The person responsible for this entire shit show should be man enough to be there and answer questions but he’s too much of a coward to do that.
The COO & CEO will only divulge what they have been told they are allowed to divulge.

All great points, can’t see a negative with any of them personally.
Their idea of support is sometimes rather idiotic. Singing derogatory chants about OUR own team and hurling dogs abuse at OUR own players is no way to support them.
They should concentrate their energy on the opposition players if they need someone to abuse!
NO PLAYER GOES OUT ONTO THE PITCH TO MAKE MISTAKES ON PURPOSE!
Nobody got dog’s abuse, stop being such a drama queen!
Displaying passion is welcome. However, if some of them were racist to Nuttall, then those fans don’t deserve any backing.
IF the home fans were actually involved in shouting racist abuse at him, then I understand why he would show them the middle finger. I’m not however convinced that they did. Kieth said that he had some grovelling to do and would have to apologise. Surely he wouldn’t have said that if racism was in any way involved.
There was no racist abuse that’s a lie

Ah the old adage of being able to give it but not take it. Nuttall didn’t give me the middle finger he gave the lad(s) shouting abuse at him it.
Such cry babies. Violent people can’t get handcuffed, Nuttall can’t give it back after being abused. What a flaky society we live in.
Are you a professional moron or is it just a hobby??? The lad that got cuffed was shoved and verbally abused BEFORE he became aggressive so there’s your giving but not taking it shoved where the sun don’t shine!
Pat there’s been an open air cinema, circus, park and ride for NHS workers, limitless Lego, walking football, visits to schools and hospital at xmas, footy course’s every school holiday, the stadium is used most days for educational purposes, look up Study United or Scunthorpe United community sports and educational trust, and see the work they do for the community, even this coming Saturday there’s a remembrance for fans and players who have past away this last year, which as been well received by Hartlepool fans saying what a nice touch and hope their club take it on board. And all probably with no involvement from Swanny so let’s not deride all the things we do get right just to beat Swanny over the head.
I haven’t derided the things we get right, I’m deriding the things we get wrong. Many of the things listed above are nothing to do with the club and do nothing to entice old fans back or new fans in. The open weekends used to be a great way of doing this and still could be if organised and advertised properly, a great pre-season opportunity to launch new replica kits and associated training wear, season ticket offers. Which players do these hospital visits? I haven’t seen or heard of these in a long time?

Was expecting this post.
They do say 10th time lucky don’t they?
I would settle for one season of mid table obscurity, your messiah couldn’t even manage that!
Sorry to disappoint but if you look Pat the club do all them things now,
Well I haven’t been to an open weekend for at least 5 years so it can’t have been advertised very well, and when was the last time the stadium was used for anything other than football and bonfire night?
Very sad but a true an accurate reflection of how i see things panning out if no new rich enthused owner is found.
It doesn’t necessarily have to be a rich owner, clubs can be self sustainable as Exeter and Accrington have proved, it does need somebody with enthusiasm though I agree, we do have stay away supporters out there that can be enticed back but the club has to become part of the community again with open weekends, players and coaches getting involved with community projects, visiting schools and grassroots clubs and the stadium used for other things on non matchdays.
The Stadium does need serious investment however as it’s been seriously neglected under Swanns regime.

Des Comerford, Jason Oxenforth, Brian Laws, Nigel Adkins, Cliff Byrne, Andy Crosby, Simon Elliott, Dennis Hobson a few quids worth in that lot?

Iron lion you come out with some right shit
What part of his post was complete shit???
Pointless going over all of that again, Pat. In my defence I don’t think we’re where we are because of “missed commercial opportunities”.
I agree it’s pointless, that’s exactly why I said let’s just draw a line and move on. I am not saying for one minute that missed commercial opportunities are the reason we are where we are BUT, they are a big cog in the whole shit show that has got us here!

In the good times, the players & manager receive the accolades.
In the bad times, the board / chairman feel the heat.
SUFC will never win the Premier League or Champions League.
SUFC will never be a ‘big’ club.
Scunthorpe ain’t ever going to be a ‘metropolis’.
SUFC ain’t ever going to have big crowds as Scunthorpe doesn’t have a big population.150 years ago, the population was only 278.
In 2016 the population was 82,000
Exactly the same can be said for many, many clubs much higher in league status than us.
regarding population, Burnley is 88,920!
In 2016 the population was 82,000
Although I agree a sit in is not a good idea, it certainly won’t bring a points deduction next season.
Fair play to you Bucks, but I will say although you took flack for supporting him, you dished plenty out to those of us that saw straight through him from the start, especially to me when all I was doing was pointing out valuable missed commercial opportunities. Anyway we are where we are and I think it’s time to draw a line under it.
I would give a limb for mid table obscurity next season right now!
I’m devastated because this should never have been allowed to happen, I will be at Bradford, mainly because I enjoy away games much more than the pathetic matchday experience of GP, I have never supported Scunthorpe United for the glory it was always about the matchday experience, it used to be special win, lose or draw. We used to be entertained because we had a team that went out to win no matter what the opposition was. I have watched some Scunthorpe teams desperately short of quality over the years but we always had players that gave everything on the pitch and that has always been what’s important for me, if I left the ground felling the lads had given everything then I was happy whatever the result.
Now we have a gutless owner that has ran away rather than face the music, gutless players that couldn’t give two shits about the club, and absolute dump of a stadium that has been left to rot by the current owner without a penny of investment, matchday staff that don’t give a toss, stewards that think its ok to shove and verbally abuse fans and then cry when said fan bites back, it really is sad, sad times……but hey, I tried pointing out over and over again where the club was going and got ridiculed.

