Andy Crosby.
Is that a ITK(“in the know”), S.N.O.T?
Any Ironbru members got any names of his replacement ??? my memory keeps drifting back the Admiral Nelson but im sure there are numerous others out there who would consider the challenge.
John Askey who got York out of here and got Macclesfield into the league on a pittance was being mentioned last night.

Listened on Radio Lincs, they were ecstatic as you’d understand. Boston are a good model of a club who have come back from the brink, they have a shiny new stadium, a good manager and a growing fan base.
Everything we don’t.
I wouldn’t question our fan base
The idiots who bring smoke bombs, flares and throw pints around yes.
Hopefully they won’t be back.
Same old story on there last night, the 3 on there desperately trying to keep the last parts of their Hero(Hilton)’s legacy intact by throwing comments and insults.
“it could have been me!”
“i could have been a contender!”Thank you Patrick for your kind offer particularly after the abuse you received from 2 or 3 of the arseholes that inevitably turn up on every open forum.
The problem is Patrick,99% or more Scunthorpe fans are genuine guys,as you say.
Unfortunately the less than 1% are a substantial number on this site.
The majority of fans I speak to,and I ask,do you go on Iron Bru,they look at me with a blank stare, thankfully. We would be more likely to have unity if people like bpg didn’t slag off anyone who dares to think differently.
Some of us are concerned about what might happen to our club because of the ground issue. If that makes me an ingenuine guy and not a proper fan (because I am not just cheering on the owner and believing whatever he says, no matter how fishy), then so be it. I am not going to delude myself to please others.
This is how you find and post quotes lads, Next time you want to bring something up.
MK’s “Arseholes” quote and Siderite’s scepticism the highlights there.

Harsh Reality for some of our younger fans today, the biggest budget, the biggest squad, the biggest amount of bravado doesn’t guarantee you promotion.
I walk that distance every game.I see no issue
How impressive! Let’s forget about the actual topic and give you a standing ovation for your heroic athletic endeavors. Truly, the world revolves around you and your every step, How unusual for you to make the post about you.
It’s a sad indictment that you feel walking worthy of a medal ,how unusual for you to still bear grudges , my comment was on topic ironically your’s wasn’t ,oddball
Nothing wrong with challening your inner Moody 64, the man can do no wrong.
Decent ground but not many facilties. nearest pub i found was an old fashioned one(took me back to my time at school it was so outdated)20 mins away. Football on basic beer.
Before that i got off the train in Bedworth, home of some of the shittiest pubs in the country no doubt.I will say for once well done James Moody and the club for selling tickets for the corner and not being silly buggers about it. Good sensible decision.
Pity Boston fans could buy tickets in there before they realised..
Got to give it to Rene – More Fish under his post than the Dock Tower.
Same, always walked to GP from the Town centre unless i got a lift. When i get to the top of the hill it’s a good excuse to go for a pint.
I’m an acquired taste.Snot, if you don’t like me, aquire some taste.
Once you take the head out your a***. Is the recruiter going to be the new manager or not.Something to say LK or did you forget?
I can’t think of all that many players who could have kept Crozzer out of the side.
Frank Burrows – definitely.
Keith Burkinshaw?Elliott and Hope far better as shown when they moved up the leagues.
It’s Andy Butler, even i could have figured that out.
… a poor chap who was literally unconscious on the floor, with blood everywhere, pretty much fighting for his life.
Sounds terrible. This has been mentioned all over the place, without anyone really saying what happened (other than he was hit by a ball). I’m guessing it hit him in the face / head and knocked him over, and he banged his head on the ground or on a barrier or something?
Did they come down on the coach, if so well supervised on there then.
Good comeback win, Spalding scored two good goals when our defending was a bit haphazard, Barrows run for Elliott’s hat trick goal excellent.
Anyway..
Jerry has just questioned someone on the Facebook group who said tickets wouldn’t be going on sale straight away, despite the club confirming it.To quote Nelson Muntz “Ha Ha!”
I realise I am swimming against the tide here but I never liked Paddy Madden and always thought he was massively over-rated, partly because pretty much everyone who has come since him has been even worse.
I still think it was a sign of what was to come when we signed him in January 2014 despite Winnall banging them in, Deon Burton being a regular, Paul Hayes signing on a free, and the team going really well. Felt like a signing for the sake of making a signing.
Dave Syers who came in with him was more important, we wouldn’t have gone up otherwise.

