Well the lads really put some work into their shift tonight and certainly deserved the three points, and without singling any of the lads out, the young lads surely did a grand job.

It was a good performance shown on BT Sports, and it ended a brilliant day for our fans, and fair play to the 330 that made the trip as I feel sure that most of them were unawhere of the club being taken over at the time they left home, what a fitting way to celebrate the departure of you know who.

Well done guys, and we must now give the new owner our full support for saving our club from the clutches of Swann, and certain extinction.

Great news, I never saw this day ever coming, I must crack a bottle of 12 Year Dimple tonight (it is probably 30 year acually), what brilliant news this really is and I am over the moon to be proved wrong on this issue.

May I be one of the first on here to wish the new owner all the very best, and welcome to Scunthorpe United.

Any news on this topic is good news, just hope that it will go through, but I really don’t believe anything that comes out of GP, after been fed lie after lie for seven years or more from the evil one.

Just awaiting the goal posts once again being moved, any good news does not happen at GP these days.

I will be a willing member of the Iron Trust Committe if someone will 1st and 2nd me.

I will 2nd you North Lincolnshire Iron, I have been impressed when reading your postings on here and the club loyalty you show, but I would also like to see another one or even a couple more join yourself on the Trust,I feel that you are very concerned regarding the present plight of SUFCb, but I cannot see where anything has been done by the present trust, and really feel that you would need some support in order to put anything across to them.

I feel that every day is importanf if any efforts coming forward could possibly help in any way in saving our loved club, by sitting on the fence as the Trust appear to have done is criminal, its one thing saving local food banks, but they were formed to support and help SUFC.

Action is required now, because the worse things get, they are just playing into the hands of the evil man. It is nearly one in the morning and the plight of Scunny really is effecting me sleeping, and that is honestly true, so if you want me to 2nd your joining of the Iron-Trust, please inform me on what I need to do. Are Iron-bru going to do one last podcast before the inevitable? Shackles off no need to stay in any good books get a few past heroes on to reminisce and also call Swann out for what he is…… you could replay all his old quotes

Can I join in Iron-awe, I have not pulled any punches normally, so my comments would come across as being normal, maybe I could sit between Swann and UTI-99, NO PUNCHES BARRED!!!

Trouble is BS you just don’t have bloody patience before you rush in. 😂

So Iron-awe, you think that a 50 year wait has not tested anyone’s patients ha ha!.

I was reallty pleased to see that it will become true mate, but I very much thimk that it will be completed after my time, and a bloody dampener has been placed on things now I read that 14km of thoser bloody stupid cycle lanes are included, with Bartons narrow roads and over car parking in town, we can do without those stupid bloody things, Hull has proved that they are a waste of money and time.

Christ, a couple of hours after the last posting of mine regarding the ring road that has been on the cards but no action for fifty years, I have just looked at the Scunny Telegtaph page on the webb, and £19 million has been awarded for this same ring road, does that not prove that I can get action??????????????????

Well guys, IU am sorry to say but my posting of 3 hours ago has come true, I said that Elliott and Shart did not look as though they had the money, and interest seemed to be flagging, I am really sad but it has now come true, and that evil little fat gobbed prat has further advanced his aim of SUFC liquidation.

Prediction is that news will soon filter through that players wages aere not available and the end is very close.

So you so called fans that booed the lads for Saturdays pitch protest can feel a bit of shame, as all you were doing was giving your support to Swann and Turnbull and in a way the Iron-Trust who’s backbone seems to be missing, they would probably be able to then run a large food bank at GP.

It really makes me sick how one little fat excuse for a man has taken away the pleasure of 5 or 6 thousands of people, may he rot in hell!!!!!

    Bury here we come!!!!

That Waltham guy is a real prat, he seems so happy that Scunthorpe received a few million pounds from the Government, but what the hell can anyone see where it has been spent, a lot of money has been spent in the area at the bottom of the old Scunthorpe High Street, but no one ever visits that location any longer.

