The only thing I find disrespectful here is the assumption they will get standing ovation.

The only thing I find disrespectful here is you seem to be assuming I expect a standing ovation when it doesn’t appear in the OP.

Take an example of a large company making widgets, a department wasn’t performing with reference to production and was reducing income. Do you think the manager’s department would continue without any input from his boss such as pull your finger out, these are our aims etc. I see no reason why a football club is any different.

Could Butler decide to give 4-3-3 a go under the precept of resting certain players and giving the fringe players a game?

There was no casting symbol on the screen so I right clicked on my mouse and casting to my TV came up on a list.

I don’t know about the other 2, but from first hand experience we desperately need Glyn to return.

Pardon my ignorance but who is he and what did he do previously and why do we need him?

I took those figures from the match programme. I expect they are taking the stats from 1950 when we joined the football league.

I’ve voted for several political parties over the years but have always thought it’s useful for your MP to be from the governing party. I think this is such a case.

What does the club pay all these stewards for? They just stand about doing nothing. The club should be asking for a refund.

I seem to remember we had Adkins and Crosby and all the other management teams were pairs. How and why have we now come to have a team of 3?.

Rance seemed fairly anonymous to me and Pugh only noticed because of his poor tackles leading to yellow/red cards.

    [ignore this ‘test’ post]

Hmm… interesting. A word blocker does not like one of the words in a script I’ve tried to post.

Time to find the offending word.

Math is the word that offends me.

All those who watched Match of the day for Lineker and the pundits’ lengthy excruciating investigations of where the back 4s were please raise your hand.

I might start watching it again without that smug git presenting. I don’t need anyone to tell me what I’ve just watched. A missed opportunity to sack him and save the licence fees of over 8000 poor pensioners.

Surely Chapman could have timed his performances to have the birth during the close season.

I assume the club pays more than plenty to have stewards and police. They just stood there and looked and pointed a few times at the crowd. If I was paying the bill I would be asking for a refund, may as well have had cardboard cutouts.

Agree. Why not play him in the middle. He’s the only one who attacks the defence. On the wing when he’s passed one defender there’s always another one to take on. In the middle when past the central defender he could be in a one on one situation with the goalkeeper.

Watching the matches makes me realise how poor the commentators are. When listening you don’t notice but when watching you see how much play is actually going on while they are discussing the past club history of an opposition player etc. They should be doing that when there’s a break in play not during play.

Beestin has touched the ball 6 times and passed it straight out 4 times. Shocking all round.

Open hearth, some go back as far from when we sold Barrie Thomas, doesn’t make them any less of a fan though.

If a fan can also be described as a supporter then it seems logical to me that a fan who gives the club £15/£20 a fortnight, or £10 online as it is today, is more of a supporter than one who doesn’t. By definition the one who doesn’t is less of a supporter.

That was dire in the extreme. I’d drop Loft as it consciously or subconsciously makes us just lump the ball up. I’d play Green and Eisa in a 442, they’re no Hayes and Hooper but I feel they may keep the ball between them better and change our style of play for the better.
