Counting the minutes till the return of 414 thriving on defeat, cheerleading the ‘Butler Out’ boys. As far as I could tell from the commentary two defensive errors had cost us big time in a game we didn’t look like losing up till then. As Torps said, the players need to take some responsibility and maintain a decent standard. Maybe best to put this one to bed and move on. Credit to Rushall, 3 wins on the bounce now, including Kiddie away, with renewed energy and vigour. They’re clearly not as bad as the table suggests.

‘The team with a minus 25 GD are drawing 1-1 with the team who have a plus 24 GD.’

But they recently beat Kiddie and Farsley. Worth remembering.

‘Grandson just sent a video of the pitch at Rushall and no frost on it whatsoever looks fine indeed.’

Lol, What time is he planning on posting on here? Or will he just wait till the next time you’re roundly mocked?

Make your mind up awaywego. You were singing our praises the other day. Or was that just more Christmas guff on top of the existing Christmas guff?

Anyway, having a slight interest in something is hardly bleeding heart caring about it.

I don’t really care, but I do have a passing interest.

‘Injuries galore expected if it does go ahead?’

Probably less chance of that than at GP on an artificial pitch. The surface must have thawed out, so it shouldn’t be an issue.

I know little about pitches and how long they need to be left before use but one month seems a bit soon. Or is that the standard time, if it’s decent quality?

Also, if it becomes unplayable at some point this season, might there be an option to play remaining home game at Gainsborough? Or at least for the time it takes to install a 3G pitch or new turf?

Seen Counties level pitches in far better state this season, with many more games being played on them (women’s, juniors, youth teams etc). Granted they have more sunlight exposure not having stadiums surrounding them but all the same…

No feedback ? Given Earl’s predilection for slagging off Bru I’m not surprised

He always seems a very odd chap, spends a lot of time ‘gurning’, can’t think I have ever heard him speak.

Pretty clear from the above that Ironking was not referring to Jerry, awaywego.

Just an afterthought: why doesn’t Jerry just register on Bru so he doesn’t have to ask a third party to relay messages on his behalf? Reasonable question I think.

Transparency and accountability is needed. Jerry taking supporters questions isn’t really cutting it.

Will this new entity be applying for registration with the Charity Commission so they are accountable to an independent regulatory body? That would be a wise move to reassure donors about their stated aims and objectives, how raised funds will be spent, and public knowledge about positions / appointments, voting rights, etc. Pretty standard stuff which will help everybody and circumvent the sort of questions and suspicions that have been aired recently.

What was the attendance? Expect it to be around 3,200 as according to some, gates were set to pummel like a stone.

Bloody demands and grandstanding. In perspective, I’m grateful we have this online space to chat, mostly amicably, about all things Iron. These opportunities to denigrate the Trust and Bru are unnecessary and unwarranted. Get a grip and have some humility. Not much to ask is it. No need to name them. Bloody infuriating IMO. All this over one Twitter post and questions rightfully asked about fundraising.

Too many ego’s and not enough limelight.

Indeed. Didn’t see your comment before I
posted. Fact of the matter is Matt Ellis called him a grifter online, which was out of order IMO, but he apologised to him personally and deleted the post. That should be the end of the matter but this guy seems to be dragging it out to curry more favour and attention.
