This guy is a fly by night, a total loser who hasn’t a clue on how to run any football club never mind a league club!

We support the 72nd minute walkout. We also need some banners made to support this and chanting Swann out throughout.

This using of handcuffs by stewards and their hostile behaviour towards home supporters has now been brought to the forefront on Radio Humberside. It should be brought to the attention of the national press and published to show what is happening at our beloved Scunthorpe United FC. The SWANNS show total disdain for our supporters. JUST WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE.

Well uptheiron99 tell your mate SWANN to get the club up for sale officially and get the for sale board up and clear off and take yourself with him.

It sounds to me that Simon has had enough of the SWANNS and what they have done to our beloved Scunthorpe United. His heart is in the club and like many other supporters including our family have been supporting our Club through family generations. The SWANNS haven’t the slightest idea what our Club means to loyal supporters and our town. They are just fly-by-nights, here today and gone tomorrow and have wrecked the infrastructure of Scunthorpe United and should be booted out. In my opinion it was the worst day in our club’s history when they entered our club and should never be allowed near any other organisation.

There is no excuse for violence but I believe home and away fans should be treated the same. In my opinion the stewarding at the Doncaster Road end has been seriously ramped up over the last few matches so as to prevent a demonstration against the SWANNS. I am just as frustrated with what the SWANNS have done to our Scunthorpe United as are most supporters. It is absolutely devastating and disgraceful that we are about to lose our football league status because of the actions of one man and his family. The demonstrating should not be just at the Doncaster Road end but all around the stadium and in an organised peaceful way to show the SWANNS how they are thought of and that we want rid of them and given our stadium and assets back.
C’mon let’s get this demo organised. Should have been done several games ago. It needs to be done properly and with most fans on board.

We’ve just spoken to a season ticket holder in our street, who has been for many seasons. His words were “I’m not getting another season ticket whilst he is in charge.” We have been season ticket holders for the last ten seasons and been supporters for the last sixty-odd years and we feel exactly the same as him. Thank you STEVE WHARTON for the good, exciting times and the bad times too when we have supported our Club through thick and thin. As for the SWANNS please do us all a favour, give us back our stadium and land and leave us in a better position as you said you would when you first came here, AND CLEAR OFF AND SELL THE CLUB to someone or a consortium whe really care about our beloved Scunthorpe United FC.

Is SWANN trying to have a laugh at supporters expense!!!! He didn’t want to survive in the football league in my opinion. Why do you think we have been playing the sixteen year old, sold Loft with no fit replacement, let Hyppolyte go and Green. Weird team formations and then yesterday sold Manny. Simon Elliott was on the radio before the match yesterday and said it wouldn’t have made any sense paying the
loan off as it will be wiped off in June. That’s SWANN talking. He’s just a SWANN front man to take the heat off SWANN. They obviously don’t value football league status whatsoever. Then Elliott said we will have an increased budget next season. Who on earth believes that. SEASON TICKETS they’re certainly having a laugh alright!!!!7 users thanked author for this post.
I agree Sharpshooter and I feel he shouldn’t be playing anyway. Playing an inexperienced 16 year old in a match we had to win was ridiculous. Sinclair came on too late, we need that width particularly on our small pitch, and Sam Burns was just kept on the bench with Nuttall on his own up front. But I felt it was Nuttalls best game so far. Its the worst centre midfield we have ever had, so weak, so when teams attack us it’s like a knife going through butter. But hey if SWANN has had £5000 dangled in front of him regards playing the young lad then he will play. In my opinion we all know SWANN just wants the money and away.

Brigg Town wouldn’t want Swann and neither would any other football club with his track record. In fact in my opinion last season we should have been the team dropping out of the league. At the end of the season, I don’t like to say this, but Grimsby Town were picking up results and playing better than us. We stayed up by the skin of our teeth. What did SWANN do he further weakened the team, the same as the season before. WE’RE ROTTEN AT THE TOP.

We can live in hope that all the Swanns are going and transferring the stadium and assets back to our Club as Swann said he would at some point. But then he never does what he says does he?????

Put it this way. We don’t need a finance manager as we don’t have any finances. That’s because SWANN has spent them all and taken our assets and ground as payment for spending them too. Talk about a double whammy!!!!!!!

I’d be very surprised indeed with his track record if any other football club in the land would want him anywhere near or business come to that.

The worst day ever in Scunthorpe United’s history when him and his family stepped into our Club. We never believed a word he said from day one.

Don’t feel we will be able to look forward even to next season if SWANN AND HIS LOSER FAMILY ARE STILL HERE. It will be more of the same staring relegation from the national league in the face. SWANN AND HIS LOSER FAMILY are to blame for this snd no-one else at all.

You’re right Lord Kitchener if Hill stays it will need SWANN to put money in for players at the end of the season, but never mind to bring us back up into the football league, but to stop us dropping even lower. But SWANN stated at a meeting for season ticket holders that he would not put any of his money into our Club and went so far as to say why should he. So unless he goes our future looks very bleak indeed. So please SWANN do us all a favour and advertise our Club as up for sale, get us a new buyer/chairman/consortium and clear off.
In my opinion you’re wrong awaywego. What you are doing is falling into SWANN’S TRAP of starting to blame Keith Hill for our present situation and taking the heat off SWANN AND CO. SWANN must have known this squad of players would not keep us in the league, it was too late and all we ended up with in January were players no other clubs were interested in signing. As for SWANN stating we wouldn’t drop out of the football league and that he would do what is necessary to prevent that, this is what you should be focusing on awaywego and not slating Keith Hill. The book stops here and is now firmly at SWANN’S door. I believe when reading through the lines of what Keith Hill in his after match interview last Saturday regarding this situation the club finds itsel in is non of his making or of the players. But he is behaving in a professional manner by not explicitly saying that it is THE SWANN’S MAKING on the radio. This is my HONEST opinion.

