It’s obvious Cox isn’t going to walk away, after all who would give their wages up just like that. So now it’s up to one man, that is SWANN, he is the only person who can sack Cox, get a new management team in and try and keep us in the football league. Inaction from SWANN means he is happy with the present situation and happy for us to drop out of the football league.

SWANN is just full of bullshit and I am now beginning to think that COX is too, it’s obviously rubbed off on him.

So SWANN is saying the team are good enough to keep us in the football league. So therefore he is putting the blame for our present position onto the manager and coaches. So why is he not doing anything about it and firing them. Is it because its all going according to plan for him.

Does anyone know did swann even bother to turn up tonight to watch that dire display?

There’s only one way we’re going with Cox and its out the football league. He couldn’t manage a Sunday League side. He takes off Scrimshaw who was playing well, having possession of the ball and causing Barrow problems. He said post match that Loft was feeling ill, so why leave him on and take off Scrimshaw. The man has no idea and it was embarrassing to watch that last 30 minutes but we knew what Cox would do as it is the same every match. We don’t have a win in us with this imbecile in charge. COX AND SWANN need to go after that display, if Cox isn’t sacked.

What SWANN has done is take the easy route out for him and his boardroom family by stripping our Scunthorpe United of everything we own to cover his lavish and outrageous spending spree and left our Club with nothing. He made sure him and his family could never lose because he always had this as his back-up plan in my opinion.
Let’s face it…Swann came here with no real business plan, spent recklessly to try and wing a promotion and ever since it’s dawned on him that he couldn’t sustain that silly spending at a club of this size he’s slowly asset stripped us of all the more capable players and has cut cost to such an extent that the club is now hanging by a thread.
That’s what’s happened. Do you really think a chairman with any kind of ambition would have kept a manager as incapable as Cox at his club for this long ?
The answer to that is a resounding no. I don’t care what he says, he’s largely washed his hands of the club as far as I’m concerned.
If Swann’s not willing to sort the embargo out and pump a bit of money in the club to at least give us more of a fighting chance, what’s the point in him even being here ?

If we had 11 players that had performed as well as Rory in every game this season we would be in the top half of the table.
For me the only one to match his consistency has been Pugh and he got dropped because “he didn’t train well”
He has been replaced by 2 loanees that have yet to make a tackle between them.
Spot on, you’ve hit the nail on the head. SWANN AND COX OUT.

You’re exactly right wouldn’t make much difference which ever keeper is in goal. But the main culprit of our present demise is SWANN. He is the one who hired Cox, he is the one who can fire him and have a go at keeping us in the football league, but is it too late anyway now that he has done all the damage to Scunthorpe United. Remember words are cheap and count for nothing if they are not followed by actions.

Totally agree go 4-3-3 let’s set our stall out to the opposition and attack from the kick-off. But I don’t think Cox is brave enough or bright enough tactically to try it. I hope I’m wrong and he does it. Let’s face it being defensive doesn’t work because we can’t defend.
Whoever organised and carried out the locking of the stadium VERY WELL DONE as this is what’s needed, media attention. Keep up the good work!

I hope you read this article in The Times Swann. ITS ALL ABOUT YOU AND WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO OUR CLUB TAKING US TO THE BOTTOM OF THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE!!!!!!
So Swann says he can’t attend matches due to prior business appointments. WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH! He knows the fixture list well in advance the same as the fans. Steve Wharton was a business man, Whartons Shipping. So how come he managed to fit in all the fixtures, home and away, whilst running his huge business, but Swann can hardly be bothered to attend any. HES PURE AND SIMPLY LOST INTEREST IN OUR CLUB. SWANN, SWANN GET YOURSELF GONE. That should be the chant at our next match.

Too true. Swann has reduced our Club to where we are now and yes he has knocked the spirit out of Scunthorpe United by his total failure as a football league chairman.

This is what Swann meant when he said “Scunthorpe fans need to lower their expectations”. Obviously he expects us to drop out of the football league and be happy about it. SERIOUSLY NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!

So c’mon Swann. You’ve heard the saying put your money where your mouth is. So let’s see it in writing that our stadium and assets will be returned to SUFC by a certain date say by the end of this season. If this is signed off we may then start to believe you mean what you say, which you have never don in the past. In my opinion it’s all just bluster and means nothing!