Barton has been talking about a ring road for fifty years, but still nothing even happens, and now with the largest kitchen factory in the UK now extended, the 2,000 workers mostly from Hull, all pass through the town centre, plus all the very large trucks and their company busses, traffic is at a standstill many times during the day. The roads have changed very little since stage coaches used to use them, but the local council still hold their six monthly meeting with the public, but never any action until another public meeting is called six months later.

Can you see any town in the South having no way for all the heavy traffic moving through it? there is no other way of passing through without going through the town centre, and there will not be work traffic like Barton have during the present time.

Siderite—–surely you are not suggesting that SUFC will still be in existance at the end of the season, how do you think that the Tax situation will be sorted out, and who is going to pay the monthly wage bill????. No pal, Swann will close the club as soon as possible so that he can get some more money.

Unless the club is sold to someone that has the clubs interest at heart, it will not survive, and the interest seems to be flagging as far as the Elliot and Sharp deal is concerned, it has gone really quiet, and if they are struggling to find the sum of £3 million, they also are dreaming if they intend to opeerate a professional football club.

If Sewann did not hold a vendetor against the Scunny fans, things would have a chance, but he has to have someone to blame for his total disater of driving our club out of existance, it was the contractor for the New Stadium failure, it was the NLCC for the second Stadium and the 160 flats, I do not know who was to blame for the £20 million refurbishment of GP, but ha blames the fans for all our relegations and money loss, ho and his final one of blaming the Boolies for him picking the wrong horses that he lost his millions on!!! Sadly there is no answer to the clubs present situation, I hope that protests continue, but there are not enough supporters that are backing them.

I am an old fart myself Pat, but have loved and followed the club for over 70 years mate, but would do anything to get rid of this selfish, greedy, brainless fat gobbed excuse for a man that has completely ruined yours and my football club through his stupidity and greed, and support the guys who staged the protest last Saterday afternoon 110%, well done lads and lasses, and I am ashaimed of those who booed them, they are old farts as you say Pat.

I sadly still have that feeling that Swann is 100% intent of taking the club into extinction and will hang on to it until it is sadly defunct, so any other action anyone can take to put the situation in front of other clubs fans can only be a good thing, so well done guys for the weekend protest, and I hope many more join you as you fight to keep your team afloat. We was having the upper hand.Looking to fight back. After this the players lost the plot. The game came close
To be called off. Would they have paid the fine the club would have received from there pocket money ?

Grow some balls Anderson, whilst people like yourself sit and boo the few guys proyesting at what that prick has done to our club over the past six or sewven years, you obviously back his actions by coming out with shite like that. Scunny were outplayed once again like they are every bloody week, and people like you appear to be happy with it.

It was good to see the Scunny supporters making their protest, it is something that should have been done well before now, this evil creep has distroyed SUFC and seems to have enjoyed does so, he has shown complete contempt for the club and even more so for its fans, qand has done his best to see the club sink.

For anyone to condemn these guys as Mick says happened in the stand that he was in is one of the reasons why Swann has got away with all the problems that our club has gone through, and no Mick “after the final whisle would have been a complete waste of time”.

These protesters have endured five years of turning out week in week out watching boring relegations, playing rubbish unentertaining so called football, under managers and coaches that have not had a clue on how to change things, a club owner that has had no interest, and even stays away from attending games, they have dropped from being at the top of league 1 into certainty of sixth teer football next season, they supoport a club which has lost its stadium, has a debt of £12 Million, have an FA embargo on them, now a winding up order from the Tax man, they are bottom of the National League with one win out of thirteen matches, and not knowing when their club will fold.

So do not worry about any point deduction, they are certain to be relegated as it is, and I hope these guys continue with their protests, and that more join in and show their feeling against this evil gambler, I just wish that I was not in my 80s and could join them, but I said two years ago, whilst Swann is still there, I shall never set foot in GP, I detest the excuse for a man so very much.

