‘On the other hand they should be well rested and fresh.’

Getting the excuses in early. Like it.

I’m glad you brought up the low attendance. Wonder how much of it was down to recent performances or a cold Jan evening, day after Blue Monday and three games in quick succession? Had a look around some other attendances in lower and non league from last night and a fair number were substantially lower than usual. My local non league club average around 800. Just over 200 last night, lowest gate for 2 years with no apparent reason for it being so low (i.e. performing well, in play offs spot etc).

Good question. I don’t think it’s disrespectful to leave a match a bit earlier or on the whistle personally. May be premature and foolish to leave earlier. It’s all about context for me. Supporters have always done this haven’t they? Sometimes leave a concert before try the end but only if absolutely necessary to get last train or bus and wouldn’t leave a theatre performance like that. A match is different, though I rarely rush out on the whistle.

You’ll be saying Calum Roberts bears a strong resemblance to Matt Roberts next, Rene.

Sorry to hear this. My last run in cost me money. Not happy.

They won’t even take my money. Maybe they know something I don’t.

Were you purchasing a weekly pass Cass? Don’t get why I can’t get past the payment bit. It acknowledges the card details are legit. Maybe I’ll try it a day or two before Needham Market

‘Some of our passing sublime, some reminded me of Sheffield Park in the 60’s.’

You saw Awaywego in his footballing prime?

Jeez what a topsy turvy league this really is.

Well done the Iron and a follow up the next two games would be great.
Hope you have a good feeling about next two games Deerey ;)

    Don’t hold your breath. But where there’s a will…

It was good to hear Torps saying in the first half that Butler and Schof were imploring the players to increase the tempo and stop the pedestrian play

Then maybe not the idea of the subs at fault but the way some of those subs executed their roles?

Not the impression I got from the commentary. Brought Beck on and he scored and I thought the last two were to break up Brackley’s momentum and see the game out?

Delighted for Beck, as I’m sure everyone is. Hopefully he pushes on from here with some confidence.

Crikey. That was a nerve wracking end. Job done though and sounded like a good performance from the commentary bar some defensive errors?

Tbf, his minutes are very limited lately. I’m sure some wit has something to say about that.

Saw this from Fred Benson on the Facebook group and concur:

‘Confidence is clearly at a low for our strikers, but we need to support them and it will get better! One goal, they just need one goal to get going’.

In an ideal world Cass, yes. But there’s more to it than that and after all, we are entitled to ask questions and offer opinions regardless of existing affiliations. I genuinely hope they raise funds for the club, with clear aims and objectives, and transparency. Not going to say much more about it from hereonin tbh.

Yeah probably too soon we will be settling for a play off spot.
Just not good enough are we.

YEP just way too inconsistent to get auto promotion .. its only a matter of time until that though has gone and fans are settling for a play off spot.

That’s the thing though. Every team in this league is inconsistent. Curzon were supposed to be running away with it a few backs. No more.

We’ll beg to differ on this one I think. I appreciate your points but don’t necessarily agree the Trust are acting that way.

Not arguing as such, just offering my opinion. Genuinely don’t see any pithy jibe in that Trust publicity post.
