I think that people do not stick to rules is because it is so easy for them to do as they think fit, rules have to be made in order to try and control this terrible virus, but when you see gangs of people dancing in the streets and holding gatherings to show that they know better than people trying their best to end this bloody killer.

I an actually finding it a lot better sitting in my study and watching it on my computer in the comfort, rather than the car park wait for an hour before games, and then sitting peering round columns trying to monitor our 75 minutes of defending, and our two shots on target during the 90 mins, in fact I am watching the full matches now rather than leaving at the 85th min stage, yes and sitting in comfort and having a drink is a lot better, this is after having sat at our games for over 68 years, I actually get a better view on the computer as I find it difficult seeing as far as the railway end from where I sit. I do actually miss the crack of the fans near our area, but the playing system that our team now plays completely lacks entertainment value, despite Neil telling us he likes and sets the team up for playing attacking football.

It really feels like a defeat with their 93rd min goal, although after the first half hours pl;ay Morcambe were easily the better team and should really have won. Same aswe said last week, we cannot bring the full team back into our third of the pitch and hope to hold out, last Tuesday it worked with a bit of luck, but to set out every game with this system is not a good idea, and we will come unstuck many times.

HOWARD—7—Better game today, but still has no control of his goal area.
ROWE—8–Had a good game today and is looking a good prospect.
McGAHEY–8–Solid in defence, a few passes overhit, but played ok.
ONARISE–8—Also played well and is a good pairing with McGahey.
BROWN—5—Not one of his better games, anfar too many back passes.
GILLIED—6—Had a good first half, but was missing most of the 2nd half.
SPENCE–6–Did ok and worked hard, but no help given to attack.
–BEESTIN—9—My MOM, Worked hard throughout the game, an some clever passes.
LOFT—4—He had a terrible game, and although no through balls to him, lost it mainly.
eisa–5—10% of his game was very good, but 90% was very poor.
KVV—4—Should never have started the match, a big risk that went wrong.

REF—5—Seemed to lose it at times, and a bit whistle happy.

COX—6—Should not have risked KVV, and should have MvAtee in place of Loft in my opinion, coming on after 80 mins is no good, and once again dropping all players into defence and hoping to hold out for 25 mins is stupid. And still insists on bringing on Hippolite?????

PREDICTION LEAGUE—-Very annoying, at 92 min stage of matches I had 28 points, and at 95th min had 9 points, because of goals by Morcambe and Forest Green.

As you say wondergoals, we are a bit short not only of front men, but front men that are good enough, I do not know if Cox was involved in the signing of Turan and Hippolyte, but God help us if either of them get back into the first team, so that leaves Kevin, McAnee and Loft, and as you say Kevins fitness is a worry right now.

A bit late guys, but forum not available last night.

Well the points are with us and sipporters must be very pleaed to have them, but I cannot help but think that Port Vale mastered their own downfall by passing the ball to death, instead of putting some balls into our box were we have been so vunerable this season, they had not obvuously done their homework on us.
Although very enjoyable to watch, I am not a big lover of defending the last 15 minutes of games, but last night we decided to drop into defence for the whole of the second half, we got away with it last night, but normally the team comes unstuck.

HOWARD—6—Not a lot to do really, they had 14 shots, but only 2 on target.
BROWN–7–Defended well and glad that he is back.
McGAHEY—8—Won everything and did many clearances, good partnership with Onariase.
ONARIASE–9–MOM Also played very well, must be kept as midfield defence with McGahey.
ROWE—7–I thought that he had a very good game and is certainly a 1st teamer.
GILLIEAD–6–Started well, but not involved too much 2nd half.
SPENCE–7–Very much involved on most midfield play, has improved weekly.
EISA–8–Some tricky runs, two men put on him, great goal by him.
BEESTIN—8—Another good game for him, I like him in the team.
KVV–6—Not one of his better matches, hope he is not injured again.
LOFT–8—The best game played this season, hope it is signs of things to come.

REF–7— Did ok, but did noy give Scunny a lot during the first hour, but certainly had a lot worse.

MANAGER—8—Team selection was as good as he could have selected, but although we got the points last night, he is far too defensive, TWO SHOTS at goal, with ONE SHOT on target, and one hitting the post.

A good £10 spent on the IPlayer viewing!!!

Yes we have had goalkeeping problems for possibly 3 years now, and our defence who have been a lot less than being safe, nust shudder when balls are thrown into out goal area, either in the air or low crosses. Ou keepers always look to be in some sort of trance are are always rooted to the goal line, keepers should have control of the area and not just leave everything to the defenders, how often do you see keepers that are playing against us, just stay rooted to the goal line liks dummies,. Other teams must know this, but yet Oldham made the glowing mistake of taking about five short corners on Saturday which all ended in nothing, like they normally do. At thee end of the day, many supporters are noting this, so why is Musser doing nothing to correct the situation, the ironical thing is that pre-match kick abouts have Musser in font of the Cluggy stand floating crosse for the keepers to come and meet and catch, but during game time they never leave their lines, why cannot Musser see what everyone else sees??