You know a lot about goalkeepers Pat specialist subject is it, “Howard has been shocking” was one of your posts.Mmmm.
I don’t remember a single post of mine alluding to knowing a lot about goalkeepers other than me saying our league position is not the fault of Rory Watson and our goal difference would be a whole lot worse had it not been for him this season.
If I were in the Managers seat there are a lot more positions I would be looking to improve in before the goalkeeper in this squad.

However, whilst Swann has been a total disaster, let’s not forget that we had 30 years of pretty shit football under Wharton.
I have to disagree with that, firstly Pearson was the Chairman from the 80’s until we moved to GP, and although we weren’t massively successful on the pitch during the 90’s we were always competitive in the league and for the most part I left GP feeling that I had been entertained win, lose or draw, we generally went into every game trying to win it even if more often than not we didn’t.
Never get tired of videos like that.
Saw one recently of the Yeovil game in 2007. The terrace has never been more packed; certainly not enough room to throw a tennis ball.
Sharp/Keogh always get the plaudits but it’s Amazing how we got so much out of an average player like Morris, Goodwin, Baraclough and the legend himself cliffy
Byrne.Completely agree, the spine of that team was outstanding – Murphy, Crosby, Barraclough, Sharp then add in the attacking quality surrounding them, we certainly were spoilt.
I have lots of sympathy for our younger supporters who have only been fans whilst the disgraceful Swanns have been here and have not witnessed the fabulous successful years.
Exactly this, my lad never got see the fantastic times we had, when he’s in the Iron Bar with me he stares at the pictures of a full GP and players celebrating and he can’t believe how good we were. And i’m not just talking about success and winning every week, when I was his age we were at OSG and crap BUT we felt we were part of something and as crap as the team was EVERY SINGLE ONE of them gave 100% for Scunthorpe United, week in , week out.

So when you turncoats start on your next scapegoat expect the same arguments.
SCAPEGOAT!!!!! FECKING, SCAPEGOAT!!!!!!
A scapegoat is…….a person who is blamed for the wrongdoings, mistakes, or faults of others.
Who’s mistakes is Swann being blamed for you utter clown???
6 users thanked author for this post.
Well that’s a matter of conjecture Ironawe.
Well it’s not is it? If you have been attending games and have a pair of working eyes you would see Ironawe is 100% correct.
Anyone that thinks our problem has been the goalkeeper this season knows absolutely nothing about football.

C. Who would set up a Phoenix Club?
Same as numerous other clubs – The Fans.

But I don’t remember any protests when we were chucking money at It to get into the championship, which ultimately has put us in this position as the money ran out fast
There were from a couple of us on here that saw straight through Swann from the start, we listened to what the Gainsborough fans told us, unfortunately we were ridiculed by the majority on here when we tried to say what was happening was unstainable and would end in tears.
Bucks is noticeable by his absence, he was one of the worst for telling us what idiots we were and that Swann is a brilliant businessman, we were going to get a shiny new stadium that wouldn’t cost us a penny, how grateful we should be for having Swann at the club.
You can’t give a stand to the away team that includes hundreds of season ticket places you dickhead.
We did for the Cardiff game, plenty of season tickets holders for the Donny Road End.

I’ve got better things to do than pretend walking from the Honest Lawyer to the ground will have any effect on Swanns ability to find a buyer.
Better things to do???? What better things??? Scouting at Mickelover Sports for a new winger we can loan out to Dundee?

I’ll put as many 10p’s in as I want!
I never said you could’t did I? What I said was, get your facts right first!
I never once said anything that wasn’t true!
No you didn’t but you didn’t give both sides of the story either did you? Neither did your alter ego.
I would rip your arm of for 12th right now.

The difference Barton is that I completely lost interest in football altogether. I don’t even bother watching MOTD on a Saturday night, something unthinkable years ago. Whereas others, who would still love to go are being stubborn and deliberately boycotting the club just because of Swann. Cutting your nose off to spite your face so to speak.
What would you suggest the fans do? Just accept paying the same entrance fee week after week for a poorer and poorer standard of football in a stadium that hasn’t had a penny of investment in years?