The stewarding on Saturday has deteriorated further. When driving on to the car parks there was no steward at the end of the roadway to direct cars to either car park. So cars were turning right to go onto the main car park who shouldn’t be and the steward their was having to turn them around to go onto the east car park, possibly they were away fans, I don’t know. But this was causing cars having to queue as they couldn’t turn onto the main car park. We paid £120 for a car park bay due to disability but we hardly ever get our nominated bay near the turnstiles as people are allowed to park anywhere and 9 times out of 10 someone else is in our bay. What a shambles it is becoming.

Just having read an article in the Daily Mail stating that our Club could be looking at an FA enquiry regarding the recent pitch invasions versus Rochdale and Oldham, this says it all about our Club. Disgraceful stewarding. They have started putting 80% of the stewards in front of our home supporters on the Doncaster Road end terrace. They are making out it is Scunthorpe fans who are hostile and letting the away fans do as they please. Is this another SWANN instruction so that our fans can’t demonstrate their feelings to the BOARDROOM FAMILY at the end of matches. This is totally unacceptable and putting our players at risk with the present stewarding at the away end. Then again no leadership, when a club is rotten at the top everything follows on. A chairman who doesn’t want to be here any longer and can’t even be bothered to attend matches but berates our fans for not attending in larger numbers.

I think we will struggle to keep any half decent players we have, and that’s not many at all. I think Rory Watson will leave, he deserves much better. The fans also deserve much better, the matchday experience is the worst it has ever been in all of the 72 years we have been supporters. The football if you can call it that is the worst we have seen, and the facilities in the stadium are disgusting. No printed matchday programme, no working scoreboard, disgusting toilet facilities, and rubbish stewarding.

February 21, 2022 at 12:18 pm in reply to: Petition Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Council #232464Deereyme we are just two loyal family member supporters who have been for the last 72 years. No we don’t represent a group or any organisation. We are really disgusted what the SWANNS have done to our Club.

It’s SWANN who let Loft go. It was obvious he couldn’t wait to get some cash, even though a trivial amount and his was one of the first transfers in the January window. It was SWANN who said Loft wouldn’t leave without a replacement and Simon Elliott came out and said Burns was not the replacement.

February 20, 2022 at 8:50 pm in reply to: Petition Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Council #232422We are Trust members. What is the address to log in and read this information please if anyone can tell me as stated by 64.
February 20, 2022 at 8:14 pm in reply to: Petition Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Council #232419We have supported Scunthorpe United since 1958 through good and bad and our hearts are truly in Scunthorpe United. We have supported them home and away and so have our families. We’ve enjoyed and celebrated the good times and felt really down when the times have been bad. I’m sure there are lots more supporters the same as us. But I can tell you now Awaywego we have never felt so low and so angry and disillusioned in all of the last sixty odd years by what has happened to our Club and caused by this current chairman and his family. Now is the time for fans and supporters to pull together. I must say your sarcasm does not help one little bit and I have to ask is your heart really in Scunthorpe United.

February 20, 2022 at 4:46 pm in reply to: Petition Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Council #232406North Lincolnshire Council exists and why can’t the Football Trust start a petition with fans, and Scunthorpe and other local people along the lines of “save our Scunthorpe United Football Club. Then this could be passed on to the Councils and let the press know this is happening. Oldham supporters let the owners know exactly how they felt about the way their Club was being run, via boycotting and demonstrations and this filtered into the local and national press. All we have had is one lockout at the entrance gates but that made the press. I am sure supporters need their voice to be heard and can make a difference to keeping our Club alive.
Yes Awaywego most chairmen will want their investment back when they leave but not many take the club’s stadium and assets and transfer them to their own company as well. He has gambled with club’s money by his extortionate spending and then taking all our club’s assets to fund it too. Don’t tell me this is fair and reasonable. Is it verging on being illegal? Its definitely perverse in my opinion.

February 20, 2022 at 1:53 pm in reply to: Petition Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Council #232383Yes j Charles you are absolutely correct. We’ve paid £20 for lifelong family membership of the Iron Trust. I feel like asking for a refund. What are they actually doing to even
show they care about our club’s dire situation.2 users thanked author for this post.
February 20, 2022 at 1:41 pm in reply to: Petition Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Council #232379Look at what Oldham fans have done, they showed just how much they value Oldham Athletic being members of the Football League. Surely the Iron Trust and Supporters Club should be giving a lead into what fans can do to help our situation.

February 20, 2022 at 1:38 pm in reply to: Petition Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Council #232376Yes maybe you’re right vader but doing nothing doesn’t seem an option to me. If we don’t ask the questions we get no answers. I’m sure Scunthorpe Borough Council and North Lincolshire Council value Scunthorpe United Football Club. If our Club folds that would be another nail in the coffin for Scunthorpe Town.
