Completely agree with Cliff Byrne’s Right Peg. I cannot see us avoiding relegation this season but we as fans need to patient, this mess will take a long time to sort out, but we have light at the end of the tunnel and taken our first step towards it. UP THE IRON!!!

his business interests will almost certainly have been hit very hard, first, by the pandemic, second, by the cost-of-living crisis and, third, by dramatically rising energy prices.

As will every single other business in the UK if not the world but good business owners find ways to adapt and evolve. As has already been stated this decline started long, long before Covid and the energy crisis, it started the minute that arsehole walked through the door with his bullshine about how he was going to run the club properly and build a new stadium that we didn’t need and couldn’t afford.

Even Super Nige couldn’t sort this shit show out mate. I’ve said it before, it doesn’t matter who the Manager is, while Swann is here we are only going down, what is anyone supposed to do with this squad?

Swann’s not going to lose either way as the land he kindly signed over to his company is worth a fair amount and he get’s that even if the clubs goes bust.
All he would have to do is sell it on to developers and then he’ll trot off into the sunset.
Swann won’t be that bothered if we go under as he has assets already in his companies name. There’s no flies on Swannster.

But he’s going to give the ground back, he said so.

    Ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha!

I continue to go simply because my love for Scunthorpe United far outweighs my distain for the prick that is doing this to our club.

The 1st half on Saturday was the worst half of football I have ever seen, and Maidstone are the worst side apart from Scunthorpe that I have seen at GP/OSG in nigh on 40 years of attending yet still beat us comfortably….sigh!

Bucks and his “usual suspects” he rolled out that line against me and others when he was trying to tell us all what a wonderful job Swann was doing and what a fantastic business man he was and how grateful we should all be to have such a brilliant Chairman at the club.

Us “usual suspects” were accused of having an agenda and hating his wealth….all lies with absolutely nothing to back the claims up with.

Feel sorry for the children expecting their Scunthorpe United kits on Christmas day. The shop has always had plenty of stock at Christmas. If this is true and the shop isn’t being re-stocked by Swann it would be no surprise to me as it would just be a continuation of his total disregard for supporters. Its beginning to feel as if he actually hates our supporters due to us disagreeing with his disastrous tenure of our Club and to where we are now, as nothing is ever his fault.

He has ALWAYS hated those of us that didn’t fall for his BS from day one, he hates anyone that dares question him, listen to any interview he has ever done and note the change in his tone if anybody questions a decision of him or god forbid dares to critisise him.

This forum really is a home for scaremongers. How many actually get their money in the bank accounts every month on the same date?
Instead of whinging why don’t the stay away supporters do the team a favour and get off their backside and go and support them on match days. Whinging about Swann is not going to save the club, the only thing that will the club (if it really is in dire straits) is by turning up putting some money into the club.

Our payroll is a different date most months, BUT everyone knows what date each month they will receive their pay and it is ALWAYS in at midnight on that date. I don’t believe anybody has disputed the date can be different from month to month.

Wow paid on the correct day then just a little bit later than normal shock and awe is about right. Bare in mind the money is paid into different banks beforehand and is not directly paid at midnight by Scunthorpe United. We do really have a lot of sad numptys on here like someone else said on here give your head a wobble.

Do you understand how payroll works??? Wages are sent to the banks days before it is due to paid to the employees so if the correct process is followed wages would show in the bank at midnight on the correct date.

It would be interesting to see what he can do with better players around him, from what I have seen there is definitely a player there that could flourish in a better team.

and you’ve always been allowed to take Food and drinks in

No you haven’t always been allowed, just because you somebody has managed to get with them doesn’t mean they are allowed to do it!

Pat, easiest thing to do is use the ‘quote’ function rather than copy and pasting. That way you’ll quote the right person instead of Mick, and prevent winding him up mate.

I didn’t copy & paste mate, I just highlighted the quote and clicked on quote, don’t know why it came up as MM had posted it?

Pat O’Cake this is the second time you have quoted me of writing things that I haven’t said, you did it last week on another thread, I never wrote “and you’ve always been allowed to take Food and drinks in” you find where I said it because you will find it was awaywego who said that, and last week you did something similar when it was the person above me who posted it so check your facts please, I use our outlet about twice a year and in a winter I sometimes take a small flask.

All I did was highlight the quote and click quote, not my fault if the site quotes the wrong person, and I certainly didn’t mention you at any point in my post, so maybe get YOUR facts right before you get your panties in knot next time?

I keep going because Scunthorpe United is my club and I love the club, win, lose or draw and I’ll be damned if I’m going to let a ball bag like Swann stop me.

I just wish more people listened all those years ago when some of us tried to tell you what the future held under Swann, Gainsborough fans tried to tell us but all some of you could see was the shiny new stadium that was never, ever going to get built and if it had we would have gone bust before now as we simply don’t have the fan base to sustain such a stadium, something else I tried to tell you.

I will continue going until the bitter end which I fear is not far away, but we will be back as a phoenix club of some description.

Nothing wrong with his passing, as I have said before we could have a young Glenn Hoddle in midfield but he cant pass the ball if there is nobody to pass to.

His Brother runs The Crown in Ashby, seen him in there a few times, he is still local. If memory serves correctly he played a couple of games for the cods after leaving Scunthorpe.

he plans he stated all made sense

No they didn’t and some of us tried to tell you that from the moment he walked into the club, but instead of listening you chose to mock us and tell lies about us! All you had to do was speak to Trinity fans about him as I did.

Small steps in my opinion, yes we are still in the relegation places, but we are not losing week in week out and there are now some goals, fight and effort in games, something we have seen precious little of for a long, long time.

a big lad who wins nothing in the air and very rarely uses his size as a big and nasty.

You must be watching different games to me as I see him winning almost everything in the air unless its too high, some really good flick on’s v Dorking too.

We may not have the best players in the world but if each performs at their best and gives 100+%

Thats all I have ever asked for as a Scunthorpe fan, we know supporting a club our size you are going to lose your fair share of games and you will have good and not so good seasons but if I leave the ground knowing every player gave everything I will settle for it win, lose or draw.

Type Scunthorpe United tickets into Google, select the seats you would like, pay with your debit card, and tickets in your e-mail inbox instantly. On matchday show your phone at the turnstile and walk in, its the way I do it, very easy and very quick, never had an issue.

Trying to get something to eat and drink in the ground however is a completely different matter!

The games he has played in have tended to be those which have been the poorest for the Iron in making space that I’ve ever seen.
When those around you do not give you the movement you need by lolling about ball-watching you anticipate what they’ll do – and very often you’ll be wrong.
    Result – duff pass.

100% nailed it Les, the problem wasn’t Pugh it was the shite around him not showing for the ball resulting in very few options for him, I like Pugh a lot and I watched him closely in his last spell, his frustration was there for all to see when he had the ball and nobody to pass to.

“with the attacking quality we now have we should be nowhere near the bottom 4.”

    Behave!

Nutall – Been very good IMO this season
Apter – Absolute Class and should be nowhere near this level
Lavery – Looks to be the real deal

OK, they are not Sharp, Hooper & Keogh but we look far better going forward than we have for a few years

A protest without inconvenience is unlikely to achieve anything.

Throwing a flare into a group of players is not an inconvenience, its mindless and dangerous! As I said, I’m all for protests and people speaking their mind, free speech etc… but they were being dick heads on Saturday!
