Ferrite is correct.Radio Humberside pay for access to the club and it
s employees,The Telegraph don
t.Swann was supposed to be meeting the Telegraph to attempt to come to an agreement.Excellent news.We now have someone who adds that precious ingredient of credibility to the board.

Does anyone know if the Iron Trust are still encouraged by Swann`s recent behaviour?
For me the problem is solely the chairman for 2 reasons.
1.He is incompetent-Not sure that there is a cure for this.
2.He lacks credibility.I cannot see this being restored in the short term.It would be better if he stood down and let someone else (presumably his wife) herald a new start.3 users thanked author for this post.
I can understand where you`re coming from Alcy.
If only Swann came in once a week to sign cheques and then cleared off the club would be in a much better position.1 user thanked author for this post.
SKy Bet have Keith Hill at 1/10.
JB.I envisage a plush 5 star hotel situated in the leafy suburbs of Blackpool.Am i correct?
October 19, 2021 at 7:05 pm in reply to: PL clubs vote to block sponsorship deals linked to a club’s owner #216036I heard it was done to reduce our losses and avoid a football league investigation.
I agree with Sanfran. There is no mention about who will own the land on which the apartments will be built or indeed the apartments themselves.Hopefully he will clarify that tomorrow.

I was contacted by e mail.
I received confirmation from Leanne Mayo this morning for tomorrow night`s meeting.
Wharton wasn`t duped. When he retired he explained that he had spent the last 3 years trying to find a SUITABLE buyer for the club without success.
His health status then meant that he had to sell to whoever was available at the time.3 users thanked author for this post.
Awaywego the difference between us and the other clubs you name is the owners not the league you are in.
If the owners do what they say they are going to do the fans will support them.
If the owners promise one false dawn after another they won`t.7 users thanked author for this post.
Cliff,Losing the ground was the final piece in the jigsaw.
The writing was on the wall from the moment Swann obtained enough shares to do whatever he wanted unopposed.4 users thanked author for this post.
UTI99 I wish you were Swann because if he had sold up years ago the club would not be in the mess it is now and would still own its own ground etc.

UTI99 i along with most people were used to budgetary constraints at SUFC as they were used to good effect by our previous chairman.
Why has it taken so many years for our current chairman to grasp this?
If he had acted sooner we would still own our own ground etc.I think that Ernest will do 1 of 2 things :-
A) Act in an incompetent manner, pretend that covid is the root cause of everything and continue to tell everyone that we are a well run club.
B)Stun all the non believers by announcing a plethora of mouth watering signings all on the same day.
What do you think?I did mine by Paypal on Monday and received an e mail from the trust later the same day.
He would have really rated Ernest then.
Putting the club up for sale is one thing, finding a buyer is another.
With the club in its current state on and off the pitch i can
t see many people forming an orderly queue. For me there have been no highs, just empty promises none of which have been realised.
When he came in Swann mocked the way the club was run under Wharton .
Yes Wharton did lack ambition but the club over achieved and i never once feared for its future.
After 3 years of trying to find a suitable buyer Wharton`s health forced him to sell and along came Swann .
Since then it has been a mixture of ego trip and incompetence.
Firstly running the club with the expenditure of a lower championship club and the income of a mid table league 2 club which was unsustainable.Sadly it took Swann 6 years to realise that by which time the club`s balance sheet was embarrasing.
Now he is blaming covid for everything and slashing the playing budget.
When he first came he said that if he left he would leave the club debt free.! actually believed that because i understand he did that at Gainsborough Trinity.
What he failed to tell us was that in exchange for that he would take ownership of the club`s fixed assets,an act which has signalled the end for me until he has gone assuming that there will still be a club in existence by then.8 users thanked author for this post.
I take it that you are happy how our club is run then Mick.

Here here BT.
Unfortunately Ernest, the biggest underachiever of them all,is still with us.2 users thanked author for this post.
The blow of losing his job must have been softened for Russ by the glowing tribute paid to him by the chairman on the club`s website.
Yes but that was the year we did get relegated back to league 2 and he guaranteed it.

Surely this cannot be true as our open and honest chairman would have mentioned it in his response to criticism of him selling the clubs assets to his own company.

Wasn
t it the chairman
s decision to make him captain?
Ernest has a lot to answer for.1 user thanked author for this post.
Mick,does night follow day?
I completely agree with NLI.
I would like to know if the people who were asking the questions were allowed to select which questions they asked Swann. If not,who did? -