I would think that if Swann only wants 3.5 million for the stadium and training pitch land, that it would be a good deal for any buyers, with the price of land these days what the hell do they expect to pay???, if buyers are struggling to find that sort of cash, they should not be even thinking of taking over a football club with a following of 3,000 fans!! and to reportedly running at a £30,000 per week loss. That package covers a fair amount of land, and at the end of the day, the club have no worthwhile players in the squad.

Sorry about that part posting, what I was trying to say was, the club and it’s assets belong 100% to this evil guy that does not give a toss for anyone else but his hated self.

I would give as much as I possibly could to the club, but whilst this guy is still running things to suit himself, and has an obviouse distinct hatered of SUFC fans, I do not think that there would be much of a responce while he is still hear, and if we admit it, he is never going to sell the club to anyone. Actually he should never have been allowed to missmanage our club like he did, and after running up debts of about £14 million by his stupidity, then sign over all the clubs assets to his own company to pay for his errors, what hated evil person could even think of doing that to about 8,000 followers.

The other thing being all money collected would be soon be gone, and it would have to be an on going and never ending activity, it takes a lot of cash to operate a football club, and with ours being in never ending downward direction it is an impossible road to take.

‘Our only possible hope remaining is if Swann had the slightest respect or feelingfor the club and it’s supporters, but we all know this is a pipe dream. With his action of signing over all club assets to himself, this is the best gamble he as ever placed!!!, and sadly it will be the loyal Scunny fans that will be the certain losers.

    Bookies have already reacted.
Back in to 1/33 ON again to be relegated.
    This is horrible!

Christ Sir Otiose, when I read your post that “Bookies have already reacted”, I thought that you were saying that William Hill and Ladbrookes had put a bid in to buy the football club, pity this is not the case, simply because Swann has never EVER got the better of these people!!!!.

So this is the next step towards what I have been saying all season, Swann has no intention of keeping the club afloat, and IT will be another of his evil moves against the Scunny Supporters who he hates.

Derby had this happen to them, and are still under embargo’s and penalties etc, two years later, and they have a fan base of 30,000 compared with our remaining 3,000, this is the next step heading towards the end!!.

DO YOU NOT HAVE ANY COMMENT AWAYWEGO99 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done lads, it sounded like a lot of effort was put in to the match, and although the other team are having a bad run and no league wins in the past seven games, it was nice to listen the game and christ also a clean sheet.

Although a nice three points were taken from this match, it was not good to see that most of the bottom six teams also recorded wins, but maybe this performance will give the lads a bit of confinence in the near future, the thing is we really need a run of three or four wins on the bounce, but after all, todays win was the first win since eleven matches, so very small comfort treally.

For things to look a bit more rosey, the club must be taken over by the new owners within a couple of weeks, but we all know this will not happen.

So Mr Swann, please do the right thing and sell our club to some people that really want the best for the club and it fans, and try to reclaim a minute ammount of respect from fans from your disasterous eight years stay at SUFC.

But the gambling is not his fault. Nothing ever is his fault.

This may be the case Iron-Awe, but he will certainly get a reality check after then checking his bank account ha ha!, but there again it was the Bookies fault when Swann picked the wrong horses when placing his millions of pounds on them, what a waste of oxygen this guy is, ruining the sporting lives of thousands of supporters. I was thinking last night, I like a lot more have attended probably over 2,000 Scunny matches from as far apart as Carlisle/Newcastle to Torquay/Portsmouth and although feeling for the past two seasons that the pain of seeing what has happened to our loved club over the past few years, and it is 100% all because of this one evil creep.

I think that the cxlip on Look North highlighted just what this man has done to our club, the town in general and the fans themselves, no one in the whole world would gamble £20 million pounds in four years and not know he was doing stupidly wrong. At the same period of time, our club was driven by him at the helm from the top of league 1 into certain relegation into the second teer of non league football.

Probably what makes it even worse is that the clubs supporters are totally left in the dark by him keeping his big mouth closed, he had no trouble opening it when spinning the mass lies from it.

