To be brutally honest there were about 1500 people in the crowd yesterday who could see how the game was going at 3-2 and would be a better manger than Hill – not saying this is the answer but surely they couldn’t do a worse job?
Came down fron the north east yesterday more in Hope than expectation but even I was shocked at what I saw
The Positives :- Great fan support for the team ( that totally do not deserve the loyalty) and good sarcasm when the worst happened.
The team came over to the fans at the end showing the only bottle in the entire 90 mins.
The pies were nice and good value and the match programme is back.
Nutall shows great improvement.
We should do better next year in the NLN.The negatives:-
The defending or lack thereof – complete comedy and Solihull should have scored at least 6 .All the praise heaped on them needs to be taken with a pinch of salt when the quality of the opposition is taken into account
The substitutions? – is Hill a plant ( both literally and intellectually)or just a henchman for the much more evil Swann? There can be no other explanation that this is a deliberate attempt to drive us into administration.
Every fan I talked could see what was coming and what needed to be done at half time but somehow we became an even worse ‘team’ in the second half. We will not have a ghost of a chance until we get rid of the manager and that will only happen when Swann is no longer around2 users thanked author for this post.
O.K I’ll bite ….
So money from the fansis the answer to everything UTI99.. Try telling that to all the fans of relegated clubs with a far bigger fan base than us who have struggled to get out of the National league ( look how long it took Luton). If you are as big a genius as you obviously think you are and we are all as thick as you ‘think’ do explain why you support a regime who has form in trying to sell club assets ( Gainsborough Trinity anyone?). Your simplistic view of the world is absolutely astounding – (I wonder how you vote?) If you need to be told how to think go ahead but most people accept there are usually several points of view on any topic. I challenge you to reply without insulting the intelligence of the fans who are passionate about the Iron and are gutted as to how we have been allowed to become the current laughing stock we are. People have every right (even you) to decide how best to send the current owner a message, whether it be to spend their hard earned cash or not…3 users thanked author for this post.
Are you REALLY for real UTI99 or a troll. If the former you really need to consider if it is happy clappers like yourself that destroy clubs by feeding the ego of deluded owners – if ever there was proof that money is no measure of a man ( or woman) can I respectfully point you at Mr Swann ( there may be vacancy of chief sycophant available if you are interested – you certainly are well qualified)

Surprised he had the brains to work out which finger to use – he certainly doesn’t know where his feet are

To be totally honest – an overwhelming sense of relief – this has been coming for over 2 years now and I freely admit to not travelling to Glanford park for 3 years. I supported the Iron through the dark years of the 70’s when we applied for re-election on a regular basis but have never wavered in my support until a certain Mr Swann showed has face ( did no-one realise what he did to Gainsborough Trinity before accepting his blood money). Successive mangers have has absolutely no chance with the embargo in place so hope we have a complete clear out of playing staff and start again from scratch. This can only happen if Swann ‘disappears’ taking his nepotism and sycophantic apologists with him. It is not loyality to the club blindly accepting what has happened over the past 3 years – wake up, smell the roses, and get behind a ‘new’ club and future. I’ll be back as soon as Swann sells up but not before – don’t suppose he fancies his chances at Grimsby or Hull ?
