If you think that then you may as well not bother typing on this forum anymore or supporting the club. In my opinion you may as well wait till the season is over and then decide if you want to carrying on supporting us in the National League.
Look, it’s an uphill battle but why not show at least a bit of faith until the players come in and just back us until it’s impossible to stay up.
I don’t get some people at all.
Why should not type on here or stop supporting the club just because you don’t agree with his opinion? You may not agree with him but his opinions and posts are very bit as valid as yours and mine.

Through thick and thin. Simple.
When have we had thick during Daddies tenure????
And while we are at it can you please answer the question I have asked you god knows how many times……Name ONE thing that has improved under Swann’s tenure?
How many of this squad would walk into any other league two team? O’Malley, maybe Pugh that’s it.
O’Malley takes a lovely free kick and corner but defensively he’s pretty poor. I think he’ll improve but there must be plenty of much better left backs in this division.
Based on recent form I would say Watson would get a game at most clubs.

Generally in agreement, Pat. Not with the last sentence though…not on Saturday’s performance. Hill has instilled shedloads of fight into them. That’s why I didn’t enjoy the smattering of boos at the end (the cheers for Rory excepted) as one or two of the kids came towards the fans and pulled away crestfallen. Maybe the boos were for Swanny …but it was like the Alamo out there at times and yet they came within a missed penalty of a point despite there being virtually no quality on the pitch. I would say that fight was all we had really.
Agree with your comments JI, but I was talking generally, more often than not over the last few seasons we have simply rolled over in front of the opposition, Saturday was an exception, not the norm. And lets have it right if weren’t for Rory we would have got dicked on Saturday.
I can’t believe that. After getting new owners I thought they’d be storming the league.
At least they have some nice food to keep the ‘customers’ happy.
I don’t expect us to be storming the league under any owner, Swann included. What I do expect from any owner is to be not lied to and at least one promise fulfilled, Oh! and a team with a bit of fight win, lose or draw!

he can’t be any worse than what we have got, Burns doesn’t look as good as Scrimshaw to me and was no threat yesterday, can’t knock him for trying.
Bit harsh on Burns, he was pissing in the wind on Saturday with zero support, you could see how visibly frustrated he was becoming the longer the game went on.

BARROW PLAYED 24——-POINTS 26
COLCHESTER PLAYED 24——-POPINTS 22
SCUNTHORPE PLAYED 25——-POINTS 19
OLDHAM PLAYED 24——-POINTS 18Well done Mr Swann, you have done wonders, and just a reminder, that Covid has also been present in the towns of the other twenty teams that are above us four in League Two!!
And UTI & his mate STILL refuse to accept Swann is at fault!

I don’t believe you Les, everything was rosy until 2013.
I can’t make my mind up as to whether you are just thick or deliberately missing the point over and over to just wind people up.
Nobody said everything was rosy until 2013. The fans knew we were not a great side in those days, but what we did have was players that would run their knackers off for Scunthorpe United, I personally can accept my team getting beaten if I can see that they have given their best for the paying supporters. I don’t support Scunthorpe United because I think we will be challenging for silverware at the end of a season, I support them because they are my home town team, and because I used to feel part of something, and always had hope of the odd cup run or a push for promotion every now and then. Right now there is no hope of anything other than another toothless preformance and 11 players rolling over for the opposition every week. Our previous Chairmen didn’t make promises that were impossible to achieve and recklessly spend money chasing glory while plunging the club into millions of debt! The club is a soulless pit with fans and owners poles apart whereas years gone by we were in it together, win, lose or draw. OSG was a shit hole but it was our shit hole, now there is nothing, no togetherness, no connection between club & supporters, no matchday experience, no hope & nothing to look forward to……thank you Mr Swann.

