In four of the last five games Lavery has given The Iron the lead. We lost all of those games and the TOTAL time we held those leads was slightly over half an hour.
Do we have anybody, players or management, capable of learning anything or do we just carry on doing the same old thing and getting the same result?

Yes we keep doing the same thing Cass, we have done this for five seasons on the bounce mate, we have had some really poor managers during that period, and not had a decent keeper during the five years, how the hell has Mussa kept the so called goal-keeping coaches job, without ever a questin of the results of his coaching???????????????????????????, the rest of the team are sub standard, but whle fans keep paying their money, things will never change.

I think if we’re not taken over for another month or so we’ll already be down. People may think that’s a slight over reaction but honestly do believe that.

How long do you think we have to be taken over to have a genuine shot at turning this season around ?

Lavery will be moving on too either next week or week after as his contract is up. Keep that in mind.

[/quote I would think that we are beyond the stage where we can be saved WG, what with only one point from the past eight matches or some thing like that, were is a bloody win going to come from, and we need about seven wins at least to have any chance of saving yet another relegation. It is ok Nelson keep saying after games that “we should have taken something from the games, the facts are that they are not taking anything from them!!!!!!

The team and management just are simply not good enough to even stay up in non-league football.

Actually when he took over control the club was in league two.

I wish to hell that they still were Brian, please do not feel sorry for this guy, at the end of the day, he also gambled with SUFC with his day dreams, just think after losing millions upon millions by chasing losses with even more money, there is no reason for any one supporter of SUFC to feel sorrow for taking our club into the place they are in now, and sadly we cannot even hold our own in non-league fooiball.

Sadly I predicted this end for our once great little club, maybe Swann will sue other members of league 1 & 2 when we were in them, for allowing Scunny to lose game after game and not taking any action of stopping the defeats ha ha! What happened to that New Stadium contractor that Swann took to court???

In my opinion, for what it is worth, I would think that a £6 million price tag for the sale asking price would be a fair figure if it includes the football club in its present state, the stadium, car parks and the training pitch to the west of the stadium.

A price for the football club and just the stadium, would probably have a value of £2.5 million maximum, taking into consideration that the club is suposedly losing £30,000 per week, and its performances and present playing record showing that things will only get worse, and there has been no possible signs after taking just one point from the past seven games that things will change, simply the players and management are really piss poor.

MY LONG STANDING PREDICTION THAT IT IS NOT IN SWANNS INTERESTS TO SELL THE CLUB SADLY STILL STANDS.

I think wages will be paid due to the sale of Nuttall and two decent gates (Notts County & Chesterfield) but after that, unless a sale is completed, January is looking pretty desperate.

I feel sure that Peter will come up with any cash requirements, just like he always has done, that’s why I cannot understand all the fans resentment, what is the saying?, “better the devil you know” than the so called new buyers!!!!

Enjoy the Christmas guys, and all the Very Best for the New Year, hope it is a lot better than the last six of them!!!

I would think that the stadium, car parks and the training pitch with its land surrounds is probably worth a total of probably about £15 million, but with Peter having the club and its fans interest at heart, has very much reduced its sale price because he wants the best possible deal for any new ownewrs and all the clubs supporters, I was talking to UpTheIron99 the other day, and he has the same feelings.

Just for the record, are there any Scunny fans or ex-fans that actually believe that the sale will ever go through??????????????????????????????????????????, next thing is for the club announcement that the deal has fallen through, same as I have predicted all season, and sadly my record of predictions is very good.

There appears to be too much mistrust by Iron-Bru members, surely our club owner of about nine years deserves more respect from you all.

Peter has attempted to build you all two new stadiums, he allowed the club to sink into a debt of about £13 million pounds in order to try and gain us Championship football, and you have thanked him by only about 2,000 of you turning up at games after 2,500 of you have deserted our little club, and only about e1,800 of you bought season tickets this season to watch a good few new teams that you have never seen before.
The way you so called supporters have deserted our club after Peter has gone out of his way to bring entertaining attacking footy for you to watch, and all a lot of you do is moan and slag him off, if I was Peter I would justd say why am I bothering to please these ungreatful people when all they do is complain at all my hard work I have done for them!!!!!

No wonder he is leaving SUFC, and as Peter said to fans when he arrived at Scuuny, I WILL LEAVE THE CLUB IN A BETTER STATE THAN WHEN I ARRIVED!! SOME OF YOU ARE EVEN SUGGESTING THAT THIS IS NOT THE CASE!!!!

If they’re in the middle of due dilligence and finalising a deal, why do people expect them to be giving statements, just because Nuttall left? The deal could take weeks or months yet.

    OR MORE LIKE YEARS.

England played very well in genmeral, but I thought that a lot of our left hand sise was spoiled by the fact that Shaw passed 95% of passes backwards, which resulted in France getting the defensive cover.
The subs were brought on far too late in the game, and when they were made, two players that have been right out of form in Sterling and Mount came on, and did nothing, the game called for Rachford and Grealish to be brought oin in about the 60 min mark.

