Not sure what he’s basing that on? Don’t see what more we could have done?

We got the pitch into a perfectly playable state and then the snow started again heavily. Is that “poor pitch management”?

Makes more sense to call it off now than in another 20 mins when someone might have a lead.

Looked playable at the start but way it keeps coming down looks unlikely to finish.

We could always try 3 at the back?

In reality this would be a great bit of business.

I thought we were quite lucky with Greens penalty incident early in the 2nd half.
My first reaction was penalty and I was amazed he didn’t give it with the other stuff he’d been giving.

2 dangerous free kicks right at the end neither of which I thought were fouls and nothing wrong with McAtee’s challenge for Eisa’s “goal” although that one was the lino.

Don’t recall the 2nd penalty incident?

It’s also nice that I’ve gone from “we are desperate to get McGahey back” to “how does he get back in the team?”

Hopefully the 3 at the back is over for good. Tougher games coming up but stick at 442 and try to win them. See what happens because we all know what will happen if we try and play for draws.

This was the first time we’ve seen a FB who has been too good for Green. I wondered if he was a bit ‘leggy’ after the last week coz his pace usually gets him away from defenders.

Welch-Hayes looks a really good player. I said the same after the game at GP he was excellent then as well.

Great result. Not a great performance but good enough.
Massive credit for 9 points in 6 days.

Awful pitch and as said by a few already worse ref.

Everyone put a shift in but Manny was excellent.

Really hope Karacan isn’t badly injured.

Can’t wait to add Kev into this side.

This guy and the expert whoever it is are good. Not a fan at all of the guy who took over for the last 20 mins of the first half.

What an awful pitch. Can you still be fined for failing to provide a playable surface? If so Colchester should be expecting one to come their way.

We have big squad so smart rotation is key.

We’ve got a big squad, we haven’t got a good squad. We’ve got a good team plus a few.
Beestin is the only one I’d want to see starting who didn’t on Tuesday. Brown if O’Malley is struggling but he’s just had a rest.
We’ve got 8 days off after tonight so weekend off and good recovery.
Loft is the only one who looked like he needs a rest but we have no one else who can do what he does.

Point would be a good result, 7 points in 6 days is excellent.

BUT! I really want to beat them after they robbed us at GP.

I think Spence has a lot of the same qualities. Gets in good positions and reads things well. Karacan obviously does it better and has played at a much higher level but it could be really good for Spence.

Even if we don’t manage to keep Karacan (and I think he’ll be playing at a higher level next season unfortunately) we could benefit from what Spence hopefully learns from him.

Taft is very good and now we’ve got 3 quality cbs plus Bedeau if needed we can be a lot more confident.

Howard starting to show his quality wether it’s fitness or confidence in himself or the defence who knows.

Karacan is going to make a real difference. Already looks far too good for league 2 think we are very lucky to have him. We’ve neede experience in Cm all season but to get someone with such high level experience is massive. Always talking and instructing which we have sorely missed.

Loft looking like the player some people could always see with a partner. If him and Kev click and can stay fit we could be very dangerous.

Not sure what we will be able to Friday though Loft looked almost dead by the time he went off. He wasn’t his usual self right from the start but he had the energy when he needed it.

Spence in for Beestin, so we are playing 2 defensive midfielders. How many times has that worked for us this season. Baffling decision that one unless beestin is struggling.

Yeah tough one. I get it with us playing again Friday but I wouldn’t have done it after how well Beestin played Saturday unless he was struggling.
Spence can get forward more if given the license to do so but not as effectively as Beestin.

Just got to trust that the medical boys know best. Last thing we want is to lose Beestin for 8 weeks.

If that’s the case then Loft may well rough him up a bit, I hope he does and Cordner has a nightmare against us.

What is it about Loft’s inability to win a header or hold the ball up that makes you think he’d rough anyone up, let alone Corner?

He’s not good in the air for his size but he’s certainly rough enough. He’s strong and he puts himself about.
I think the hold up criticism is a bit unfair. He rarely loses the ball to 1 defender. When he’s trying to hold off 2 or 3 because none of our players are anywhere near to be a target for a pass or draw a defender then there isn’t a lot he can be expected to do.

Hallam for me if Eisa doesn’t make it. Not seen anything from McAtee since Walsall to convince me he’s any more interested than he was.

Beags had 200 odd prem games and 200 odd championship games behind him and was stepping down 3 divisions.

Chris Porter had 2 average seasons in the championship 10 years ago.

It’s not really a good comparison.

Loft isn’t the only player in the opposition half and we score goals? Funny how that works.

Don’t agree that watching online makes you less of a supporter. Especially when it’s either that or don’t watch at all? That makes no sense.

Before all this shit I would attend home games and watch away on online. That way I got to watch all the games. Meaning I’m ruining football for those who chose to only attend the home games or those who chose to listen on the radio? I don’t have the time or the inclination to travel all over the country.

The issue now is as others have said. When we used to lose then Saturday night was spent annoyed/angry.

Now? I expect us to lose and find it hard to care since no one at the club appears to, so why should I?

I said before the shit we’ve been served for the last several years has destroyed my love of football outside of Scunthorpe. And it’s slowly killing that as well.

What am I supposed to be supporting?

I’d say even if we manage to scrape staying up and assuming everything is back to normal for the start of next season we will struggle to get 2000 for the majority of games next year.

That’s the only question he needs asking.
