That goes without saying, still have nightmares about Dagenham, probably the lowest feeling I have had after scunny match, made it a long journey home. If only we had that German ref for the Ukraine match hey Mick.

That was the match that changed it all in my opinion.

He lost his bottle after that and it became more about protecting his record than winning the league which we should have done comfortably.

We’ve got 18 who have played a professional game if I can count so assuming the 23 is correct then we can only have 5.

    Keeper is the absolute priority.

If we then sign Bunn and one other winger/striker and loan a lb and another winger/striker that might be the lot.

I’d expect all of the attackers to be wingers/strikers. Or maybe a left sided player who can do LB and LW?

I think var had been great in this tournament it’s being used exactly how we should be using it.

If the ref hadn’t given a pen it wouldn’t have overruled either to give one. It has to be a clear and obvious error to change the decision.

This is exactly what people mean when they say fan engagement. Tell us what’s going on rather than letting everyone speculate. If we’ve taken the efl loan and are only allowed to sign free transfers then fine. Nobody was expecting big transfer fees anyway.

But instead it’s silence and come sit and tell us your ideas for a better “match day experience” so we can ignore them.

No not a pen for me but fairly sure we would’ve broken through in the 2nd half of extra time. Especially with them being down to 10 cos the big number 3 went off injured.

Denmark tried to play out a match our way and once again it didn’t work.

Assume it’s monetary loan rather than player loan?

Yeah might’ve been interested if there was any chance they wouldn’t ignore everything that was said.

If there was any hint that they had listened to anything the fans had said over the last few years then it may have been worthwhile.

First suggestion – give us our ground back.

I’ve only been around for 25 years which is significantly less than alot of you. I don’t remember the dark days of the 70’s that often get refered to but I’ve sat through some shit before. Some bad seasons, bad managers and bad squads.

This is different. I don’t see any way out or a glimmer of hope.

I don’t feel like the club I loved and grew up supporting exists anymore. It feels like someone has killed my wife and is now walking around my house in her clothes begging me to care about them.

Odds that GK will share a surname with one of the backroom staff?

Josh? I’d have been happy with that last year not so sure now. Didn’t get a game for Barrow last year. He’d be a backup signing meaning we’d start with Watson again meaning we’d be buggered again.

Wiki not a good source for lower non league it relies on someone being bothered to update it.

Looks like 12 games 3 goals in the league for York last year which isn’t great over a full season but the NL north/south didn’t finish did they? Not sure how many games there were.

Disappointing that he was willing to stay in league 2 but we couldn’t manage to keep him.

He is the only one who is 100% better than league 2 and can stay fit.

    We must be offering peanuts.

Is that not worse? Charging your local press for access to the club so they can report to fans!

McGahey is good enough for league 1 if he can stay fit. I’m surprised he’s stayed in league 2.

Clarke might just still be a decent league 2 centre back. He’s finished as a right back.

Rory Watson will be number 1 I am afraid.

Surely however low the budget that can’t be allowed to happen again.

I think it’ll be the end of me watching games if he is the number 1. Not sure I’ll be able to force myself to carry on through any more of that.

50/50 on this. Think we should be aiming for better but if the alternative is Watson then I’d have Sam back in an instant.

    Hope there is another plan.

Interesting to know how they train since apparently he’s had no close contacts in the squad. Nobody has had a close conversation with him or been within 2M of him for more than 15 minutes since Friday. I mustve dreamed that picture of Steve Clarke with his hands on his shoulders and their faces a few inches apart.

I’m glad we are doing the right thing but Scotland are fooling no one surely with the no close contacts bollocks.

Desperation to qualify at the expense of everyone else, they should be ashamed.

Before the tournament the questions were about Alexander Arnold’s form and Southgate left him out. Not sure what questions Southgate was asking because the stats from the last 2 years provide all the answers for him.

    AA, 74 games, 6 goals, 20 assists
    James, 56 games, 1 goal, 4 assists.

Not a big fan of Southgate at all but to be fair he picked Trent who then withdrew injured.

Sounds like a Bish which is exactly what we’ve needed since he left. It’s been painfully obvious. Good start and hopefully the first of many.

Are we certain that there is any cash at all?
I thought that going to Celtic was classed as going abroad.

I thought the same. As far as I’m aware if kids go to Scotland you get nothing but that might be outdated now.

Never mind Cox’s stamp, looking at that forward line I’d rather have Darryn Stamp (Even now!)

    Obviously

Hallam must be pay as you play. He’s managed about 5 games a season while he’s been here. He is a good player but that doesn’t mean anything sometimes.

McAtee is strange. Can’t see him signing certainly doesn’t play like he wants to be here.

Offered a contract so we’ll get a fee possibly? Is he of the right age for that to apply?

Good job the season doesn’t start for 3 months then isn’t it!

2 weeks to get sorted though.

Remember daddy said he wants the squad complete by the end of May.
