ?

Not sure on attendance, my guess would have been getting for 1000, healthy following from The Iron but difficult to say how many as no segregation.

Didn’t see DH but I would be surprised if he wasn’t there, seen him at all the other friendlies so far.

Kelly looks to be a great signing, very vocal, nice to see so many leaders on the pitch, something we have lacked for some time.

I have no issue with that. However, some of us have scepticism of Hilton and digs at those of us who are won’t create unity. Such digs are not dissimilar to the wealth hating accusations from Bucks, UTI99 and co. I may be wrong in my scepticism, but I’d rather be wrong in this than shut down worries I have.

On topic now, I feel like this protest will be futile. It will take a lot for VAR to be removed now.

The difference is there were facts to back up the obvious doubts about Swann if people were willing to look hard enough and not just love the fact he was chucking money we didn’t have at a championship dream, a dream a few of us tried telling you would end in tears. There are no facts to suggest Mr Hilton has an ulterior motive against Scunthorpe United other than the ludicrous comments about Swann still owning the ground from people that don’t understand that a sale needs two people to complete.

I didn’t have anything to eat at the ground but my lads did and both said in was top notch (one had a pie and one a burger, and both looked good quality). Clubhouse was clean and roomy with plenty of staff serving, decent beer and £11 for 4 drinks. That is how to make money over and above ticket sales. The Farmhouse, maccies and KFC get most of Scunthorpe fans money, which was always my point.
