Here’s an idea for Neil in case he’s reading Bru.
    Watson
    Rowe Onariase Cordner/Bedeau Vincent
    Gillead Taylor Spence Eisa
    McAtee ANOther
Can’t pick a partner for McAtee as several have shown flashes of talent but little consistency. I think it’s reasonable to allow the manager some input anyway.

….but Cass doesn’t that bring us back around to the same old point, Swann believes he is correct doing it his way, he thinks it will eventually come right doing it his way. It’s a bit like telling Trump not to wear make-up because it makes him look as big a twat as he sounds, these egotistical people just don’t get it because their way is the only way. It’s sad but true, we are shafted.

The difference is that, despite being as you describe, Trump’s ego and tactics won an election, our tactics (whoever is to blame) are winning b….. all!

I completely understand the frustration with current affairs and, in particular, with the chairman. However there is one thing that I don’t understand at all.
Money comes into the club via supporters attending matches (or via ifollow at the moment) so how can it be in the chairmans interest to lose supporters by playing dire football and taking the club out of the league?

He’d get in before Hornshaw at RB, that’s about it IMO.

I put away my optimists hat a few weeks ago, how have you managed to get hold of it?

I think that’s right BRI, there are areas in the team that can be improved from within the squad e.g Eisa for Hypolyte and some that can’t at present e.g. Hornshaw at RB. There’s no one thing that will solve our current issues but some (hopefully) beneficial moves can be made.

“Thing is the squad is awash with midfielders.”

As I said on another thread we seem to have gone for quantity over quality. How many of the MFs could we comfortably class as good enough and how many could we lose without noticing. Plenty to choose from but no CM partnership that I’m happy with at present. More wide players than we can possibly use but at least we have quality there.

Some aren’t helping each other MM and yes they do exploit this weakness – a Jim Goodwin would be a massive help to these lads.

    As manager do you mean?

    “stick Olomola upfront”
“We really do need Clarke, Mcgahey and Olomola back though before long.”
“Fingers crossed Olomola get’s his fitness up”
“I suppose if he played Olomola and Jarvis/Loft”
I’ve quoted what you’ve written, as I’ve said I’m trying to manage your expectations.

Look, I’m trying to manage your expectations here. A fit Olomola will not save our season, I wish it were that simple.

I agree with Mike and Tom – this was a very good FG side. We aren’t equipped to deal with such ability and organisation in Division 4.
I’m rather hoping that we take plenty of points off the other weaker sides.

Is it a coincidence that almost every team we play look like top 3 material. Where have you spotted these other weaker sides les. Crawley were probably the worst team we’ve played so far, are there any weaker than them? Hard to see where our next win (or point) is coming from.

FB is a certainly a problem les, Charlie Wilson has Spence at RB in his ST article. So how about:-
    Watson
    Onariase Cordner Bedeau
    Gillead Beestin Spence Eisa
    McAtee Loft Taylor

Gillead & Eisa as wingers not WBs BTW so everybody ‘in position’ and Loft gets support.

The full production run sold out in minutes WG, his other two fans bought one each and that was it.

    2. The club supported him through a serious, long-term injury.

As you would hope and expect any employer to do if one of their employees is hurt in their place of work.

How would you expect the employee to respond?

    Three things:-
    1. He didn’t learn last time
    2. The club supported him through a serious, long-term injury.
    3. He has done precious little to repay that support. Minimal interest when picked to play in the months before the incident (and since) and reportedly requested a transfer in January.
Has he earned further support – you decide.

Put out the Man.City “shirkers”, give them another chance to show they want to play for us and see if they’re capable of learning a lesson. If not, then at least Cox will have learned something.

So why try and hide it knowing it would surface eventually, surely better to come clean immediately. Any club investigation would have been concluded before football resumed, you would think, and then he’s only got the trial to worry about.

I think the fairest thing would be to give him the same level of support in adversity that he has shown the club.

    In L2 he’s a 10/10 for ability but effort only about 25%. Much rather have a 5/10 giving 100%.
See lesgeo’s post (somewhere) about wasted talent, such a shame.

But their narrow wide men play as forwards supporting the striker, ours support the defence.

Sadly we’ve gone the quantity rather than quality route on our squad and ended up with an unbalanced selection. Loads of wingers & strikers and short at FB & CM. As I’ve said before we are carrying a number of players who have little chance of making the matchday squad let alone the starting XI and virtually no hope of moving any out so too many toys for Cox to fit in to his toy box.

It would appear that Cox can only find room for 1 out and out forward and 2 vaguely attack minded players in his outfield 10. 7 permanently defending with the other 2 helping when we don’t have the ball. Virtually all our shots yesterday were from distance, the only option when all the other players are behind the man with the ball. Unauthorised attacking is punished by being played deeper or not played at all. We have players here capable of terrorising most L2 defences if they’re allowed to, set out to score goals and let the opposition do the worrying.

A little used bench warmer in a poor L2 team you mean.

Our ‘best’ players in no particular order:-
    1. Not interested
    2. Injured.
    3. Playing out of position.
    4. On the bench.
    5. In the stand
    6. Looked like he could be among the best so moved out of position to become ineffective.
    Some good management needed.