He has total contemp for Scunny fans, and has never ever pointed any blame on his self for the clubs total surender of league football, yes it is annoying that Swann keeps his mouth closed, but it might help the situation a bit if the proposed buyers put the fans in the picture of what is or is not happening.
Well done Swann, you are the most hated person in North Lincolnshire and I hope that your actions catch up with you before SUFC are liquidated, because that is what is coming sadly so very much shortly, sadly I forcast this a year ago.

Watson better than Dewhurst the butcher ??..i think so .. alas a real possibility of admin looms like a dark cloud and IMO more likely then a takeover.. im ov the mind stale fart Swan the lingerer has had enough and ready to take the club that route.

I rated Ohara the keeper who came in on emergency loan before ..

I would place Welsh International Ken Jones as my best ever Scunny keeper, brilliant keeper, followed by George Thompson, but not many will remember either of them.

Irons best ever keeper .. ??? any names from members .. Gilks was class ginger Joe Neenan wasnt :)

I am afraid that there will be no happy ending to this story, although I forcast that the end would be a lot like it is going to be, I did not possibly think that anyone would sink so low as to drive a league football club into extingtion, just to cover up his stupid gambling adiction.

He has spun loe after lie over the past six or seven years just to allow himself to continue his evil adiction, and over 6 or 7,000n Scunthorpe supporters will lose their once loved little club.

These latest happenings probably explain why our better players were driven out of our club, and also why Cox was kept on as manager for a year too long, just because his management was suiting Swanns aim of driving our club doewn and down, and the appointment of Swanns son appointment as head of recruitment is now showing why????

At the end of the day guys, if the club does not have a goal keeper that is average at the veryminimum the team will not survive, Scunthorpe have not had a decent keeper of any kind since Daniels left the club, and I have never had any kind of answer or support for my question of why is Mussa still in employment when he is in charge of the SUFC goal keepers.

Les, I did read your full post, but with the record that Scunny have, how the hell can you publish ten plus points????????????, league tables and club records are what count.

Les, with all of those plus points mate, what can possibly go wrong, are you actually talking about a team that is bottom of the National League and only gained ONE POINT FROM THEIR PAST NINE MATCHES HA HA!,
you state that with a couple of wins the team will be back on track!!!!, they have not been on track for six seasons Les, and Scunny actually need about nine wins???. Just a reminder that Scunny have not won an away game for over a year, so the club need nine wins from their remaining ten home matches, you had better lay off that single malt Les!!!

    This is all so unfair.
What we need is someone to list all the promises that Peter has made – and kept – to the supporters of the Iron.
A second list showing – if there are any – ones which might, arguably, have been broken could also be compiled.
With this comparison in place – we’d all be able to see precisely what the truth has been

I have listed his errors many times Les, it was pointless really due to real Scunny supporters all being aware of them already, but how can anyone suggest any sympathy what so ever to be shown to this person, who has always had his own needs placed above the needs of the clubs and it’s supporters at all times, it is difficult to sift through all of his past seven years of his actions, and find any that were not for his own selfish needs rather than any for club of fans.

Pulled in 4,500 yesterday at home to Hanley fc. This is a club that before liquidation could barely muster 2k in the football league.

Seem to have really turned things around and enjoying life in the depths of non league. A glimmer of hope for us maybe….

I suggest that you are clutching at straws Cliff, did you check how many were at Bury??

It was boxing daY AND THEY WILL NOT HAve mustered 1 point out of the pasat eight matches like Scunny have, and they probably play attacking football, not the boring rubbish that Scunny present.

I was purely working on the premise that if we were to be taken over and signed 7 or 8 quality players would there be enough time to salvage this season but maybe I’ve overdosed on Christmas turkey.

Not just turkey WG, I think that a few drams of spirits have been consumed ha ha!, just ask yourself which quality players would dream of joining the present set up at GP??, losing matches every week, certain of second division of non-league football, and not knowing if your wage packet will be available at the end of each month.