Bang on Iron lion just what I have been thinking. He’s worried the national press will get hold of what’s happening now and also what he has done to our Club. Dragging us to the bottom of the entire football league and gaining ownership of the clubs stadium and assets by transferring them to his own company. So suddenly Swanns attitude and opinions have changed overnight. I don’t buy into that and in my opinion a load of rubbish. He hasn’t changed at all. I like many others think he is trying to get shareholders on his side and split the fans. A desperate person will try different angles to suit themselves and no-one else. He doesn’t give a toss about the football at Scunthorpe United.

Sorry dessimated football team.

Would our fans rather see flats at the football ground or would they rather see a decent football team playing decent football. Its obvious Swann is only interested in his buildings and the land and couldn’t even be bothered to oversee the ground brought up to an acceptable standard for fans to attend during the close season. We came back to an absolutely disgraceful stadium, filthy seats, toilets unusable and a dessicated football team. He had got rid of any decent players. Then he has the audacity to blame the fans for not attending. Don’t believe a word that comes out of his mouth. All he’s doing is lieing to try and take the heat off himself as he can never take criticism. He’s afraid of bad publicity and the demonstrations that should be happening to show our fans discord. SWANN OUT!!!!!

It’s obvious from Swanns statements that the guy doesn’t even believe what he is saying HIMSELF!

Only a few days ago Swann stated that you can’t run a football league club on gates below 3000. Well look at the clubs above us in our league who are fairing much better than we are an gates well below 3000. If the club is rotten at the core eventually it goes all through the club and delivers on the pitch. So in seven days Swann has changed his opinions on the way he has been running our Club. But then again he is disappointed that the fans have taken it so badly. What a load of lies.
Swann is trying to keep some fans on his side by crawling like the snake he is, but if we exit the football league at the end of the season which is looking high likely he will not take any blame and will turn it onto the fans for not turning out to watch the worst football, if you can call it football, being played since we entered the football league. Listening the podcast this morning and they said we didn’t look conference or even below that standard. They said we looked like a Sunday League side at Harrogate. Every match we are getting worse. But on the podcast it was said that they think we will get even lower if Swann doesn’t change things. Is this what he means by “lowering our expectations”. Snakes and worms squirm when they are in trouble but they never change.

“disappointed in the way it has been taken by the fans” This is no apology. Swann talks in riddles as usual. He says one thing but means another. How does he expect the fans to take it that he has taken us to the bottom of the football league and as yet is not looking to change anything. The majority now don’t trust Swann, with good reason, what he said regarding scunthorpe united fans needd to lower their expectations, well we can’t get much lower than where we are now. I and the majority of our fans expect us to remain in the football league. Obviously he thinks our expectations are too high. SWANN GET GONE.
Thanks Ferrite for those crowd stats. This shows and proves that Swanns knowledge on how to run a football league club is NIL!!!

I totally agree Sanfran. I am sick and tired of Swann blaming the fans for the situation we are now in. Even if 4000 fans attended the games now this would not keep us in the football league, it would just line Swanns pockets. Swann is an absolute rubbish chairman and that is putting it mildly. He shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a football club ever again. He has got our Club in the mess we find ourselves now and never acknowledges any blame. He says one thing and means another and doesn’t know the meaning of the word truth. He must be the most hated person in Scunthorpe. In my opinion he doesn’t compare with Fenty he is worse than him. Remember the life-size cutout of himself he had in the exec lounge at the forums. What a pompous imbecile he really is.

Bob Steeles probably hasn’t got the money but he’s certainly got more nouse about football than Swann will ever have and that’s a fact.

You’re right Wondergoals. Swann sacked Paul Hurst just as we had started to play much better under him and it looked like we could be turning the corner. Swann didn’t sack him because of his football management, he sacked him because he spoke out and told the truth regarding not being given what was promised him. Swann doesn’t know the meaning of the word truth even if it jumped up and bit him on the bum. I’ve just been listening to the secretary of the Iron Trust on Radio Humberside. He said Swann keeps saying different things, I think that’s putting it mildly. Swanns either a liar or an imbecile or both if he believes what he is saying himself. The clown said this team are good enough to keep us in the league!!!!!

The little trust that remained in SWANN has now virtually gone. ORGANISED RELEGATION AND LIQUIDATION if nothing changes very quickly.
