And 1`m sure that all the previous chairmen have all taken the appropriate level of comfort from knowing that you were fully behind them.

There were 2 comments in particular which i found encouraging.
1. Just because weve got a big and nasty doesn
t mean that we have to hoof it up to him every time.
2. We showed plenty of aggression to get the ball back when we lost it but we have to learn to relax when we have got it back and use it more effectively.1 user thanked author for this post.
Turnbull showed his true colours. He is after all Swann`s paid mouthpiece.

Thanks very much for that information SST and i agree with your sentiments entirely.
We must be fast approaching the point where Turnbull and Wright`s positions become untenable.
Mick when Swann arrived a source very close to Gainsborough Trinity told me that he would give it 3 years before Swann lost interest and found something else to spend the familys time/money on (Blackpool?).Sadly,he wasn
t a million miles off being correct.1 user thanked author for this post.
Awaywego,i`m not familiar with those figures.Where did you get them from?

Awaywego when we get new owners i suspect that there could well be 1000 who return. The potential new owners in their interview with radio Humberside today said that they would not be sitting in the directors`box as it would show a lack of respect to the current owners.Your comments are a little premature.
Surprise surprise Swann couldn’t make it.
SST-I have no intention to buy a season ticket whilst Swann is still involved in any way.Do you think it is safe to buy one now?
Lesgeo. Our opinions differ on this.I agree that Hill was highly respected but is he now?His recent managerial record is nothing to shout about.
I take your point re. Swann and January and completely agree that he is the root cause of our problems.
I umderstand that Hill cannot be seen to criticise him at all,but to still be coming out and saying that our problems go beyond Swann is a step too far for me.
Hill joined us in November.Surely the season wasn`t dead then.
His record with us is abysmal.,worse than Coxs, culminating in yeterday
s horror show.
What is better now than when he arrived?3 users thanked author for this post.
A simpler explanation is that it was the usual Hill bullshit.
Samways who will be there that is in a position to give answers and reassurances regarding the club`s future?

Mick.Why do you think that?

If Swann is to be believed it won’t need any money to keep it afloat now that his business model has resulted in a break even situation.Plus of course the extra revenue from the fans who will return when Swann has gone.

Only this morning on Humberside he was telling us what a great job Swann and his wife were doing.
Yes.I am getting tired of listening to Hill.If only he was as good at managing a football team As he is at kiss arsing Swann and family!

Simon’s departure is sad but inevitable. He was beginning to risk his own creditability by defending the Swanns. Thanks for trying.Best wishes for the future. How long before he is followed by the fans’ director?

Daz,that is of course unless we really did pull off The Great Escape-from the clutches of one Ernest Pawn.

No Awaywego Swann was let down by his failure to plan and his own incompetence as per usual.

Steve Wharton had been looking for a “suitable” buyer for 3 years before Swann.Unfortunately his health situation meant that he eventually had to take who was available.

Ferrite,At the moment it
s no more than wishful thinking and the fact that it doesn
t look like Swanns has been involved in the selection process.1 user thanked author for this post.
I think that we are all trusting Keith Hill`s judgement/previous experience with the new signings in the hope that we have at long last got someone at the club whom we can trust.

Do they still send out e mails prior to each home game?
Swann for me has zero credibility.Any requests for unity etc.need to be fronted by Simon Elliott who has a far greater chance of success with supporters.

Ah the hotel in Blackpool.Only a pure genius would think of building a 5 star hotel in Blackpool.I bet the clientele can`t wait to mix it with the bargain loving brits!

UTI99 Scunthorpe United are also on track to go out of the football league. Is that also a pretty sound business strategy?
4 users thanked author for this post.
Sadly this question is years too late.Swann owns the club and can legally do with it as he pleases.Morally he will be bankrupt if he does nothing and allows it to drift out of the football league. The actions he takes over the next 21 days will prove what sort of person he is.

A rather forlorn hope i know but i hope Simon Elliott can conjure up enough support to provide us with new owners.

My memory is not what it used to be but my recollection from the shareholder`s meeting was that Swann would clear the football league loan if he felt it was necessary.Am i mistaken?
