If I had to describe our team today it would be a team that still believes it’s not the winning but the “ taking part” that matters, as they were told in the under nines.

I think Mr Hill is more astute than we imagine, taking off Loft and replacing him with the young chap he did was surely a tongue-in-cheek dig at the person who supply’s the tools he’s working with.

Giving poor tools to an incompetent gives you 19% possession and a hammering every week, passing those poor tools to someone who’s competent gives you 60 % possession and still a loss from time to time. Blame the clowns who supply the tools !!

Would I be wrong in saying that there are parallels between us this season and Grimsby at the end of last season ?. Didn’t their fortunes change towards the END of the season but too many draws put them where they are now ?
Obviously we have a bit more time, and more games left but we seriously need some wins and soon.
Ps let’s not get too dizzy thinking we might beat Oldham, they know how to score a goal.

One of the things that amazed me, their guy stays tight to the touch line, Thompson stands 20 yards infield of him. Their keeper was actually kicking the ball at Thompson to let their wide man have the run on Thompson and beat I’m in the air every time. After 90 minutes Thompson still hadn’t worked it out. If you keep doing what you’re doing, you keep getting what you’ve getting. As an old Geordie friend used to say, his brains are brand new man

Reading into Cox post match interviews I think the tail was wagging the dog, hence all the excuses for the sick lame and lazy.

Over the last 4 weeks I have sandwiched watching 2 games with 37,000 crowds and a trip to see Gerry Cinammon at a packed Sheffield arena. Give me something with a little pride and passion, something worth watching and I will return Peter.

I must admit they’re not very polite when you disturb them nicking thirty grands worth of much needed aluminium spares at 2 am, they tend to get very angry and aggressive very quickly but hey ho happy days.

I remember when Paul Hurst turned up with Chris Doig, people were saying they didn’t want Doig as he was a bully, funny how plenty of ex players would follow them back and play for them successfully this season.Whilst I don’t condone bullying we seem to need a firm hand at the rudder right now, somebody who is willing to be the boss when it is required.

I said after the Harrogate humbling he’d get another ten games. I stand by that, we are nowhere near far enough in the shit for the master plan yet.

The fa cup gods rarely shine on us lately. Admittedly two shite teams but it should whip up some interest. Question is .. can we grow a spine ?

No I wouldn’t Ferrite and I don’t blame him, just pointing out that the big wheel keeps on turning.

There are so many reasons not to be a football fan nowadays.

Talking with people I know one said we all ought to get down to the ground at 1pm Saturday, have a few pints , make a lot of noise, make our feelings well known, and then all bugger off home and do something useful with our time come ten to three.
At least that way nowt would invade or get thrown on the pitch, and nowt would upset the wilting flowers on it, come kick off !!!

Wouldn’t it be better if he lets say brought in some fresh blood just to run it as a hobby ? We had so much fun when the club was run as a hobby. We also used to score goals that weren’t penalties in the “ good old days “.

Even when the club was being run as a “hobby” we had one striker worth his salt.

I noticed even Kev was injured Saturday but then remembered he’d left. He was probably rushed back too quickly again. Rough old game this football.

By limiting the amount and quality of players the manager can have, maybe he does ?