Yes Cass and 7 of them on target, that is a lot better than the usual 2 on target, I must say that I really enjoyed watching the match today, I normally love going to our Oldham away matches and havn’t missed many over the years, it is a nice little 90 min trip there, call at the shopping area when leaving the M62 for some food, the away car park is right next to the away stand, so great for blue badge guys, and plenty of room in the away stand.

What did fans think of todays strip, I thought it was the best one we have had for years, certainly beats the old drab claret and blue, or green, and the black shorts look class.

You are spot on Mike, we have been terrible whilst having four or five young guys playing, a team needs some old heads and today prooved it.

You are also correct Northumbiron, one win and eight lossws in our last nine matches does not make you shoot up the league, in fact only Oldham out of the top ten managed to lose today, a few draws, but we need to string a good run together to shoot up the table, but today was a good start. In my opionion todays team apart from McGahey was about our best possible team we can up out, and I do not know who we can leave out to accomodate him, but no doubt there will be an injury before long.

Awaywego—-rting off the £10 million is just a pipe dream, whereas being bottom of LeagueTwo is reality, the only similarity between the both of them is rhat the financial side of things and the possibility of climbing the league are both unlikely to happen.

And thanks only surface when there is something concrete to thank someone for, not a might happen.

Mr Swann, you say that it is the Corona that is the cause of us being at the bottom of the league two, do you want reminding that the club problems, and nose dive started three to four years ago, and correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t this terrible virus start 9 months ago, and when we got a handfull of our players with Corona, didn’t the three matches that were scheduled all get postponed???

The problem at present is that we have won one game out of the 13 matches played this season, and have presently lost 8 games on the bounce, and nothing changes to alter the situation.

Our summer recruitment was pathetic, and who ever signed Hippolyte, Lund and Turan should be kicked out of our club, thats if there isn’t some unknown reason this rubbish was brought in, and to play 12 matches without a goalkeeper of league standard was criminal, the lad did his best, but he is clearly not good enough, ND MR SWANNS INTERVIEW WHEN HE STATED THAT COX WAS DOING A FIRST CLASS JOB FOR HIM JUST ABOUT CAPPED THE WEEK OFF.

Well said Rob, you comments are backed by over 90% of the Scunny fans, your views are exactly what we are all thinking and saying. After our record over the past three seasons, and in particular the present one, the club has nose dived from the League One play off location and are now bottom of League Two, and Mr Swann only uses the Corvid and no crowd issues as the reason for winning one game out of 14 matches, including 8 lossws on the bounce. Is he hinting that this is not an issue at every other club????, the reason is that someone has signed players like Turan, Loft and Hippolyte, and the management are thinking that they will come good, there is no bloody chance of that happening!!.

The once proud club is now in a position of being 10 million in debt, have a playing squad with 70% of them not good enough, and a management team that is taking us into non-league football, and week after week nothing changes or gets thr slightest bit better, and after years of taking in Mr Swanns bull shit regarding New Stadium, then a second New Stadium, followed by the refurbishment of GP, and not lets forget the 160 new flats, but the only change down there is the ground name.

I cannot see many supporters turning out to watch the rubbish even if fans were allowed into the grounds, our club has lost ots way big time, and after listening to Mr Swann on Sunday, he seems to think things will get better starting next Saturday, the truth is that we cannot defend even when playing most of the team in defence, we cannot score goals, so how the hell are things going to change. I have given Mr Swann my full support for over six years, but my opinion has vastly changed, what is it “1 WIN, 1 DRAW and 12 DEFEATS INCLUDING 8 ON THE BOUNCE”, yes things should change on Saturday.

I appreciate that the squad is very poor, but there are probably about 8 of them that could make up part of a team that could probably hold their own in League Two, but the fact is that we cannot beat any team put in front of us, what do we do, just let this carry on???

I am long enough in the tooth to know that the main problem at the club is the Chaiman and his fellow board menbers, but surely if Cox cannot do anything with the squad, he should hold his hands up and state just that. But who ever haS signed Hippolyte, Loft, Turan and Condner and expects any of them to be League Two players is a bloody idiot, Hippolyte and Turan are not even Brigg Town standard.

As stated, it is not really the managers fault, but it is the choice of manager where the blame lies, and it happens time after time, if the manager is sacked, it is up to the Chairman to appoint someone that can do the job, he does not do this.

Now we are getting a repeat of the statement about our inexperienced player, so are we being led to beleive that all these other crap teams in League Two are brimming over with experience ??, I do not think so, there are about six good teams in our division, but we cannot beat any of the poor one’s, as an example to fans that are backing Cox afrer one win in 13 matches, Mansfield were just like us, but hadn’t won a game this season, they sacked their manager and first game with new boss, won away at Sunderland at the weekend, you just cannot let our situation go on and on without any action, it is so bad in our club, this only has one ending, give him another month and we will be so far behind others, excepting probably Southend.

It really is depresing Northumbiron, but fans are beginning to get realistic with the situation, it is only November and we are out of all three Cups, and bottom of League Two, and I know that you do notwant reminding again, but we have ONE WIN in our leagie and cup matches, and who is going to predict where the next win will be with this shower of a squad?????

