our overrated keeper
There’s plenty of competition but that’s up there fighting for the number 1 spot.
I just hope he continues to learn. He could have cost us 4 points last week, he didn’t, he got away with it. A lesson to be learnt though surely.

The point I made on another thread. I have no problem with taking off Roberts and Whitehall to look after them, especially when we have games close together. However AB thinks these subs don’t weaken the team, they do and so the timing is crucial. The win must be secure before the class players come off IMO.

AB has said several times in interviews that his substitutes have an influence on the game and don’t weaken the team. He’s wrong.

Are you going to tell us or simply wallow in your superiority.
Sorry – imagined superiority.2 users thanked author for this post.
Where are you looking on Twitter please?
Plenty miss the last 5 minutes of the first half to be at the front of the queue for the Iron Bar.
Thought he was a strange choice for the job.

Being quiet has got us far in these last few years hasn’t it?“Trying to discourage others from posting”
Not at all, if people have got something to say then say it. Posting supposedly tempting hints is not for me, that’s all.5 users thanked author for this post.
Where did I say that?
Yes, weekly pass Deerey.

Had no problems.
Still more ” I know something you don’t” postings
Some of our passing sublime, some reminded me of Sheffield Park in the 60’s.
How Torps thought MOM should have been one of the CBs is unbelievable, young Rose was decent though and saved 2 points.1 user thanked author for this post.
Manager “expecting to win games” is a dangerous attitude IMO.
Very strange!! Another post with the same theme appears to have been deleted.
Yeah probably too soon we will be settling for a play off spot.
Just not good enough are we.The most frustrating thing – sometimes we are.

Do you mean Too soon?

I really can’t see why Bruers and the Trust are getting involved in this. Can’t we just file the Unity Group under “Well Intentioned” and let them get on with it?

Not sure that Richie Bennett ever played better than Cal Roberts though!
Almost always ‘Undisclosed’ these days.
I doubt we’ll get much of a fee. If, as suspected, he’s on a sizeable wage I don’t think there’ll be many clubs (at the level that will be interested) will want to pay a big fee and take on what will be a significant weekly outlay. As above, it could depend on how necessary it is to reduce the wage bill. We might have to settle for a free and a sell on but we could be stuffed without him. Tough decision for the board if there are offers and whatever they decide will probably upset 50% of fans. There’s no “right” decision is there?
I can’t believe that friction and name calling between groups that all support The Iron and have the clubs interests at heart achieves anything. There is more than one way to support The Club, if somebody’s ideas don’t align with your own that doesn’t necessarily make them wrong. For example it could be argued that subsidising away travel and hosting kids Christmas parties encourages support both now and in the future. Do we need to have antagonism between groups that seek to support The Club in different ways.
For avoidance of doubt – CT = Iron Trust member.Spent 3 months on Nicholson’s long throw, worked once.
Reminded him of Cleeeeevlaaand! We can only hope.
Torps made an interesting point on RH commentary. Apparently Fadera was playing “park football” not long ago and it showed as “he plays without fear” not having had it coached out of him yet.
How long will that take? Done by Tuesday?1 user thanked author for this post.
Cally Stewart, NLN top scorer, Leamington to Shrewsbury (undisc) They then beat Darlo without him.

Another example of a team giving everything against us and having nothing left for the next game.
Starting Tuesday – must win.

Chorley (8th) v Scunny (4th)
They failed to score in 3 of their last 5 and in 4 of their last 6 games. But only took 5 minutes against us!!
