I have never had a problem paying a bit more for good quality food & drink, I do however have problem paying top dollar for crap which is what happens at the majority of stadiums.

There are just as many shite male pundits as there are female ones (probably more in all honesty) so bemused as to what gender has to do with it???
Roy Keane & Martin O’Neil are my favourites, don’t mind Dion Dublin either.
Has there been any more information about the loan/mortgage which is apparently secured against the stadium? I remember seeing the announcement on Companies House but has the club or owner made any comment about it?
Don’t be daft mate he’s not going to give us morons any info he isn’t forced to.

They can’t want it that bad if they think the best answer is to desert them.
Ahhh so its ok for your hero to desert the team and stop attending games but not for the poor sods that have to pay to watch shite football in a shite, filthy stadium? Great logic!
Have a day off pal.

Great news, will go along way to increasing Hills playing budget.
No it won’t.

Results are ALL that matter.
Just when you think this clown couldn’t say anything more stupid he proves us all wrong!

Cracking game, thoroughly enjoyed it.
The really worrying thing is he is far short of what we require but still miles away from what we can afford.

While there’s a club Pat I am sure nothing will ever be good enough for you.
Not really sure where you are coming from but if you would like to point out 1 single criticism from me that is either unjustified or not true I will happily apologise and withdraw it. I have given plenty of praise for things the club have done right over the many years I have commented on this site and the one before it and even back to the old message board on the official site. It is not my fault that there has been precious little to praise in recent years even though yourself and UTI believe everything is the fans fault I’m afraid it isn’t ONE person is to blame and it is not the fans. Credit should be given where credit is due in my opinion, if you chose to clap like a preforming seal and accept incompetence thats your look out.

Maybe the club should stop giving them opportunity to deride?
1 user thanked author for this post.
A lot of posters should be ashamed of themselves going out of their way to deride and ridicule everything to do with Scunthorpe United it’s a club your supposed to love not hate, what the fucks up with you?.
Might be worth the club putting a bit of effort, you do nothing, you get nothing, reap what you sow etc…

How can people be so blind to the self harm the ‘stayaways’ are causing? The club is dependent on FANS MONEY!
That cannot be the case because when I quite rightly complained on here about fans wanting to spend money at the club but were unable to as it was almost impossible to get served and if you were lucky enough there was nothing to purchase I was ridiculed by you and your pal Bucks?
Just think on Pat and be thankful that you don’t support one of those teams who don’t win awards. The award was for family excellence though, I don’t attend many home games for exactly the same reasons Pat, but that doesn’t mean we have to slag off the things the club do get right, unless they move the ground back into town the match day experience will always be shite but that’s never going to happen, all nothing to do with Swann just the Bradford fire and Pearson acting in haste he’s the man to blame I’m afraid.
I didn’t slag it off, I said the standard must be pretty low for us to get an award and I will standby that comment based on my own experience.

Do you have any proof of this assault occurring Pat? If so I’d hope the police are dealing with the matter.
There is a thing called reasonable force which needs to applied, especially when there’s a focus on people being under influence of drink/drugs.
I don’t understand why when people step into a football stadium they expect to be treated lightly if they act like a prick (employees too).
No I don’t have proof I just thought I would make it up for a laugh!!! I was there and I know what I saw & heard, the lad was stood at the wall with his hands on the wall/gate, fair enough he shouldn’t have been stood where he was, but that is no excuse for the guy to shove him what did he think his response was going to be??? and then in the ensuing mele he also called the fan a fat C U Next Tueusday!!! Totally out of order and unacceptable for a guy supposed to be there for crowd safety! You can’t act like that and then play the victim when somebody kicks off back at you.

I’m glad we employed a security company who wouldn’t allow pitch invasions. Credit to SUFC for limiting numbers on pitch to about half a dozen in last couple of games.
This week has shown what can happen if you mollycoddle pricks.
Are you also glad SUFC employs a security company that assaults fans and wonder why they kick off?
The only pricks are the ones that think they can treat people how they want and take the law into their own hands just because they have a hi-vis on!

