It almost seems like wilful incompetence on Cox’s part now.

If that is what he is telling them to do then he is a moron and nothing can be done to change that.

If they are delivering that shit when that is not what they are being instructed to do then stop picking the same ones every week and chuck in the few who do listen with the under 18’s who seem to have a bit of spirit.

We’ll probably still go down but that seems inevitable at this point and at least the kids might put up a fight.

This is awful. Absolutely no attempt to support Loft. Just lump it forward somewhere near him and hope he can fight off all 4 defenders and do something?

    Pathetic.

The court will note that my learned friend is only considering Mr Ameobi’s goals in English football and NOT his career as a whole.
If the full facts are taken into account then an entirely different picture presents itself.
According to my independently verified expert testimony (Wikipedia) Mr Miller has a record of 121 games with 23 goals, a goals to games ratio of 0.19.
On the other hand Mr Ameobi has a record of 248 games with 57 goals. A quite frankly prolific gtg ratio of 0.22.

Add on the fact that Mr Ameobi went on to play for such giants of European football as Knattspyrnudeild Vestra, Ungmennafélag Grindavíkur & Vaasan Palloseura. Clubs at a level Mr Miller could only dream of representing.

It should also be noted that Mr Ameobi is the all time leading appearance maker and second all time leading scorer at the highly reputable FC Edmonton of the prestigious Canadian Premier League.

The final point submitted to the court is the weight of expectation placed onto Mr Ameobi by the fans due to his second name. Mr Ameobi is the younger brother of arguably the Premier Leagues greatest ever goal scorer and as such was expected to perform at a level much higher than that which was delivered. As such I argue that if it was not for the weight of his name he would be remembered simply as piss poor along with the likes of James Alabi, Matt Bailey and George Thomas and would not in fact considered one of the “worst of all time”.

Special shoutout to George Miller for taking Tomi Ameobi’s record as the worst striker ever to play for us.

Please cease and desist from making any further such claims that call into question Mr Ameobi’s status as The Worst Striker Ever to Play for Us. Mr Ameobi’s record in this respect is unquestioned, at no time has he given any indication that he was not The Worst Striker Ever to Play for Us. Should you repeat your claim, I will have no option but to take further steps to protect Mr Ameobi’s reputation.

I will glady defend Mr Miller’s right to be called such in any court of law.

I have 15 games worth of evidence proving his inability to perform even basic tasks expected of a 10 year old footballer.

Futhermore I will prove that the “goal” he “scored” for the club was not touched by him and should infact have been credited to Mr McAtee.

They have to be better than what you could get otherwise or already have and mostly haven’t been for us.

Last few years only Yates and Gabriel offered improvments that I can remember.

Special shoutout to George Miller for taking Tomi Ameobi’s record as the worst striker ever to play for us.

I don’t think sacking Cox is the answer. Certainly not yet, but things have to improve.

He looks like he’s resigned himself to the fact we can’t score goals without Kev so he’s setting up for 0-0 draws until he’s back.

The way we are playing at the minute seems very Russ I don’t know how much input he’s having but Cox would do well not to pay too much attention.

If Cox is thinking Russ got us out of this league last time so he must know what to do then someone needs to get him the tapes of us collapsing and limping over the line.

Maybe the current “situation” of not being able to go has made it worse but honestly it started before that for me.

For at least a year before we were not allowed to attend I was forcing myself to go.

The garbage we have constantly been served up for years now has ruined my enjoyment of the game.

I can’t remember the last time I watched a non scunny game. Haven’t even bothered to watch match of the day for about 3 years. The thought of any additional football on top of the 90-180 minutes a week I am forced to endure is not appealing.

Either the players are doing what he tell’s them and he has no clue what he should be telling them to do or they just aren’t listening to him and are doing what they want.

I don’t know which is worse??

Struggle to blame Loft too much since there is rarely anyone within 20 yards of him.

The ball comes back too easily and too often but he’s usually fighting against 3 defenders as they have no one else to worry about.

Two games up next against Barrow and Grimsby.

Cox on thin ice if we don’t get 6 points.

    We won’t get 1

    I’d be happyish with that.

Would prefer 4411 as we have been doing with Green in instead of Spence/Beestin (maybe Beestin’s turn for a rest) then Green or Gillead playing off Loft.

We might have to take a risk with sending Cordner back (assuming we even can) don’t think we’ll be able to wait till McGahey and Onarise are fully fit as I believe loans can only be terminated during the transfer window now.

Same with the short term loan suggestion Cass. I don’t think they exist anymore. Fairly sure according to fifa rules all loans must start and end during a transfer window so it’d have to be a loan till the end of the season.

Bedeau reminds me a bit of Canavan.

Better on the ball and less physically gifted but like Niall he can be brilliant and then just seemingly stops paying attention for a moment.

I’d argue Rowe was a competent footballer and Cordner isn’t.

Clarke has played Centre Back plenty of times so Rowe can slot in at RB.

Highly unlikely there will be any transfer activity now given the latest lockdown measures though

Amateur sport is cancelled so I doubt we will be able to carry on. Don’t think we could convince anyone we are elite sport.

I thought Gillead was poor playing centrally at the start of the season and thought Ferrite was mad to suggest moving him back there but maybe there is something in it.

Maybe he was poor at the start becasue we were so shit as a whole.

With Green on the right it could work thought both did well last night.

I’ll be very disappointed if we see McAtee in a scunny shirt again.

We all know you don’t want to be here but at least have the decency to try and hide it.

We’ve got Trevor Kettle though. Maybe for once his utter incompetence will work in our favour?

Couple of dodgy penalties and a couple of disallowed Walsall goals and we might scrape a draw.

Simeon Jackson might be a decent move. Not spectacular but an improvement on what we’ve got. Loft will benefit from a proper partner he needs someone to move beyond him so he’s not always having to work the ball backwards.

Absolutely agree with Les and I said it before. There should definitely be a player in there.

Size, pace, bravery and work rate can’t be taught and he has them all.

His touch is awful but with training that can be improved.

He’s often in the wrong place but with proper coaching that can be improved.

Have we got the right people to teach him and does he have the desire to learn? Those are the questions that need answering.

He didn’t literally say those words no but the meaning was pretty obvious. Listen to it if you like that’s better than me trying to explain it but it certainly didn’t sound like angling for a better deal.

He said he wasn’t looking to leave in Jan as he didn’t want to be perceived a disloyal and wanted to “help the team till the end of the season”

He very much sounded like he didn’t want to be here any longer than he had to be.

If Eisa signs the new deal that’s been offered and somebody comes in a with a decent fee, I’d be tempted to take it if we have some one good enough already lined up.

According to Eisa no contract has been offered to him. He was asked on humberside pre game yesterday.

Mike White then asked him if he was interested in staying after the end of the season and he may as well have flat out said “No I’ll be on my way”

A proper advert for league 2 football that was.

Hoofed from one end to the other.
