I was told to be patient whilst Nuttall got match fit, that ain’t gonna happen whilst he’s only getting 38 minutes, mind you I can see why he only gets 38 minutes after Saturday

    He’s a dirty tw**!

Tell he started off at Leeds!

Maybe if scunny players had a bit more spine that wouldn’t keep getting turned over so easily.

Was at pains to point out it was not him and the players that caused the problem.
You are certainly correct about that Keith.

Sorry MK, I can’t agree. I’m no fan of Swann and I admire Hill’s efforts but today was solely down to manager and players IMO. Decent first half but the difference in the two managers half time team talks must have been massive. At least half of our players clearly have no desire to continue in league football.

I think Rochdale thought first half that they only had to turn up to win, I think at half time their manager just reminded them they did actually have to turn up, suddenly it’s Brazil v San Marino

It was a mad dash afterwards Awaywego as a train full tried to get a minibus to Donny station. Absolute madness, at that point I should have taken the hint and gone back to bed, instead we flogged on and watched a poor defeat ( not scunny ).

The rail is about as good as our poor team at the moment, I’d be careful of touching it. Last Saturday away day I went on I sat on the train at scunny station for 40 minutes and then they announced “ this train will terminate at … Scunthorpe “, you couldn’t make it up.

On the plus side I can confirm the boys do know where the net is, I’ve just seen em score a goal in training, very voiceiferous this morning. Been down for my cheapy tickets for the next 2 games , glutton for punishment me.

What was it , 15 goals in 151 games between them, I think we only have 7 more to go before we see a goal out of them at one in ten.

It won’t be such a difficult decision to stay away then, well not as difficult as the last game and the one tonight anyway.

Look at the type of player we can afford now, whilst we aren’t paying rent on the ground yet, it doesn’t bare thinking about really.

You never asked about the ground RB, what about it, we’re getting it rent free at the moment.

    At the moment

Have a read what the Walsall fan is saying on a different thread, paying £450,000 rent to the last chairman and it’s crippling to be honest !!!

The fans noticed long before those in charge that throwing mountains of money at an impossible dream was always going to end in heartbreak. Trouble is when the fans started voicing that sensible opinion they had to be put in their place, and here we are …

When we sign professionals and they contribute absolutely nothing the smart arses among us point out it’s our fault, what do we expect ? After all we gave them the contracts. Shouldn’t we at least expect any professional footballers we sign to be able to compete for 90 minutes?. Should we be paying them for how many minutes they can compete for ?. Burn out me arse

What we did do is recruit 2 strikers, what we don’t know is if we have brought in any goal scorers, only time will tell and we probably ran out of time a month ago.

One shot on target in 97 minutes , mmm

People use to complain about the marketing pre Swann and they will complain about marketing post Swann.

Twitter has 69k followers, Insta 38k followers and Facbook 82k followers. I think it’s pretty safe to say unless you live under a rock people are aware of SUFC news through these outlets.

People like you ALWAYS find someone/something to moan about. It’s a fact of life.

Yes and I’m regularly visited by someone who has 500 friends on Facebook but has only ever had a real conversation with 2 of em

What an absolute treat to have some midfielders that can control and pass the ball. Feeney & Grant top drawer first half but, understandably, tired in the second, surprised they both played 90 mins. Hope the youngsters learn from them and b***** quickly. Where are the strikers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1-0 down and we play without one!!!

Maybe Keith is having to make a point again

Here’s an idea, if we need one out of the door sharpish how about the scout. Free up some much needed wages as it looks like Hill knows what he needs.

I distinctly remember a gorilla of a chap stood behind a chain link fence, telling the Scunny fans what I hiding they would be getting were the fence not there. I also remember he couldn’t run as fast as he could talk, after said fence had been removed.

I don’t believe you Les, everything was rosy until 2013.

I can’t make my mind up as to whether you are just thick or deliberately missing the point over and over to just wind people up.

Nobody said everything was rosy until 2013. The fans knew we were not a great side in those days, but what we did have was players that would run their knackers off for Scunthorpe United, I personally can accept my team getting beaten if I can see that they have given their best for the paying supporters. I don’t support Scunthorpe United because I think we will be challenging for silverware at the end of a season, I support them because they are my home town team, and because I used to feel part of something, and always had hope of the odd cup run or a push for promotion every now and then. Right now there is no hope of anything other than another toothless preformance and 11 players rolling over for the opposition every week. Our previous Chairmen didn’t make promises that were impossible to achieve and recklessly spend money chasing glory while plunging the club into millions of debt! The club is a soulless pit with fans and owners poles apart whereas years gone by we were in it together, win, lose or draw. OSG was a shit hole but it was our shit hole, now there is nothing, no togetherness, no connection between club & supporters, no matchday experience, no hope & nothing to look forward to……thank you Mr Swann.

Football fans going to an away game in a furniture removal van, oh for the good old days, I remember them well.

Should relegation happen this season it will be for two reasons.

    1/ The EGO

    2/ The jealousy

    Spite ?

I’m available at reduced costs, I still run 10 miles in 90 minutes on a Sunday and an old ( but good ) left foot beats a right foot any day. Oh and I did once put the ball in the net at Glanford park !

Bloody hell, it would take me 90 mins to do one mile, even I must be past it regarding footy, I remember my last game before calling it a day, I was in goal playing Ashby Ins’t at the Screeds, we lost 0-9 and I think that I had a faily good game!!

Jesus h Christ it’s a long time since the screeds was built over but I do remember the pitch there

As I said many times Cox should have been sacked last January, it is his and Swanns fault we are were we are, and I still think that being out of league football and bankrupcy like Bury was the reason Cox was kept on, that is my opinion, simply because I cannot see any possible reason for keeping him on, he was clueless.

Anybody worth their salt, who owns and runs a club like ours must have somebody on the inside telling them what was going on. The tail was wagging the dog from the start of the season under Cox and nowt was being done about it, you have to ask why.

No Northumbiron it was in a charity match back in the day, that tough old geordie scout booted me into the hoardings on the third attempt at skinning him. I still have the ball I scored with in my garage, I couldn’t let that go at the auction.

    Don’t worry lads.
We’ve got Keith Hill and it’s January.
    We’re saved.
Hill will be able to choose from one of the new signings Swanny has funded …what?
    He hasn’t?
Oh well, non league it is then.

You keep quoting as if the business man doesn’t know what he’s doing but I think you’re well wide of the mark Alcazar, crowds dwindling to nowt, front gates padlocked shut and the press sitting up and taking note, then in comes Keith Hill. All of a sudden the focus is in a different place and all is rosy for the man at the top.
He’s 23 days to prove he cares about this football club, I wouldn’t hold your breath.

There was definitely a two handed push on the back to move our defender under the ball.