Just to be fair Deerey that’s all when we do get things right, 2 free tickets for under twelves must go along way to a good family experience, not one club I went to last year offered this, a shout out is given to new junior supporters, junior download on the on the club web page before every home game. At the end of the day posters need to take that chip off their shoulders and give credit where credit is due or just keep quite, it’s not as though Swanny will have any thing to do with family experience is it.
No chip on my shoulder pal I just speak as I find and what I have found is that the overall match experience is shite as is the neglected dump of a stadium we sit in to watch us get dicked every other week.

Anyone that thinks its acceptable to run up and headbutt somebody for absolutely no reason whatsoever has no place in a civilised society in my opinion, alcohol fuelled or not!

Pay, do you ever stop crying?
Do you ever stop talking bollocks??? What in my post is not factual??? Did you not say the fan that was cuffed deserved what he got despite him being the one that was attacked first???
1 user thanked author for this post.
Well not much praise there after all , what a surprise! We win praise from an independent source and the club still gets derided Mmm.
Tell us where we are wrong then? What else is there that we have missed?
Not sure how, match day experience is terrible for kids
To be fair to Glyn he does a great job as the bunny interacting with kids and trying to whip up some kind of atmosphere pre match, but that’s all we have, the bar must be pretty low for these awards if that’s all you have to do to get one.

Great post Captain, hitting the nail squarely on the head 99% of our fans now see the light we only have one that refuses to blame Swann for this mess…he choses to blame the fans, he even blames the fans for kicking off when they are physically and verbally assaulted by so called security.
1 user thanked author for this post.
If everyone had that attitude there would be no club.
You get what you deserve!
So totally ignoring my post after wrongly slinging accusations my way!?!
No Scunthorpe United fans deserve what your hero has done to this once great little club.

Pat, I can’t remember the last time I posted directly about the Swanns. All my posts are about the supporting the team/club because all ‘customers’ like you are doing is fast tracking the club into administration.
Is that what you want???
Firstly I am a supporter, not a customer! Had any other business gave me the service this joke of a club have given me I would have taken my custom elsewhere a long time ago!
Secondly how am I fast tracking the club into administration?? I attend every home game work allows me to and as many away games my work and family life allow me to (I didn’t miss a single Saturday home game just a few evening kick off’s due to work or family commitments) I also try to spend my money on refreshments at the ground when the club can be arsed to stock properly and supply enough staff to serve customers (more often than not the money has stayed in my pocket due to utter incompetence on the clubs behalf)
Instead of blaming fans for the utter shit show going on at GP direct the blame at the marvellous businessman you admire so much!

I’m not bothered about what the Swanns do or don’t do.
You have certainly proved that with absolute drivel you have posted in his defence over the years.

I don’t remember them trying to invade the pitch or assault security staff either. What’s your point?
That’s probably because Newcastle’s security staff don’t see fit to physically and verbally assault fans and then wonder why they kick off?
But thats you all over UTi, stick up for bully’s in hi-vis over the fans!

I don’t see anything in his post that states details of contracts should be revealed?
1 user thanked author for this post.
Are you seriously comparing a club that makes more in shirt sales alone in one season than we do in about 10 years worth of ticket sales?
And this exactly where we are. Does anyone seriously think that Swann is going to hand our stadium and land back to us for nothing? Of course he isn’t, he doesn’t care about Scunthorpe United and anyone that thinks he does is deluded.
The only way we will get OUR stadium and land back is if somebody is willing to stump up what Swann wants for it and we don’t know what that is but I would wager it’s not far off the £11m that has been talked about, nobody is going to pay that for some breeze blocks and corrugated steel, so the other option is somebody buys the club without the ground and land and what’s a football club without a stadium worth???
And if he said he was going Pat, that would be an excuse for fans not to go ,I know that and so do you.
I don’t know that at all, in fact I would wager there would have been a far bigger turnout had he been there

Unfortunately we have a number of “supporters” that think a league 2 keeper should be a brilliant shot stopper, catch every single balls that ventures past the 18 yard line, be a world class sweeper and be able to get an assist with every kick or throw, they fail to realise that any keeper with all that in his game would not be plying their trade in league 2 !
Rory has his faults BUT he has been playing behind 10 piles of utter shite and has been used as shooting practise for pretty much every team he has come up against, our goals against is horrendous but would have been a hell of a lot worse without him this season. All in all I think you will get a good keeper who with the right coaching and support from your fans can become a VERY good keeper.