Whether people agree or disagree with UTI he has every right to offer his view without others slanging him off. Like UTI, I rarely post on here because of the abuse that comes whenever anyone holds a view that doesn’t meet with general approval. Is there any wonder, therefore, that UTI himself fights back.
It’s also worth saying that UTI is making a very valid point. As he points out, it’s highly unlikely that the land is worth anything like the amount that Swann has put into the club.
I’m bitterly disappointed by how Swann’s let things slide and feel very let down as a result of this. However, it’s absurd to suggest he’s somehow happy about what’s happened or the outcome. What’s more, we haven’t been relegated yet. Plenty of clubs have been through incredibly tough times and fought back. There’s no reason we can’t do the same.
Bucks you double standards never fail to astound me!! Yes UTI is entitled to his opinions BUT everyone esle is also!! However when we try voice our opinions we are accused of saying thigs that we haven’t, having agenda’s that we don’t and when you are challenged on it you cry like a baby and disappear!
Just because I believe that Peter Swann is the worst Chairman in the history of Scunthorpe United does not mean that I want us to get relegated! Do you think I enjoy handing over my hard earned every week to sit in a shit hole of stadium and watch utterly shocking football, just so that I can say I’m right???? I would love nothing more than to be proved wrong…..can you see it happening?
While far from optimistic I’m not giving up on the club and still hope that Swann can turn things round. I can’t help feeling that while there are some on here who might say the same thing, in reality they wouldn’t be too upset if we were to go down because it would “prove them right”.
1 user thanked author for this post.
You can love him or hate him, it doesn’t alter the fact that he is right, many, many of you on here harped on about where we would be without Peter Swann, now look where we are with him!
7 users thanked author for this post.
You really are thick as….
Do you honestly believe he’s gone to the trouble over the last 9 years of paying £11million for a piece of land in Scunthorpe? The land is probably worth half that and if he wanted some land I’m sure Scunthorpe wouldn’t be top of his list.
Now I know why I didn’t post for months, it makes your eyes bleed the shite on here.
OK then smart arse, if we are all wrong then what are his motives for buying a football club and then running it into the ground and the verge of oblivion???
2 users thanked author for this post.
I almost didn’t go yesterday with the football on offer lately and the weather, but so glad I did, much, much better, more effort, more desire and a joy to see us actually trying to attack. I thought Jarvis, Millen and Beesting were excellent and I left GP having thoroughly enjoyed the game, something I haven’t been able to say for a long, long time.

Cox wasn’t the problem, neither were the god knows how many Managers before him. I and other have been trying to tell you all the problem for a long time yet you all keep calling for manager after manager to be sacked, wake up and smell the coffee people.
Most of the travellers have more right to be here than these drop outs that are invading our shores, but try telling some people on here, and you know what they will call you:- you are allowed one guess!!!!!
None of us have right to be here, it is a privilege.
Why is it the majority of you just cannot see that it does not matter who is Manager of this football club? get into your heads that while Swann is here we could have a Jurgen and Pep double act and it won’t make a blind bit of difference!!! How many Managers have we had under Swanns tenure? 8? 9? Ive lost count!!! You can’t tell me they have all been bad Managers and if they have how can Swann get it so wrong on so many occasions???
Cox was yet another scapegoat! the person that needs to go is Swann, until he does we will just keep doing what we have been doing since he took over, dropping lower and lower.
SOD OFF SWANN AND TAKE YOUR FOOTBALL MANAGER WANNABE SON WITH YOU!

Adkins wouldn’t touch us with a barge pole and who could blame him?
3 users thanked author for this post.
Some of us tried to say from the beginning that his reckless spending was unsustainable but we were told by Bucks and the like that we didnt know what we were talking about and that the debt being created was manageable because of Swanns vast wealth, we were even accused of hating Swann because of his wealth!!! What those of us that could see was happening was that we hated the debt we were getting into BECAUSE of his wealth, there is a huge difference!

