I have worried about the financial side of the club for ages, we own the ground and the land, but in fact the club probably owes Mr Sqann more than their value, and with the playing squad being worthless, the club is actually bankrupt at the very best.

Whilst you are buying a striker, see if the same club have a goalkeeper they don’t want, any one will do as ours are both rubbish.

O’Malley and Rowe should be selected every week, where as the one’s being selected are Loft, Turan, and Hippolwhite, none of whome have an ounce of football ability in any of them, plus the clown between the sticks (standing rooted to his goal line). And the three stooges standing outside of the dug out.

Without him answering with excuses, can you please ask Mr Swann the simple question of “if he ever broaches the fact with Cox and all the other managers that have been employed at Scunthorpe, why they all start off by telling the supporters that they will be getting their players to play entertaining attacking football”, but they all set up the team, even when playing poor teams at home with one up front, and then play the most boring defensive rubbish seen in my case for 69 years. We get this week after week and it goes on and on with no one doing anything about it, the whole set up from managers, coaches, player scouts and actual players are a laughing stock.
This is the worse team that I can ever remember since joining the league in 1950, and I have a really good memory!!!!

How can a club like ours afford to operate a squad of over 30 players and a management staff of over ten people, and why with half the season played, can we still be playing with out any League Two standard centre forwards or goal keepers?

What is the point in having an under 23 team, when we have reched the middle of January and they have not played a handfull of games since September??.

Who is to blame for bringingi all the sub standard players??.

And I will ask the question that all our once club worshiping supporters are needing an answer to, at what point will you decide that the club is heading out of the football league after seventy years, and the present management that are in charge of the club of Cox, Wilcox, Lillis, Musselwhite and the club scouting leader need to be given a taxi out of our club, in fact there is enough dead wood to order a mini bus instead.

We cannot get rid of him until the completion of one of his proposed stadiums is up and running and we are playing in the Championship. Plus the fact that he now own’s the club , the ground and all the associated land, it is not a question of getting rid of him, it is that he has got rid of us fans.

The thread heading is When do we get rid of the Manager???

It is probably too late, but Swann should get Cox, Lillis, Wilcox and Musslewhite together before boarding the bus back to Scunny today and tell them that they need to clear their desks first thing Monday morning. Barrow were that bad today, I think that they were worse than Scunthorpe, nice to see Howard have a rush of blood when dashing up the field like a mad man, but nice to see him leavong his goal line, might be a good move to play him centre forward next match, he cannot be worse than Toft and Hippolwhite. Howards venture up the field was probably to see the area he should have been kicking the ball during the match instead of into bloody touch every time.

Ican see where you are coming from Ferrite, but most supporters are seeing the team playing home and away, instead of just home games or not bothering at all, so surely fans have their views on our players performances and ref + management. The truth probably is that fans cannot see any end to the clubs decline, and have just lost interest, Ican certainly say that after going home and away for 69 years, I am very depressed with things. My son was talking to the two Scunny fans that live in Derby and have not missed one single Scunny home or away game in thirteen years, both League or Cups matches. They say that they have been going on walks etc and will bejust selecting games, instead of travelling all over the country, does anyone blaim them???

The way we are not working as a team is surely down to the way Cox is setting them up, the team selection and his lack of experience in getting the team to score points. If I was the manager, would be pulling my hair out with the goal keeping coach, he is stnding next to him as we are letting goal after goal because Howard will not leave his goal line for crosses into the GOAL AREA, and then we witnessed that bollack on Tuesday when he left his line and trotted out to the edge of the penalty area and then did not klear the ball, probably because he got lost by never visiting that strange location, the guy is a complete joke, and Watson must be sitting on the bench thinking “am I actually worse that Howard????”.

So with a team having no experienced management on the side lines, no centre forwards, and a bloody clown in between the goal posts what chance have we got of staying in League football, I think that we all know the answer to that!! The time has well gone when we stopped saying “he needs time”, “he inherited a poor squad of players”, “the club cannot keep sacking managers” (they wouldn’t need to if they set on the right man). So do we keep them in charge until we are in the National League, or do we take one mpre chance by setting on a decent manager, but Swann need advice on this, because he has decided on all these failures. The only good thing with this season, is that we do not have to sit in the Cluggy watching it, Christ I always leave at the 86th min stage, but I would be gone by the hour mark this season.

Less tha 2 hours before kick off and still nobody can be arsed to start a match thread.

We can quickly get 50 odd replies if the thread mentions racism, Brexit or the chairman’s shortfalls.

Signs of apathy to the football we are seeing these days?

MK Iron, those days have far gone when there were 50 comments to a tread about a Scunny match which has just been played mate.

