These are just words from the Trust mainly regarding things that have happened in the past. Still there is no mention of an urgent meeting being called to discuss what action to be taken. They are not even trying to give any lead or guidance as to what they propose to do. No mention of fund-raising to try and save our Club when even other clubs supporters’ are wanting to help.

January 20, 2023 at 5:15 pm in reply to: Just Giving – Crowd Funding – Go Fund Me – Iron Bru – Phoenix Club #253492Any one know legally how we can start a giving fund and a crowd fund for SUFC. Is there any person on here with any legal knowledge how to start us off?
January 20, 2023 at 3:12 pm in reply to: Just Giving – Crowd Funding – Go Fund Me – Iron Bru – Phoenix Club #253484I don’t think we can rely on the Iron Trust to help.
January 20, 2023 at 3:11 pm in reply to: Just Giving – Crowd Funding – Go Fund Me – Iron Bru – Phoenix Club #253483If anyone has got a plan for fund-raising. We need an organised meeting with time and place. I for one will gladly help.

But hey he’s not left yet and we can’t get rid of him!!!!!!! Perhaps he’ll be here forever because his promises never happen. Oh my goodness what a nightmare!!!!!
He did say our Club would be in a better position when he left than when he took over and also that he would give the stadium back at some point to our Club.

The Trust are having a meeting with the club, LT, today. We can guess what will come out of that. It will be to discourage any further demonstrations against Swann. Anyone singing Swanny out could be arrested. “You supporters will all applaud Swann and what he is doing to your club, he is a good guy”. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
There’s not an ounce of passion coming out from The Trust regarding saving our beloved Scunthorpe United.

Says it all, the Chairman, Tony Gosling, is a Labour Councillor. He’s just playing at politics with our Club. Wish we’d never joined. They’re not speaking up for supporters and our beloved Scunthorpe United. They should at the very least be calling an urgent meeting of Trust members and getting our views on this disastrous predicament of our Club and discussing what action members want to take. WITHOUT MEMBERS THE TRUST WILL BE DEAD!!!!!
Yes the wages were paid that afternoon Mick but he made out there was no problem when quite obviously there was, I and others stuck up for him and he made us look like right mugs, why would anyone believe anything he says again?
Also Ian Sharpe paid the wages and said we only had two hours survival left if he hadn’t paid them. Swann would have taken us under then. Ian came on the radio and was so excited about the deal going through and Simon said he had a good luck message from the Swanns but wouldn’t sit in the directors box until the deal was done. Obviously Swann was making out the deal would go through. Then there’s LT making out there’s no problems with wages etc at our Club. It’s all lies from Swann and LT. He’s just Swanns lacky, LEE TURNCOAT!!!!!

As soon as our supporters have a peaceful demonstration TURNCOAT comes out of the woodwork and actually gives a statement. Saying the police will come door knocking. Clear off with Swann TURNCOAT!!!!!!

His name should be LEE TURNCOAT. Disgraceful, we haven’t heard anything from him for weeks. All these weeks fans have been feeling rock bottom about what’s happening with our Club. Then the late wage payment which TURNCOAT even denied. Then now we have a winding up order for non-payment to HMWC. Utter silence from TURNCOAT. No excuses!!!!!!!

I wish we had never joined the Iron Trust. A total waste of money as The Trust are a total waste of time. They never speak up for supporters and should feel ashamed.

We were sat in the main stand as usual with our season tickets yesterday. I can categorically say that it was only a minority who were against the protest. We and others were clapping and shouting “WE WANT SWANNY OUT” which I am sure all of our supporters want him out too. We’ll done lads in the DRE. Let’s hope more follow next time. I think maybe a sit in after the match or before would be good. We definitely need more organised protests. WELL DONE!!!!!!

We also now need much more from The Trust. We have been too quiet for far too long. There was over 2500 supporters at our match yesterday and for one man, SWANN, to be allowed to wind our Club up would be an abomination.

Well lets be very clear on this shall we III there is only one person who will or will not sell the club and decide when. It is SWANN. All our supporters know this.
This forum is where fans can state their opinions and not have to put up with the rudeness of such persons as Awaywego!!!!!!

These are just my thoughts and instincts due to the ongoing dire situation with Swann. A deal had supposedly be done with Ian and Simon in December. Simon came on the radio and stated that Peter and Karin Swann had rung him and wished them the best of luck. People in the media have said also that the goalposts keep being moved. The London consortium also put a bid in and now there seems to be other interested parties. If Swann had wanted to sell surely he would and should have done by now, particularly as he has run all the debts up which are owed.

I agree ironing but I couldn’t do it alone. We are members of the Trust and would gladly give our time to help in any way we can. Surely the Trust should be taking the lead and I’m sure that supporters would follow.
You can say what you like about Nic Dakin. This is the here and now and it is important to get this out into the media. Nic Dakins was a good interview expressing the importance of our beloved Scunthorpe United as a community asset to our town. He has always been an Iron supporter attending matches and doing sponsorships.
We’ll give Swann more credit alright. He deserves all the credit for wrecking our beloved Football Club Scunthorpe United and leading all true fans to the depths of despair. If there is any justice our Club will be sold to new buyers and Swann will be wrecked himself.
Simon Elliott and Ian Sharpe I’m sure are doing their utmost to attract more investors. Lets all pray to God they succeed otherwise Swann will have been allowed to force our Club into extinction to feed his disgusting gambling.

Now we know why our stadium and land was transferred to Coolsilk, Swanns company.

Sorry was supposed to read, have read the COURT documents not contract documents.
Totally agree Wondergoals. Have read the contract documents. The statement regarding being in a position after the play-offs to pay a sum of money to AB says it all, if I understand it correctly. Pure evil what Swann has done to our beloved Scunthorpe United. All the staff must be so worried regarding upcoming wages. Its disgusting. The worst I have heard regarding an owner of a football club. Where is the protective legislation, there isn’t any. Unbelievable what one man can be allowed to do to a football club, its soul destroying. How dare he show his face in public and in the business community.

Rather than save our beloved SUFC which he owns. He CHOSE to gamble away thousands instead. NO SYMPATHY PLEASE!!!!!!!

64 – ALLEGED covers myself against a disgraceful SUFC wrecker. He would take anyone to court as nothing is ever his fault. He thinks he’s blameless for all of his wrong doings.

Steve Wharton didn’t run the debts up that Swann has and he would never ever have signed the stadium and land over to his own company, Wharton Shipping, as Swann did to Coolsilk. Yes the club was ran with a debt of possibly 2, 3 or 4 million but no football clubs on a par with us are self sustainable and Swann should have known that if he was any kind of a businessman. The government and the football league should bring in legislation to stop this ever being allowed to happen again.

Maybe you weren’t around to enjoy the success we had on the football pitch with Steve Wharton as Chairman, Awaywego. Otherwise you wouldn’t be knocking him. His family were Scunthorpe United through and through. I thank him for signing Joe Murphy, Andy Crosby and Ian Baraclough, the backbone of our team which set us on the way to trips to Wembley and several promotions. Let’s not forget Billy Sharpe, Andy Keogh, Gary Hooper, Martin Patterson and many other signings. What great times! Never to be forgotten!
Agree we need to get back to the structure of our Club when Steve Wharton was Chairman, a local man, and his father before him who were dedicated to Scunthorpe United. Then we may eventually get back to the success we had under their tenure. Young and new supporters have not seen any of the successful seasons we had, they only know the disaster which happened with the Swanns in charge. Let’s hope now for a successful re-build of our Club for the new generation of fans particularly.
