Credit where due, I thought Whitehall’s goal was as good a header as I’ve seen in a long while.
Rylands number 9 made me smile when he scored in front of the DRE carried his celebration on all the way to the corner flag and booted it over he was so proud scoring against us.
Made me smile even more the reaction of scunny fans deriding him in his moment of glory some kept singing banker at him. well something like that.Funny what makes us all smile at different things.
I have no problem with other people having their moment of glory same as you however we do seem to be extending it to too many people just now.

A 20 goal a season striker, started this season very well and working his socks off for the team. Seemed to go backwards at Chester and the silliness has crept back in.
Maybe if we kept the strikers busy and fed them more the tricks and shenanigans would stop.
This is why I didn’t comment on players after yesterday, if he had left at the end of last season I wouldn’t have been bothered.
There is a striker in there but the pay is the same whichever version turns up on the day.
Ps Clunan looked like a young lad who’d lost his dad and wandered onto the pitch to find him.3 users thanked author for this post.
Were there boos at the final whistle or had everyone fallen asleep?
We left with ten minutes to go, it was obvious where the game was heading, better than showing frustration at the end.
The manager is driving a wedge between the fans and players with his ridiculous system.
We play, frightened of letting a goal in. Five at the back, two lost midfielders and three attackers who seem to be running in treacle.
It’s December tomorrow, busy, expensive and supposed to be a time to enjoy, who’s got the time, money or energy for anymore of that crap ?. I certainly haven’t.
So remember, you keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll keep getting what you’re getting.5 users thanked author for this post.
Remember trying to get back to the car park at Lincoln.
Think it where the fair ground used to be.Anyhow there was lots of scrapping.
I had driven that day so we parked down the back of Lincoln and got in early, the cops wound the Scunny fans up on purpose as I said. Later in the match the Iron fans in the away end were singing… Sincil bank is falling down falling down and things were thrown from the stand.
I distinctly remember 2 policemen running up the stand to one of the entrance tunnels and being met full face with a fire extinguisher that some madman let off. It was like the keystone cops .1 user thanked author for this post.
Stevenson got sent off at Lincoln, Gordon Hobson maybe the other player ? He slowed down into the tackle and made a right meal of it, Andy loved a tackle, he was bloody livid as I remember and it took a couple of players to persuade him off the pitch. If memory serves me right it was the game where the cops stopped the supporters coaches on the a15 on the way in and made them all late.
Many thanks for ridiculous child, made me laugh on a very frustrating day.
The only comparison between the two I would make is this
When we finally get up a head of steam and start playing some good passing football ( between minutes 50 and 70 )they both stop us in our tracks by making multiple substitutions, last night however I was pleasantly surprised at our efforts after that period.Didn’t bother today, it’s becoming obvious this season will end the same as last season with a few less goals conceded. We desperately need a goalscorer that’s interested.

Statement out, they’ve gone, the right decision.

One has to wonder if there’s a little… let’s put out a rumour and see what the reaction is, going on. It used to happen regularly on the steelworks
Next season I don’t think he will have a team as capable of carrying him so it’s going to be interesting if he’s still here.
So we’ve gone from a manager sacking club to sticking with what we’ve got. The long term cost may be considerable.
So they’ve won the quarters and semi’s without needing to score a goal. Do you think they will win the final the same way ?
If memory serves we played quite well against Boston first half but their manager sussed us out at half time and we played second fiddle all second half. I wouldn’t want us to face them in the playoffs
They had to stick with Dean once they took over from Hilton. It’s worked on and off, and we should have won this league, I don’t think sacking him when we first started slipping back would have been right and I understand why the board stuck with him, they don’t want to be another Swann sacking managers every 5 minutes. Yes a different manager 3 months ago could have done better, but if they didn’t then the club would be criticised for binning Dean.
Now as we limp into the playoffs (and I think mathematically we could still limp out of them !?) I think Dean needs to get promotion for his own sake or he will have being the manager that couldn’t do it with this squad on his managerial cv.Spot on, the wrong decision made for all the right reasons
Reading through all of these posts reminds me of an old saying.
Not only do they want to sh?t on us from a great height, they expect us to say thank you for the hat.
Unfortunately not, same as “ under the circumstances “ neither will bump us up the league.
We were sold a puppy
Again, how much experience of managing in this league did Tamworth’s manager have at the start of this season ?
Yeah but Tamworth haven’t played anyone in the top half of the table yet, anyone remember that one ?
Clueless performance on and off the field.
My fear from last season was always when confidence slipped, Dean wouldn’t be able to recover. The players were not playing for him today.
I’d snap your hand off for 2nd now
I kept getting told at the end of last season that Jimmy had a wealth of experience in the division he was taking us down into and not to worry.
How much experience of this division did Tamworth’s manager have before the first game of this season ?

Maybe Michelle and co have lost Jimmy, maybe they haven’t entered contract negotiations with him.
Hopefully…Everything about tonight’s game proves he’s not good enough
It’s a long time since we chased them out of the home end at the Feethams
A shame we may pass up such a great opportunity to bounce straight back.
Lack of squad depth and a transfer embargo hardly helps.
Well I can’t see it being any better next season, can you ?
The difference between home and away performances shows us where the problem lays. A shame we may pass up such a great opportunity to bounce straight back.
I think what it shows is that we are ill equipped to successfully sit back and defend a 1 goal lead.
Which is why taking away our attacking players on 70 minutes on a regular basis makes no sense2 users thanked author for this post.
I think you’re right, that late goal against Boston will turn out to be significant. I d be surprised if we see the top of the league again now. Second ? Well that’s just a lottery ticket