I used to do the Player Rating thread, but for instance last weeks had my ratings followed by two comments, and one of those was a sarkey one from up North, so it i not worth bothering with and I fully agree with you, start a thread about Brexit or taking the knee, and you will get 11 pages of tripe.

What a terrible goal to give away, Howard came off his goal line right to the edge of the penalty area and then took his map out because he was in unventured territy for him, the Salford guy couldn’t beleive his luck.

Get him a taxi along with that other clown Musselwight, are Billy Smarts Circus on lockdown, thats where they should be employed, they would draw the crowds in!!

Man of the Match by far was the ref who was the best that I have seen for years.

Decent player – certainly no effort made to play to his strengths.

What strengths Les??? I always put his strengths down to running after back passes to the other teams keeper.

Novak ran around like a headless chichen most of the time that he was with Scunny, although after saying that, he was an improvement on what we presently have in the team.

You will probably be right when you say that he will score, forwards are noy finding it difficult when we have Howard in goal, all Novak needs to do is stand in the centre of our goal area, and he will never get any problem with our keeper stopping his tap in’s, he just needs to stand about five feet from our goal line and help himself.

It is a funny thing, even though the club have 31 players on their books, we are short of central mid-field players, we don’t have a decent centre forward, and have two keepers that are not wort a toss, so which playing positions are more than being fully covered, please don;t tell me that the medical room is one, I am aware of that.

So Taylor has gone, I for one will not shed any tears with that news, he never had a good match, and only was involved in games for just two or three moves, and went missing too often, we need to shed another 8 players at least, and some dead wood people from the coaching and management staff.

We have the poorest centre forwards in League Two, and they would probably be the worst in the National League, we also have the poorest keeper the club has ever had in 70 years, and add to that, our injury record is really pathetic, any injured player at Scunny is automatically out for at least six weeks, and Cox, Lillis and Mussa are going to prove that we have the worst management team in League Two, we only have about three more months to find this is correct. They are even bringing on players that do not and have no intention of giving their best because theywant away.

It really all boils down to our Chairman who has taken our club from League One play off contenders into a relegation fighter in League Two, his son is Cheif Scout, his company are owed enough money by the club that is covered by the club assets like the ground bvalue, so in fact we are bust and heading full speed into the National League, will the club survive is a big question.

Well —-j charles, I couldn’t have summed up the club and teams situation better than you have put things, but I just cannot see why Cox and party have so many fans that think that they are not doing anything wrong. We are nearly bottom of League 2, we were knocked out of all three Cups 1st round, we are serving up utter rubbish week after week, and although we are in dire trouble no action is being taken by top management. I ask the question, do supporters actually want us in Non-League football??????????, because that is where we are heading, and it is not easy to get back up, ask clubs like York, Wrexham, Chesterfield, Hartlepool etc.

When you see the ceap being served up each week, remember that it is Cox, Lillis and Mussa that are training these guys.

Only point where you are wrong Mr Charles is that it is the worste Scunny team in 69 years and not 60 as you say, I have watched them since 1951 mate thats why.

Yes open-hearth it was supposed to be 100% a football thread, until we got nine pages full of that “take the knee” stuff, and moderators would not move it to non-football mate, so you can expect any subject if we are to remain to be equal for all subjects!!

Awaywego, The reason I said that it is time to get a few wins at home, was because teams usually win more points when playing at home than on there travels, or are you saying different just to be clever???? We may need a few home points just to keep us in the Football League, plus it would also add a bit of cheer to us long suffering supporters.

No iron-awe, the creche is for our players that want away from the club, they will be given a dummy and a play pen and a football, they can then sulk in peace.

Ther is no problem with yellow car park marking Cass, it was all re-done last year, but as you say, the car park could do with the old guy that used to control it, he was a right stickler and checked my badge every match without fail, the present one’s don’t give a toss.

You never know square-balls, when supporters are back I might easyly change my mind, and sit and watch the crap as usual, or maybe just select games and weather conditions and then decide.

Guys, I have missewd one home match in the last `12 years and that was when I left my season ticket at home. This season has been a disaster, and it is the third one of this kind on the trot, it is even a pain sitting in comfort in my study watching it on ifollower, can anyone honestly say that they are enjoying it??, so what is the point in driving to GP, parking up at 13-30hrs, and sitting in the car till 14-40 to get a blue badge space near to my seat location. But as I just said, at 80 years of age there is no point freezing one’s rocks off when entertainment and enjoyment is not on offer, so after 69 years, maybe it is time to call it a dAY, WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK??? The 69 years have provided some great matches, and some poor one’s as well, but most off our teams always had players that were good to watch, andwe now appear to have players of very poor standard, and even some that are not giving their best, and no one seems to be capable of changing things, so why do some supporters think that it is wrong to blame to management???. When I say that I have supported Scunny for all these years, until the last three years or so, I also drove to probably 10 away games each season, which in some cases involved overnight hotel stays, so I think that I have done my bit ha ha!

