After the last couple of matches I have been swayed to thinking its time Keith Hill went and after listening to his after match interview today I am even more sure of that now. He says the fans will be feeling disappointed with our present position, DISAPPOINTED comes nowhere near to how our supporters are feeling, particularly those of us who have supported the club over the last sixty years or so. He comes on the radio saying he has a plan, well with his team selections match after match his plan looks like set to lose. Every match we are playing worse than the match before. He said he has a good relationship with the SWANNS Well its time in my opinion that both HILL AND THE SWANNS LEFT OUR CLUB!!!!!
In my opinion SWANN is still saying what goes at our Club and is simply pulling the strings of Lee Turnbull the puppet of the SWANNS. We supporters aren’t stupid and know what is going on SO C’MON LETS HAVE THAT PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION TODAY, OUR VOICES MUST BE HEARD.

Perhaps by giving the Doncaster Road end to Mansfield and having our fans in the away end it might confuse the heavy handed military style stewards into ensuring the away fans don’t invade the pitch and get away with it!!!!!!!
One day to go and then the PEACEFUL PROTEST!!!!!!!!
One day to go and then PROTEST!!!!!!!
Another good post Bartonscorpion, following on from Ironfromafar. You’ve really summed up the feelings of the majority of supporters. We have been fed lie after lie after lie. This in my opinion is another smokescreen bringing in Lee Turnbull. I wonder who is paying his wage as well and how much. I’m sure he’s not left Peterborough for peanuts. I say regarding the peaceful demonstration BRING IT ON!!!!!

I find it hard to believe we were paying £4000 per week in interest to Swanns company, Coolsilk and that one of our directors was paid £190,000. I wonder who that was? And then we have been losing £90,000 a week. The Swanns have been an absolute recipe for disaster since they stepped foot into our Club. Please give us our land and assets back and sell up and walk away ASAP.

C’mon awaywego now is the time to use your shop steward experience and techniques on Saturday versus Mansfield for the demo.
A good post ironfromafar. Says it as it is. We totally agree a 72 minute walk out against Mansfield with the majority of fans on board is what’s needed now.
A very good post Sharpshooter24. It sums up our feelings towards SWANN and what he has done to our football club and also I am sure the feelings of the majority of our supporters. Until the SWANNS leave our football club for good nothing at all will change for the better, in my opinion whilst they are still here things may deteriorate even further. What a ridiculous statement from him. SWANNS OUT!!!!!!

We still need that protest because nothing has changed except that LT has been put in the firing line. Simon Elliott realised what was going to happen and in my opinion that’s why he left because he could see its a lost cause because Swann is going nowhere and we all know where that will lead.

Yes awaywego I wish she would leave too. Karin Swanns right hand woman I believe. I believe she has been behind all the cost-cutting too, no matchday programme no working scoreboard for instance. NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE.
So c’mon I feel the peaceful protest should still be on at the Mansfield match to let him know just what him and his family have done to our Club. He underestimates how devastating it is to supporters for our Club to lose its league status and the importance of it to our community. I believe with the attitude of SWANN and whilst he is still here we may never regain league status.

After reading SWANNS announcement nothing has changed except that LT will be in the firing line. Its not even worth reading it, just the same old same old!!!!!!!!!

What a joke. Is SWANN having a laugh at our expense. Nothing has changed whatsoever! It’s just the same old same old. If he thinks our youth are anywhere near good enough to survive in the national league playing against experienced physical seasoned footballers the man is utterly and totally deluded. There are teams in there better than some of the teams in efl 2. He is saying we have to be self-funding and that money through the turnstiles, season tickets etc. will fund the players. I feel we’re being duped yet again. SWANN is going nowhere unless someone is buying our club. NO MENTION OF HIM GIVING THE STADIUM AND ASSETS BACK TO OUR CLUB WHERE THEY BELONG. WHO WILL WANT TO BUY OUR CLUB WITH THE ASSETS HAVING BEEN STRIPPED AWAY. Diabolical statement in my opinion.

We’re still waiting! The weekend is nearly over. Oh dear me is this something else which isn’t going to happen!!!
Still waiting for the statement.!!!!!!!!!!!

This is just my opinion. I guess you’re leaving too uptheiron99 with the rest of your family!
SWANN must be paying LT a good wage and perhaps LT doesn’t want to be over at Peterborough, and I would say the scouting job is only part-time. Nothing to do with LT having worked with SWANN before regarding SWANNs credibility or should I say incredibility awaywego. As LT can talk the talk and knows how to keep himself in a job with whoever and whenever. THIS PROTEST SHOULD STILL GO AHEAD.
You must be the only happy employee he has awaywego!!!!!!
“Good employer” awaywego. You’re having a laugh. Ha ha ha!!!!! He’s lost more staff than any other chairman we’ve ever had. Commercial, accountant, shop staff, stadium manager, club secretary, medical staff. Darent even mention the number of football managers he’s hired and fired anx the number of zctual fans and supporters. I guess he is the most hated man in Scunthorpe right now. But I’m scared he’ll be last man standing!!!!!!!!
Depending on SWANNS statement at the weekend the demonstration should still go ahead. Please read my post on the “Swann Out At Last” header. As I have said unless there is a buyer/buyers waiting in the wings and he says he has got said buyer/buyers then in my opinion this is all smoke and mirrors ONCE AGAIN. I hope I am wrong.

After my initial feeling of exuberance on hearing the news that SWANN had stepped down as Chairman with immediate effect I now am fearful that this is another of SWANNs ploys and deceipts. Unless there is a buyer/buyers waiting in the background to take over our Club I fear nothing has changed. I have great respect for LT but he is a footballing scout/head of recruitment, never has been a club secretary or chief executive even never mind a chairman. I fear he has come here to be a frontman/puppet for SWANN, hoping that fans will spend their money on season tickets, car parking bays and return through the turnstiles to get money in for SWANN. Also to take the flak for SWANN and deter any demonstrations. I do hope I am totally wrong in what I am thinking but fearful that I am right. If I am right the SWANNS company still own our stadium, assets and land and they will not make any money available to save our Club and nothing we all will have changed. ANOTHER PLAN TO TAKE THE HEAT OFF SWANN?????

Until our Club is officially SOLD I don’t believe it as we all know SWANN cannot be trusted!!!!!

After reading Lee Turnbulls statement on the club website I don’t feel convinced. Why would a chairman who has resigned with immediate effect contact and employ a custodian of the football club. Surely the new owners would do that. Is this just another ploy to get more season ticket sales and take the heat off himself and prevent any demos from the fans.

I guess if we have a buyer or a consortium of buyers ready to take over our Club it will take some time to sort everything out, all the legal side of things with the EFL checks and other legal issues. That could be why Lee is standing in with the changeover. Let’s hope this is the case.

At last Putin number 2 gone. Both say what they are going to do and do the opposite!!!!

We need several organisers to get this protest going. There’s plenty of time to organise before the Mansfield game. I am sure that the supporters of any other club in the EFL in our position would be organizing peaceful demos.
This guy isn’t fit to mention Steve Whartons name!

After listening to the podcast today Swann has proved himself what an utter loser he is. He said we are now sustainable and that’s what he wanted for our Club. So regardless of us losing our football league status he is happy about that, and he stated it makes us more attractive to investors. In my opinion he is totally dillusional and lacks enough knowledge on how to run a Sunday league club never mind an EFL Club. Several times when asked straightforward questions he didn’t know the answer and just waffled. This is why we are where we are, staring relegation in the face, because Swann is clueless and we need him gone otherwise our Club will be extinct if he stays.