But the main reason for our defeat was that arse hole of a ref, that got many things wrong by letting foul after foul go by, and England could easily have had four penalties if he had doing his job properly, and one penalty should have resulted in a red card. Time for Garath sOUTHGATE TO GO.

Does this latest statement and info come as a shock to any SUFC supporter, I very much doubt it, with the bold statement stil vividy displayed on Iron-bru that Swann has come to an agtreement for sale of the football club, now todays report is that Mr Sharp madw the Swanns an offer yesterday and Peter has gone away to ponder things, how much more bullshit are fans supposed to swallow before it is deemed enough is enough ???.

So no agreement was made last week and an offer was only submitted yesterday ha ha!.

Awaywego, It probably does not bother you if the club has the car park, training pitch and the other bits of land, but the whole package was taken from the club to repay a £11 million debt which was run up by the bad management and dreams of Swann, so it wants returning as a full package. To own a stadium in the centre of some other persons land could cause endless problems. Would the club have to rent the training pitch?, would car parking fees go to the owner of the car park being just two issues, and knowing the record of Swann, there will no doubt be others. But it was clearly stated in that interview a few times that it stood out that it was the stadium and not the package.

Same as you say Awaywego, it will not effect either you or myself and a good few others, but I would love to think that the club will have a long term future. It is not the supporters that have landed our long term Football League club in the present position that it is now in of, no stadium package, no money, living week to week, a sub-standard squad, poor managers, and Christ knows when the next win is likely to be.
So you should think of other younger fans pal rather than us “hasbeens”!!!

Where’s the 1000 who’d be returning with new owners? Was your seat still available BS?

Yes away we go pal, my long term season ticket seat of I32 is still available, but the same squad of players were still on centre stage, yes the squad that is bottom of the non-league status, and I have not as yet seen anywhere were the take over has been signed up, rember that we have been issueds with that really big package of lies over the past seven years, and there is time yet for this to again fall through, I really hope not, but the truth has been abcent for such a long time.
When Mr Sharp was interviewed on RH last Saturday, I noticed that he stated about five times that the Stadium was part of the deaL, but never said anything regarding the whole package of car parks and training pitch ect, is this not included in the so called sale????????

There is time to return awaywego, but after 70 years following the team, surely you will give me a week or two to get my head round things pal!!!!

‘Several years?’ I’d say the cut-off, NI, was the time when Alexander switched from highly successful tactics to ones which did not allow us to win points when dominating League One.

It started by Alexander changed styles in Jan of the season that wewere in the top two, and heading into the Championship, it was probably during Swanns fourth season here. The team were playing really entertaining and winning football, then Alexander changed it to do not lose astyle, and we ended up with 3 points from the next 9 matches. When I asked ASlexander why he changed it, he answered that teams had sussed them out, and a change was needed, so brilliant to watch to boring losses everyt week was his awnswer!!!!!, we have played that type of game ever since then and gone from top of league 1 into bottom of ther National league, mostly with managers that continue with this boring shite.

If you are ok with the goalkeeper Les, surely you must require a goal scoring CF, and playing with at least one winger would be nice!!!!!!, yes a goal scorer is certainly required, because the likelyhood of a clean sheet is very long odds, and we need wins, not draws as at present time, losses.

But we certainly need someone in charge of the team that knows what they are suppoded to do, and top priority is to practice two hours of each training session trying to deal with set pieces such as corners and free kicks, and stopping our goal per game back post goals!!!!.

WE ARE SIX POINTS ADRIFT. AND OLDHAM HAVE FOUR GAMES IN HAND!!!

Very sad and disturbing news once again, I am very sorry to say, but my season long forcasts are becoming true, week by week, the worst one has not arrived as yet, but it looks like it is very close to the sad day!!!!!

You have done a great job with our club Swann, league 1, into league 2, into the National League, bottom of this league and are heading for National League North, or more likely liquidation of our once loved little club, all this in six years, so well done once again. You have employed many managers that are well short of knowledge of football team operation, now no money to pay a months staff wages, and Christ knows when our club will ever get 3 points from a match?????, it is just a matter of WHEN will we lose our club????

Fair play to Tony Daws, for having the guts to realise that he does not have the knowledge to change things for the better at Scunny, and resigned from the job as temp manager, most would have just carried on taking the wages, like a few before him have done, so well done Tony.

So the club sale has fallen through ha ha!, did anyone think that it was ever on??, I and a few others have said for many months that Swann will never sell the club as a football club, I would have thought after his many, many lies over the past seven years would have given supporters a clue, to how he works, just scatter a bit of chaff every few months and fans will gobble it up, I would think that the next move will be to stop funding SUFC, I hope that I am wrong guys, but time will tell soon.