This thread is just a carry on from the one that I started just before the Solihuull match. And I am sick of supporters saying “who is there to replace Cox,” the job wants advertising, not just a random cheap ex employee, lets just forget our Byrnes and ex players, unless we can pay out a bigger salary and get either Adkins or Beadrie, it would be worth it to get a guy that can possibly get results. The method of getting ex players has been well tried and tested with knill, Wilcox, Dawson, Cox, and the guy just sacked by Salford. As stated last week, Mr Swann should seak advise because although he appears to have a good record in business, he gives the impression he knows very little about selecting and employing football managers, a job advert would bring forward possibly 30 guyswanting the job, it is then up to Mr Swann to interview most of them with a couple of football experienced people who could advise owho to go with, but please do not just rely on family!!!!!

I agree 100% in what you are saying VaDER.

We ask the question, “WHO THE HELL SIGNED THESE CLOWNS”, we get no answer because it must be the people that own and run the club, they just keep quiet andd bury their heads whilst we race to the National League.

His recordso far suggests he really is different, but is there any of our past managers had a worse record than Cox. It really amazes me how so many supporters are giving Cox their support at the same time as we gallop head first into non-league fooyball, I am just hoping that these fans are not assuming that it is easy to get back up into the league once again.

Personally I am expecting news tomorrow that he has gone, the biggest problem that the club have is that Peter Swann has no idea on selecting replacements, and just annonces his selection without o consulting anyone, well possibly his son.

What I would like tp know is, who the hell gaveTuran a two year contract, in my 68 years following Scunny, he must rank as the worse signingthe club have ever made, but some one must have signed him????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Well that second half was one of the most gutless performances I have seen for many a year with our team, they had no fight or skill what so ever,, and for the manager to leave Turan on the pitch for 71 mins was pathetic, Cox just proved today if we did not already know, he is not going to make a football manager at any level. Here goes:-

HOWARD—5—One save during the game, seems to be that laid back with everything around him.
BROWN–4–Had a terrible first 30 mins, but was ok after that, but had cost us a goal.
BUTROID–3-Terrible passing from him, and should not take set pieces, very poor afternoon.
SPENCE–5–Does not have much involvement for long spells.
CORDNER–3–Another poor game, stupid sending off, and very lazy.
TAYLOR–4–A few nice touches, but not in the game for very long spells.
GILLIEAD–8–Some nice long runs, my MOM.
    BEDEAU–5–Not too safe at times.
McATEE–7–Showed signs of last year, and showed that he wanted to play.
TURAN–1–Why give any higher marks, he is rubbish and why was he selected??
GREEN–7–Played very well and had some good runs and layoffs, seemed to tier towards the end.

REF–4–Very poor ref who was very pickey, used that much spray paint he ran out.

COX—3—Poor team selection, and subs far too late, Butroid was poor, Turan was pathetic and will never make a footballer at any level, we were second best to a non league outfit, and had one shot during the second half when behind all of the half, there was nothing to lose by sending some forwards on after half time. He should go and hand in his notice, one win in 13 matches, and where is the next one coming from, lets see, when do we play Southend????).

WE ARE HEADING FULL SPEED INTO NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL, AND NOTHING IS BEING DONE TO CHANGE THIS., AND IF MR SWANN DOES NOT ACT, THEN HE SHOULD RISIGN HIMSELF.

    Our season has ended today.

Andrew, I wish that I had made a few pre-matcH changes today pal, I got a grand total of TWO POINTS, but amazed to not lose a lot of ground, because out of the top ten league leaders, only a 3, a 7 and a brilliant 20 point total by Cliff Byrne scored above a TWO point total.

The fact is that it has been started, but the likeyhood of it being completed is practicaly nil, the reasons bein.

    1. Many clubs will go into liquidation before very long..
    2. This virus will get worse and affect many players.
    3. There is no financial reason to continue for league 1 & 2 clubs.
    4. After awaiting seven months for support from the EFl NO PLAN HAS COME FORTH.
    5. The greedy Premier clubs would sooner small clubs went bust rayher than give any help.

Financial problems will sink clubs within two more months, once this starts with one or two clubs, many more will follow.

Usually a team near the top of a League are often better than a team that are bottom in the League above theirs.

Solihull Moors are certainly no duds, they beat Wrexham 4-0 on Saturday in the final qualifying round.

It has a good chance of being on TV, because as you say Iron-awe, there will be a chance of an upset (by that I mean a Scnny win ha ha!).

My best FA Cup memory was being at Newcastle Utd in 1957 when we beat then 3-1, we were in the old 3rd div north those days, also a font memory was at Sheff Wed when we beat them, two lasting memories. It would be a bonus these days to reach round three when the big clubs enter.

Don’t sing too loud Wondergoals, it was just one game, and aginst a team that had made seven changes, and just a reminder, WE LOST 3-1, we didn’t win the match.

And also looking back, Hippolyte had a really good game in his first match, he has been dog shite in his games since, the old saying “one swallow doesn’t make a summer”.

Lets just hope things omprove vastly and very soon, but I admire some of you guys looking on the bright side of things whilst I am very worried at the present sitution.
