It is not about clean sheets etc’ it more dependant on present form’ Tamworth are on a hell of a run of winning games, whilst Scunny have recorded one pouint fr5om their past two games’ added to the fact that Butterworth and Whitehall are abcent, and Smith now back to Scotland, we have 3 of our main players out on Saturday, added to that is their replacements are not stepping up to the form that is needed, I can see poor results on Sat and at Blyth on Tues.

    SCUNTHORPE 0 TAMWORTH 2 AQTTENDANCE BEING 4,897

I really thought that Scunny would come away with three points today, ,but listening to the game, it sounded that they did not turn up to give Brackly any fight, and it sure looks like the play offs.
It is a very big to the team without Smith and Butterfield, and the stand ins are not good enough, Beestin aqnd Willson do not seem to play to their real abbility, and it will be a struggle to get points on the run to the end of the season.

I am going for a 2-0 win for Scunny, although Brackly have won their last 3 games, they were against two teams that are badly out of form, and Scunthorpe will be a different task for them, and they had lost their previous three matches, it is a game that we must win.

We cannot set out for a draw, or we will then be seven points adrift of Tamworth who we play next week, 5 points adrift wi with a game in hand would not be too bad.

I would have thought that there will be the top team with automatic and the next four teams in the play offs.

Sorry but Darlington cannot beat anyone let alone high flying Tamworth, it will be probably a 5-0 home win.

Scunthorpe are throwing points away to some bottom half teams simply are not taking their chances, we must win on Saturday and go into the Tamworth match 5 points behind them with a game in hand, any other position will be possibly too much to finish above them. The advantage is clearly in the Tamworths side.

So we must play for the 3 points on Saturday by playing our best team, and making the correct substitutes, not like against Boston.

As the top scorer in the NLN, what’s he worth?
I wonder if anyone has had a look at him and thought – yeah, why not?

Yes, Chiperfields Circus were watching him, he would fit in nicely into one of their shows under the big top, possibly in a tumbling act.
As for being the leading scorer, if he took a few more of his many chances he would now be approaching the 30 mark nfor this season.

The man is a clown, it gets nvery boring seeing him dive to the ground countless times each match.

I Jjust hope that his replacement takes their chance and keep him out of the line up, he does score a few goals, but should be approaching the 30 mark with the chances he misses, he was caught out this time, but Jimmy please tell him to grow up and just play football.
His sending off gives fans the chance to enjoy the three games without the clown.

A good 3 points, that is the maib thing, and after saying that, what team could possibly play good football on a bloody pitch like that one today, but that is what you get in the second non-league division.

My forcast was 0-3, but very happy qwith the 0-2 result.

One plus being that Whitehall will miss the next three games, he is a silly clown and would bew betrrer playing football rather than devoting his time play acting for free kicks, although he haS SCORED 14 GOALS, HE SHOULD BE approaching the 30 mark with al the chances he manages to miss, I just hope that his replacement plays well enough so as to keep Whitehall out of the team.

Tamworth are still managing to keep up with us, but have three very difficult games coming their way, and could easily just pick up ajust a couple of points and drop off our tails, the next 3 weeks may just sort the top place out.
    tAMWORTH ARE STILL

We will come out 0-3 winners tomorrow, but I srill cannot see the reason to play one up front. Scunny have a gar better team than any other in this league, but still cannot shake Tamworth off our heels, but with playing them at home in three weeks time, we must win that encounter. Smith and hopfully Robers will be back tomorrow, so Jimmy please go at Farsley from the start of the match.

Although Scunny have been on the wrong end of the two meetings against Buxton this season, I am forcasting that with the way we are now playing, the score will be :-
    BUXTON 1 SCNTHORPE 2.

We need to keep our pressure on the chasing pack, and this would be a very good timew for another three vital points, and would set us up for the two games next week against Fardsley Celtic.

I really thought it would be a close game today against one of the other form teams in the top few in the league, but Scunny played one of their best games, and played Chorley off the park, aso well done all the players, team management and the new club owners that have brought back some smiles to our long suffering supporters.

Apart from the Tamworth, most of the other results went the way that we wished for, so keep it up guys in the busy period ahead of you, but the other teams also have the busy period facing them too, and with the depth of our squad, we should be better prepared for this, so keep it going and the very best of luck to you.

Well we have two of the form teams of the League facing each other on Saturday, with Scunny having won 5 and lost 1 of their last six league matches, and Chopley having won 3 and dawn 3 of their six. I am going for a prediction of SCUNNY 1 CHORLEY 1.

There should be a gate of 3,400, but with it being a week or so before Christmas, the attendance will possibly not be more than this figure.

Scunthorpe’s main problem seems to be putting chances into the net, and probably it is time to give Elliot a chance and give Whitehead a spell on the bench, and hope that he doesn’t fall off it and get one of our other subs yellow carded ha ha! It would be nice to play two up froint, but this doesn’t seem to happen,it would be a very important game to win with Chorley and Chester with a game in hand, and it would open up that gap that would be nice to go into the New Year with.