Thought i was clear enough on my last post of why im sceptical don’t forget the Scarborough game was under Hiltons tenure so it’s not just about an owner but more of the current regime were the same regime.
Exactly, we are expected to give Moody, Turnbull and Elliott a free pass after they spent so much time criticising the supporters, the sooner Michelle and Roj chuck them out the better.
Like mentioned further up, you’ll be able to buy on the day no doubt… clubs want the money in ASAP.
Not seen a reaction like it since subsidised Carveries were stopped.

Good idea.
Here’s an example of what could be done.
In November this year, we will welcome the fifth batch of inductees to the Motherwell FC Hall of Fame.In our 137-year history, there have been names who have forged their way into Motherwell FC history and we want to commemorate their efforts.
We will never forget those who have forged the path to where the club sits at present day. Some with us and some sadly not, we want to come together to celebrate the proud history we have at Motherwell Football Club.
This year, the event will take place at Dalziel Park Hotel on Friday 17 November, with host Tam Cowan inducting five new names.
If you would like to attend our night of celebration, tickets cost £66 for adults and £30 for children under the age of 12 are on sale now.
You can buy tickets for the dinner online or contact the commercial department on 01698 338011.
Please note than some of the colourful language on the night may not be appropriate for young children or those easily offended.

I thought it was embarassing, realising that GP couldn’t hold the numbers for a major event(what impression does that give?)and being suddenly moved to a car showroom.
I assumed that the venue was donated to allow the club to put on an important money-spinning event? The cost of hiring, for example, the Baths Hall, would have put a huge dent in the revenue the club made from the evening.
The Event was scheduled for GP, but moved to Marshalls Used cars, wherever that is, is it near Eddie Wright? Without some of the ticket holders knowing.
There’s a few pubs and clubs in the town, surely, with connections to the Club who could have donated a room to help out?
I’m not convinced whilst we have the last of the shysters in the club this was hijacked as a publicity stunt.

Was that neccesary as Apollo says or a bit of Vanity for someone?
In response to your question, i’d rather hear from Modern day players(Bish would be a good one), or some club legends.
How about getting the 1999 play off team back together? or Adkins’s title winners? that would be good.
Seen/heard good things about Hull Kr’s catering set up so looking forward to what he can bring.
If he’s one of the brains behind Craven Street, on to a winner.
Probably safe now with Sutton and Colchester losing, but only just!
April 6, 2024 at 12:34 pm in reply to: University research on the role of football in response to military conflict #283728Dear all,
Leading up to the Euro tournament in June this year, I am conducting some research looking at fans’ views towards the role of football in response to military conflict. For those interested in this topic, I have created a short survey that should not take up too much of your time: https://doit.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9zZmrJfShOSBDDw
Participation is completely voluntary, but I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this topic.
If you’re on X get in touch with @danstamp1
She always gets rude and aggressive when losing the argument, how marvelous when the child reveals it’s true nature.
Coming from the person who can’t do a post without “Bullshit” or any other insult.
We know your pride is more important than anything else.
We completely went about things the wrong way(putting aside the ownership for a minute)
Letting the manager run amok with the chequebook for a start.Does he know some good up and coming players from the likes of Spalding,Stamford etc? No,let’s sign Football league players and pay them what they want.
I’ve given up with National League tv. £9.50 a month would be acceptable but for every game it is rip off for what is provided. It was only about £13 for an actual ticket at Southport (I know there’s transport etc etc).
Stuck with radio jumbleside for away games and that commentator, Alex, hasn’t been too bad and seems to be able to actually pronounce players names reasonably. I enjoy hearing Torpeys various versions of Sembie-Ferris, he seems to have settled on Semble-Ferris for the last couple of games. Better when Ollie Turner does the post match interview, he asks some good questions and there’s some tension between him and Dean.Known as Simple Ferret in Peterborough!
Grimsby – 40 played, 40 pts
Sutton – 42 played, 39 pts
Colchester – 39 played, 38 pts
Forest Green – 41 played, 36 ptsAll very tight down there
Mick would be tearing his hair out if he had any left!