There you go…
“If there is anyone out there who wants to invest or buy the club, it’s available with all its assets, no lease,”
I’m sure Swanns phone will be red hot now.
Let’s see!
The club doesn’t have any assets you moron!!!! Swann took them!
1 user thanked author for this post.
Swann has publicly said he’d sell the club, let’s see how much interest there is.
My guess is zero!
The amount of people who think people will be queuing up to buy SUFC is truly baffling. I didn’t realise there are so many people who are so naive/thick.
I dont remember anyone saying people were queuing up to buy the club, unless you can point me in the direction of someone that has? He walked away from Gainsborough so why can’t he walk away from us?
1 user thanked author for this post.
“the way it has been taken by the fans”
And this clown STILL blames the fans and cannot accept Swann is to blame for any of this mess! Come on UTI even Bucks had the balls to admit he was wrong, if he can, you can too?
2 users thanked author for this post.
So you going to hold a grudge forever Pat, enjoy.
Well how long should I hold it??? Tell me I’m wrong, tell me ONE thing just ONE that has improved under Swann’s tenure? Tell me ONE promise he has delivered on? I’m happy to be proved wrong?
Nice to see it is up and running ,with all email contact addresses, though I can see one club stooge in there. Let’s everyone try and use these if you have concerns, at least you should get a reply but please give them time to try and resolve issues.
8 years is not enough time? I think they have had plenty of time and all that has happened is that everything from the ground to the football on the pitch has got a lot worse!
3 users thanked author for this post.
At least the club are trying, and they’ve got to start again from somewhere to get many of you onboard, so at least give it a go. Or is everyone gonna be like alcy and hold a grudge forever. I know scunny fans are good at that. BS just been on 8 different club web sites everyone pushing the tickets barring one and they are pushing the shirts, at Lincoln you even need an appointment to go and get your season ticket, funnily enough the only club not pushing them was scunny, they were pushing the supporters panel. So really were no different to any other club in that respect.
Here’s an idea, instead of slagging of the very fans that have supported this football club through thick & thin over many, many years why not try challenging the guy that has failed to deliver a single thing he said he would when took the club over?
3 users thanked author for this post.
Seems harsh, perhaps you could enlighten the masses with the reasons for your opinion, supported by factual evidence maybe?
Of course he won’t because he doesn’t have any factual evidence, just like he doesn’t have a backbone, if he did he would challenge John about his accusations in flesh rather than slating him from behind a keyboard.
1 user thanked author for this post.
Has John been to a game since he has had to pay?
YES HE HAS!!!!!!!
Well said Iron-awe, John did not get freebies, freebies insinuate getting something for nothing in return, John EARNED his ticket for running the away bus!
Donny Road lads were chanting “get your tits out for the boys”, this is normal,
I remember black players getting racists chants at every ground back in the 80’s as being the norm, shall we go back to allowing that at football grounds as well?
Its not down to posters on here to make sure people at the club are doing the jobs they are paid to do! As I said earlier, who is Managing the Food & Beverage side of the business? All they have to do is walk in the Iron Bar on a matchday to see what a shambles it is! The same for the state of the seats in the stadium, who is the stadium manager and why is he/she not managing stuff like this?
3 users thanked author for this post.
Haven’t any of you got a voice, wouldn’t be happening if I went in and there were so few people in and it was taking so long, raise your voice get angry with them. The photos do show no one at the bar and no queue, what was the problem?, if people were walking away why?. If you couldn’t get served in a bar that sparsely populated there’s something wrong with you and not the staff.
Shouting and screaming at the staff is not the answer, if they are not capable of doing the job they are paid to do then the club should deal with them accordingly and get staff in that are capable, who is Managing them??? Any hospitality venue worth it’s salt has a food & beverage Manager? This is not a new thing, it’s being going on for years now, the Iron Bar should be rammed every home game, and it would be if it was Managed properly especially now that The Berkeley is shut.
I tried and tried to get these points across for a long time, but was ridiculed by the resident club apologists who no longer comment because they are not man enough to admit they were wrong about Swann. None of this is anything new, the service in the Iron Bar and food kiosks has always been a joke, in the Iron Bar the lady that appears to be in charge (short lady with dark hair) spends more time gossiping to her staff and mates that stand at the bar than she does serving customers.
