Please don’t come back with anything ridiculous like ‘Cox being assistant manager at Wimbledon once equals nepotism’.

And this has ‘what’ to do with nepotism and Wimbledon being interested in Neil Cox? Carry on digging, it’s quite fun.

Btw, common parlance is ‘we’re renowned for it’ or ‘we’re well known for it’ not ‘we’re well renowned for it’. Your picnic’s definitely missing a few sarnies.

Awaywego, perhaps if you explain how ‘nepotism’, ‘inbreeding’ and ‘we’re well renowned for it’ relates to Wimbledon being interested in Neil Cox, who apparently used to be assistant manager there at one time, viewers might have a fighting chance of understanding what on earth you are prattling on about.

Nothing wrong with debating this IMO but there is absolutely no justification for leaving conspiracy theorist posts advocating ‘scamdemic’ and ’13’ deaths on this site.

Nothing despicable about it. Your conspiracy theory posts should be removed for spreading lies that could influence others to act in ways that hamper the national effort to tackle a global pandemic and save lives. They are also extremely disrespectful to everyone in essential services who are going the extra miles to help and to everyone who has lost relatives and friends to Covid. No one cares about your childish ‘Forum 6’ nonsense. You’ve sunk to a very low, low.

Given that social media are (Twitter particularly) are clamping down on conspiracy theories related to Covid-19 in an effort to reduce the spread of disinformation so that one day in the future we might be able to live our lives a little like we used to again, don’t the moderators of this site have a moral and perhaps legal duty to delete and warn posters who publish posts about a ‘scamdemic’ that has only caused ’13’ deaths?

Not holding my breath that any improvements have been made. I’d be pleasantly surprised if they had.

‘All of the following absolutely needed to be sacked according to plenty of folk on here:

    Wilcox
    Hurst
    McCall
    Daws
    Alexander’

Good point Ferrite. Amazing how some posters on here come out with self congratulatory garbage like ‘it’s Bru wot done it!’ and try and take credit when things go right whilst happy to forget about past indiscretions.

    Not being listened to?
You mean like when I warned YEARS AGO that Swann was going to do this club a disservice? That the new stadium was madness and pie in the sky? That he was a property developer not a football club chairman? And that his alleged meddling would cost us dear?

Not seen (m)any apologies from the mockers and abusers either.

And there’s STILL folk support him. How daft can you get?

When I said this, when I said that. Listen, you weren’t the only one banging that drum so stop trying to make out you were some sort of prophet or visionary. I think someone said a long time ago you were enjoying all this demise. Starting to believe them. Just stating the bleeding obvious over and over again.

No Alcy. We all know the problems brought about by the club’s owner. We both know what really upset you. Not being listened to. Like a personal vendetta against the man.

Yeah, bloody lefty liberal footballers today Alcy! If only they were good ole racists and bigots. That would make all the difference.

Why are you determined to demonstrate you have the mental age of a 12 year old awaywego with your playground insults? It’s not a competition, I’m just trying to explain it to you.

Making any venue, particularly a large one like a football stadium, Covid secure costs a hell of a lot more than it did pre-Covid. It’s a combination of additional elements including protocol creation, hellish RA’s, additional stewarding, additional hardware, etc. This added to the fact most lower league clubs were either just breaking even or, like us,running at a loss pre-Covid.

I know all this is difficult for you to understand but I think I’ll trust what the CUFC Chief Exec says over your hunches about a bit of extra hand sanitizer.

It’s meeting all the health and safety regs and having Covid protocols in place and making sure they are adhered to and reporting back. The risk assessments and method statements alone are extremely resource intensive. All that stuff going on behind the scenes that you don’t see, on top of opening the stadium and running an event, which costs a fortune even without Covid.

I would think Swanny, despite wanting to see fans return to the Sinking Sands, is comfortable with not opening up with all the extra costs necessary to meet health and safety regs. The club’s losing enough money as it is without making it worse.

Lol! Yeah, bit of hand sanitizer should satisfy all the Covid protocols awaywego. I can see you’ve done a rigorous event walk through there.

I can believe it would cost a lot more and that they’re running at a far bigger loss with 2k Ferrite. There’ll be loads of additional costs associated with making it a Covid secure venue. Any venue, football or non football will tell you that.

The bottom line is if the manager and players think it’s a big issue they can easily revert to white. If they don’t think it is they won’t.

The thing about 06/07 was there weren’t that many empty seats for most the season. I always thought Lawsy’s argument about shirts clashing with seat colour was a bit feeble but I think there’s a little truth in it. However, it shouldn’t be used as an excuse to defend other issues, of which there are many.

‘I don’t really buy into this whole “racist society” angle the news seems to favour.’

It’s not just the news though is it. It’s black footballers and black workers in many sectors that are justifiably calling out systemic racism. It’s much more than a few bad apples.

Only rode a horse once, in Ireland. Feckin thing rode me. All going well trotting and it came to a fence, started galloping at it and catapulted me in to a hedge. I’m sure a few posters will like that image.