Exactly Iron-awe, you are 100% correct, thats probably why the sooner the better if it is going to happen, just to put an end to the suffering of our remaining few suporters, I would think that the 2,000 to 3,000 fans that have already been lost by the club have accepted that the club has sadly reached the end of the road, and can see and have accepted that Swann has ended the life of what was a good little club.

Awaywego, a football ground the size of Scunny’s can be demolished in a week!!!!

All that really matters to him is that he comes out of this total mess with as much money that he can recover for himself, and that he can place the blame on supporters that have been wanted him gone for a few years now. I would love to be wrong, but sadly are 95% correct.

Les____________After reading your post mate, you are wanting left and right backs, center midfielder and center forward, at least five players, but you do not touch on the main problem, the only goal keeper used all season is rubbish and after over twenty games has not played in one of them without picking the ball out of the net, the other big problem is the manager and coaches, they are clueless clowns who still state that the team are giving their best and are not a bad team!!!, Daws has been at the club like Mussa for ten years, and have done nothing, Daws has not brought any players through the youth system in ten years, and Mussa is supposed to be goalkeeper coach, and during his job, we have had the worst set of keepers the club has ever known. Why cannot Daws see that most of the goals conceeded are from back post locations from set pieced, nearly every bloody game results in such!!!, and his so called playing systems are terrible, and it appears that the players do not know what is happening.

The fact is Les, it would take more than five players to make a team out of these wage grabers, and the direction that the club will be heading is only in one way as long as the name Swann is the owner.

Well, once again, a lackless effortless performance by our pathetic team and so called management, we once had a team that did not buy high, but always had players that gave their best and were proud to pull on a Scunny shirt, we do not appear to have any in this squad. For Christ sake Swann, put the few remaining fans out of their misery and leave our club, you have no interest in SUFC, and have single handedly guided them from the top of League 1, into League 2, into National League, and at the end of this season into National League Noreth, and you do not have the guts to talk to these few fans, except for a few lies that come from you about every four months. You have put so called managers like Cox and Daws in charge of the playing side of things knowing that neither have a bloody clue how to manage. So pease show your cards and get out of our club, whats left of it. No ground or land, no decent players, no management that has a bloody clue what they are doing, and a total perthetic bunch of no hopers, how far does this lot have to fall before you pull the plug in order to enable you to sell the land you claimed from the club and its supporters, when all the debt was run up by yourself by miss-management and your bright idea’s.

Just a pity that the fans have given you a free ride to do this by just accepting anything you have done, and even still travel to watch the shite they serve up.

So Iron-awe, do you really honestly believe that you are right in suggesting that your illegal drop out boat people have more right to be placed into accomodation rather than one of our own that would avail an hospital bed if they were given the chance. No matter how deluded you are, please answer that question, and please give your true answer!!!!, no silly remarks pal, just the plain truth, then end of story on the subject.

Over 100 people that are in North Lincs and SE Yorkshire Hospitals are fit enough to be releaced, but their are no accomodation for them to go to, so they remain taking up over 100 hospital beds, wouldn’t be great to have put most of them into the 77 spaces given to the illegals that have invaded our shores????, but that makes too much bloody sence I suppose!!!!

There is no answer to this topic guys, so lets just leave it at that:-

I would like the influx of these illegal assylem seakers from illegaly invading our so called borders and costing tax payers hundreds of million pouds, whilst you would like to see as many as possible that you think are in danger in their own country, when in fact 40% of them are Albanians that have had no wars or danger in over 60 years, and thousands of boarded up houses are now making up many of their towns in their own country.

If a vote was taken in what was our own country, and people could express their true views, I bet it would be 90% that backed my view, so lets just leaver it at that, because the situation will just continue to go on, all we can hope for is a long period of bad weather and rough seas, thats my opinion and it rests at that, so no more comment from me on the topic.

Actually Iron-Awe, I do not give a toss what the Hull council do mate, I think they have an IDP running them right now, but as you know, I am some times wrong, I do have knowledge of the Hull cycle and bus lanes though having had two driving in bus lanes fines this year, reduced to £35 each for swift payments. Hull does as it likes, because as long as they keep the drop outs on their side of the river, it is no problem for us, although many Hully Gullies have moved from Hull to Barton, and put our properties up in value, obviously they have their views of bettering themselves, and with all Iron-Awes boat drop out friends taking over the North Bank, I do not blame them.

    Other modes of transport exist

Yes there are other modes of getting there, chartered flights can be booked from Humberside Airport to London Airport, apart from having to watch Daws team set up for 5-3-1-2 it would be a nice day out for the fans.

    Five miles north of Wembley.
    Six miles south of Watford.

National League seems to be dominated by a proliferation of southern clubs.

Yes this will be the case, simply because Northern clubs cannot hold their own in the National League, and many of whome are now in National League North, Scunny will be meeting many of them next season, so travel costs will be a lot less, this will suit the 120 that still travel away to watch the defenwsive Scunny rubbish being served up for them, thats if Swann hasn’t made his move by then.
