It’s like watching 11 kids who’ve never met before trying to play against proper footballers.

First pen soft maybe? Second stupid.

Hippolyte having possibly the worst half of football I’ve ever seen in a scunny shirt.

Don’t think the person to touch the ball after him was one of ours on a single occasion.

    Shit. Again.

I’d say Gillead and Hippolyte wing backs with McAtee behind the front 2.

    I don’t hate it.

    We’ll see how it goes.

Should be able to afford a keeper and a Cm and still save some money. Hopefully we’ll see at least one of the 2 in but i’ll not expect much.

Yes we have Wilcox onboard but wonder if his ex boss might be available, even part time??

That would be the final nail in the coffin.

Oh to have someone like Bish back.

I was never that keen at first. Didn’t look like he did much and I wasn’t sure what he offered.

Then you started to notice when he played we won and when he didn’t we lost.

It’s vital we get some experience in there to stop us falling apart.

don’t you think Les that clubs are targeting our right back area because they know it is a weak area in our defence, but to be fair to George he isn’t a right back.

    That’s exactly what is happening.
They put 2 men on him and overload him as they know he is the weak link.
Not his fault he’s a kid being played out of position but it needs sorting.

I’ll put as much effort into to my scores as they did on the pitch this week.

    Gillead – 5
    Others – 3

FG are best team we’ve played this year by a mile but that is saying very little.
Only one with a chance of a top 10 finish.

We are an absolute shambles and we’re going nowhere.

With everyone fit we have a squad of players easily good enough to get out of this league if they can be arsed apart from a reliable keeper.
All we need is some competent leadership.

FG were good but we let them be good by standing off, being weak and passive. First 10 mins we pressured and they made mistakes they really looked like we might be able to make them fall apart. Then we conceded and gave up.

Not going to hold out much hope as he’s learned nothing so far but I hope Cox watched this and realised what can happen when you play a striker who’s bigger and stronger than the cb’s he’s up against and you actually bother to put some crosses into the box.

    This really is so poor.

    Clueless, impotent and disinterested.

    No tactics and no motivation.

Nobody moves off the ball except Gillead, nobody makes any effort to get forward.

Out played and out fought. One team wants to win and the other isn’t bothered.

Not sure what Jarvis is showing in training to get a start?

Worst player on the pitch v Man City’s children in an awful team performance.

    Predicting 5-4-1 unfortunately

    Watson

    Hornshaw
    Onarise
    Cordner
    Bedeau
    Vincent

    Gillead
    Spence
    Taylor
    Hippolyte

    Loft

Set up to worry about them and 0 lessons learned from previous weeks.

Another toothless defeat but I’ll pay my tenner and hope to be surprised.

Agreed I like Beestin but I can’t fit him in at the minute.

    Watson

    Rowe
    Cordner
    Onarise
    O’Malley

    Gillead
    Spence
    Taylor
    Eisa

    McAtee
    Loft

Is comfortably the best we can do at the minute in my opinion.

Taylor did do very well first half but I don’t think that moving him back is a mistake it’s what he was hopefully signed for. We’re good at no 10 with McAtee (when picked) and Hallam we need a creative player deeper in CM playing alongside Spence and Taylor is perfect for that.
The issue was who replaced him and the fact that we never put a single cross into the box despite having 2 6’2”+ strikers and one of their cbs being under 6”

He’s created a huge problem for himself by talking shit when he came.

If he hadn’t promised 442 and attacking football he’d have a bit more leeway with his awful boring formations.

Don’t promise you’re going to do something then do the opposite it’s a good way to lose support really quickly.

The problems are the same every week and obvious. Either he doesn’t see them or he won’t act? Either way a big concern.

    That was misplaced optimism.

Better side, no goal threat whatsoever again.

Giving it a miss today, no right back, no Colclough, McAtee, Hallam in squad, Eisa on bench so boring Wilcox style boring sit back tactics I expect so can’t warrant £10 today, getting disillusioned with Neil after being promised exciting attacking 4 4 2 football.

Sticking with it but it’s disappointing again.

    Shambles.

Cox needs to sort this out quickly.

    1. Pick players who give a shit
    2. Play them in a proper formation
    3. Play them in their actual positions

That was embarrassing to watch for the 68 minutes I lasted.

    Jarvis and Colclough particular lowlights.

At least you got a shoutout on the radio Mick.

Of course the lockdown had a big effect, but then people went out,Is it the footballers you calling idiots?

Some of them are certainly idiots but in no bigger % than the general population probably.

It’s not their fault what is happening and I’m certainly not laying the blame at their door.

You’ll have to forgive my confusion about what effect you think the lockdown has had though. You’re about as clear as Boris.

Watson -9- best performance I’ve seen him have. 2 good saves and one great save. Only one dodgy moment which dropped it from a 10 but more of this please.

Hornshaw -5- he isn’t a full back but he’s young and learning and he’s not being preferred over a proper FB we don’t have another option atm. He’s doing his best.

Cordner -7.5-quality again. Dominant but looked to be struggling at the end hopefully not hurt.

Bedeau -6.5- defended well enough but sloppy again a couple of times including a slip which could have been very costly.

O’Malley -7- looks a real decent prospect. Defends well and bravely and not afraid to get forward.

Spence -7.5- oh how we’ve missed a player like this. Just gets in the way and doesn’t let people play.

    Vincent -6- decent but unspectacular.

Gillead -8.5- see what happens when you play him in his position Mr Cox. Lesson learned hopefully. Superb pass for the goal.

Hippolyte -5.5- works hard and certainly defends better than Eisa which is presumably why he’s being preferred atm. Not a good performance but mostly decent set piece delivery.

Hallam -8- great to see him back looked like he might link up well with Loft. Actually looked to move past him. Should have finished the game off when Beestin put him through

Loft -7- 6 in the first half 8 in the second. Couple of poor final decisions/balls which is apparently what Lillis is working on so hopefully will improve. Up against 2 big strong cbs on his own and they will certainly know they’ve been in a game.

Onarise -7.5- looks good. Powerful and won everything thrown his way which was a lot more than we should have allowed.

Beestin -6- not sure why he went behind Spence but put himself about and sent a very good ball in for Hallam.

Thought the ref was ok, picky but nothing really incorrect but Beestin unlucky to get booked.

Tactics wise 442/4411 was nice to see first half but quickly reverted to 3 at the back and sitting deep in the 2nd half. Needs to change.

I see you’re on SUFC Twitter today DSGM, pretty rare footage that I reckon.:-)

Living up to his name! 2 goals from inside the 6 yard box.
Much more common to see him missing from that distance.
Remember him missing from less than a yard out once.

It’s up to whether the players want to remain anonymous I believe.

So 3 games off for a youth team player?

We lost arguably our best player for 2 games, played on & got 1 point.

    Doesn’t seem right.

But if we carry on as we are season will be off before Christmas anyway.