As you say Northumbiron, Cox is not the only one that is out of his depth, but he has taken the job as Manager of our club, the others that are out of their depth have no influence so much as him on the well being of our club.

We have gone into a team that only has ambitions of avoiding relegation, we have just had and are once again facing relegation. The team is turning out for matches, and playing the most defensive boring unentertaining football that our fans have ever been faced with, they are really pathetic. Cox selects the team, selects the playing style, makes the subs, and seems to be in charge of a pathetic squad that loses nearly every match that they play, so who is going to feel sorry for him???????I for one certainly are not. He should resign, along with Lllis and his brilliant goal keeping coach, because none of them have any idea how to turn the sad situation around at GP, the best thing all round would for him to get back to a National League team where he belongs, but don’t take our team with you.

If Peter Swann does not make a statement on the pathetic status of our club this week, he should just throw the towelin, because him and his scouting team have landed us with the worst squad of so called players that the club have ever had, and worst thing is that along with some that are not bothered about our club, plus most of the others ado not provide fans wit the slightest scrap of entertainment or enjoyment.

After following Scunny for over 69 years, this is the end of the road after this season, thats if we still have a club.

Spot on Iron-awe, we are heading into non-league football, it is a sad situation, but our Chairman has recruited and surounded himself with a clueless set of management staff, and an even bigger squad of rubbish players. Awaywego, are you the head of our scouting team by any chance????, I think that you are one of the signets!!!!, our team have sunk into what is on show, and don’t think that things would be different with supporters in the ground, because they would not even be attending games to watch this gutless rubbish.

Once in non-league, they will stay there, because bigger teams than ours cannot get back out of it, teams like Notts County, Hartlepool, Wrexham, Yeovil York City and Torquay, it even took Luton a long time to get back into the football league, but if we go bust, the ground and land will be worth a few grand, but the club do not own them do they???, why has there been no action by Mr Swann to stem this terrible decline in our club, and why nostatement is forthcoming from him.

It is hardly possible to give him a break KeadbyIron, we already have the likes of Loft, Hippolyte, Jarvis and Howard in the team, and half the bench are National League players at best, who would you suggest they bring in?? As I stated, I respect your views on things, but please don’t give Cox any idea’s on what to do. What is so difficult for me to understad is the Hippolyte at full back, when we have two far better players in Rowe and O’Malley who cannot get a game, what the hell have they done wrong, because they were both playing so well!!!

In January we must bring in a new centre forward and a goal keeper, because it now looks like the club will just be fighting to stay in League Two for the forseeable future, my worry is when I say bring players in,who the hell is to choose them, because the club scouting team is a joke!!!, and Cox’es two signings being Toran and Hippolyte from his non-league obsaervations, for Christ sake do not let him anywhere near the transfer book.

Regarding this virus, I would think that most of Scunthorpes players are too bloody slow to catch it, and I am sure that if it blows over the ground into our goal area, Howard will not get near enough to it unless it actually blows directly down the goal line.

I appreciate that every member has his own views on each player, and rightly so, but in my opinion Gilliead is our most consistant and best player in the squad. When we have players that give very little in matches like Turan, Hippolyte, Loft, Howard, Taylor and Jarvis, how can Gilliead be singled out is unreal.

These players plus the Manager, the goal keeping coach and the scouting team are where the real problems are coming from, and you can also include the Club Chairman because he is in charge of this pathetic crew of staff and he cannot see how useless they all are.

It is easy Wondergoals for you to say shift these hopless players, but who have we got in the club that can choose replacements???, whoever the club sign these days are players that are not good enough to play in League football, just look at the past 20 players brought into the club, andname one that is of any use!!!, you can say the same with the managers that have been selected. Thos situation all points to the top management, I have supported Mr Swann over the years, but if you sit bacck and survey his results, you will see that his predictions have been:- we will build a New Stadium at a cost of 40 million, then when this fails a second site is found and we will then build it here, after another failure, we then will rebuild GP, one side after another, then we also need to build 60 apartments near the car park, so after seven years of listening to these ambitions we still have not sank one pile, still sit in the Cluggy peering round roof support structure. We are at the same time going to progress from League One into the Championship, but over these years, we have gone from the League One play off’s into the base of LeaguebTwo, and with this present squad can easily find ourselves in non-league next year, we keep being informed that we will be watching attacking entertaining football, but nowadays we play very poor teams like Grimsby, can we cannot see even one shot on target in the 95 minutes playing time, but although all this is true, after seven years, when will anything ger a bit better, what is the next prediction, WILL IT BE THAT THE CLUB HAVE GONE BUST ??????