Enjoy the game guys and lets hope for three points

Terrible performance tonight, outplayed in the first half, two very poor stupid errors in defence, and could not even manage to score against 10 men for the full second half. How the hell Whitehall geta in the team God knows\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\111

If the team play like that in the league, they have no chance of topping it, the squad DScunny have should be well clear, but they do not seem to be playing to their strenths, tonight SM had five changes and brought in five youth players but still managed to win 2-0 practically against our full first eleven, and why does Jimmy insist on playing one up front, well the player he seems to select is hopeless, and is only interested in winning a free kick rather than putting the ball into the net.

This will be a difficult game against a team that are near the top of the National League, but the way that the Scunthorpe team is playing when at GP, I am tipping Scunny to win the game 2 – 1, but with the big turnaround in the club off the field, the gate should probably be 3,157, with it not being a League encounter it is a bit lowewr than if it was in the League.

Enjoy the game guys, and lets hope for another win.

what great ending to a fantastic week by Scunthorpe United after regaining GP and now this 5-1 away win at Hereford, so well done to the players, Jimmy, his coaches, to Michelle and her board, to the NLCC and certainly to the 220 loyal fans that trecked that distance not even certain that the game would be on or not.

Although my pre-match prediction was for a 3-1 Scunny win, I am over the moon with todays result, so once again a big well done all round.

Michelle has done a brilliant job for the town and all the club supporters, and it appears even better after what the two previous owners did to the football club, she has also been very much supported and helped by the new board of Directors.

We are now certain for the three points on Saturday, now that the players and management have this great news, So a 1 – 3 aways win for The Iron !!

The Iron are back on their travels again, and are at mid-table Hereford, as stated above, Hereford have a very difficult game on Tuesday night against an in form team, at the same time Scunthorpe have a week off from the twice a week schedule, this should give more time for the injured players to get more match fitness.

Although Hereford are in a mid-table position, they are not winning matches at present, with two draws and two losses in their last four games, so on paper, we should be able to win this game.

Scunny are just crawling over the line at the moment in games, but with Tamworth still topping the league, we must go for all three points.

I will forcast a score of HEREFORD 1 SCUNTHORPE 3.

But any win will be acceptable !!!!!!!!

Three more points to end a very good week with 9 points out of 9, and most of todays resuls going our way, excepting the Tamworth ,match. After saying that, it sounded to be a poor game, and with our keeper voted MOM, that suggests that it was a struggle, although Warrington are one of the form teams with 13 points out of thewir past sux matches until failing today.
So it is back to anoter away game next Saturday against what seems like a poor Blyth squad who have dropped to 19 place in the league after a not too bad start to the season, so Scunny must go at them and win the game.
Jimmy is getting results, but I just cannot see why Whitehall keeps making the starting eleven, possibly now that Roberts and Elliot are available, surely one of them mudst start, or better still play two up front and start with them both !!!!!

As I expected BS. More BS!!!

Other EU countries are of the same view as myself, look at todays result where a far right group got voted in, and they are wanting their borders closed to all these drop outs that are invading their country after making a third world of their own country, and will do the same wherever they move to. As I have said many times, people of this view do not speak of what they think for the fright of being called racists by the do gooders that think they are being clevewr with their vile commentsm but as in the election result today, they can vote for their views, probably because no one can know which way each individual has voted, but todays result does give a true picture, does anyone of you do gooders actually beleive that 745,000 entering Britain each year is a good thging, and the cost of over £3 Billion a year cannot be used for better things, asking that question has no possible chance of anyone giving their true answer is there!!!!!!

The figures announced today state that there were 745,000 more imigrant entered the UK that lefty it during 2022, that backs up what I have been saying about our loss of protecting our country.

The numbers were 252,000 ten years ago when the Government stated that it would bring the number down to tens of thousands, it is now 745,000 ha ha!, as I have been saying, the Government has never had any control of anything. Most British people are struggling to just keep living, even though many are in debt and poverty.

Made me smile when BBC TV (Look North) for the past two nights had show the 130 Illegal Imigrants living in a nice hotel in North Ferriby, who all stated that they loved their rooms and the free food and any medical needs thast they are getting and wanted to stay there, yes at our expence.

I wander why Look North didn’t interview a few struggling Brits and ask them if they would accept entering Spain or Portugal illegaly and be put up in nice hotels and get good food and be free to walk freely nd their upkeep be all paid for by these other countries people, yes 100% YES. YES, YES, but they never get the chance do they!!!

Gas / Elect goes up again in January it was annonced today, companies just charge whatever they like, no control by anyone !!!!!!!

So we managed to get the 3 points, but it should have been a lot more convincing if we had put away a few of the chances. As fat as I can see, Whitehall is a waste of time, all he seems to concentrate on is diving looking for free kicks and some of the chances he misses are unreal. It was a differeny team after Elliot and Roberts came on, and why Jimmy selects Whitehall over Elliot is hard to take.

As I said, a nice 3 points collected, and most of the other results going our way, it was a good nights work. By the way what was the attendace at the game, was my 3,243 anyway near ut???

Another 3 points wanted on Saturday, in a game that should be winable.

Well, what a heep of rubbish, possibly there were only a handfull of fans that wewere not bored to death with the game, but it was compounded by thee usual 350 back passes of thiis Soithgate system.

It is well passed Southgates sell by date, his system of setting up his teams is probably worse than the Neil Cox we endured at Scunthorpe.

Excellent opportunity to progress to the next round IMO. I think we definitely need a decent run in this to be honest. I honestly can’t remember the last cup game we won.

Southport are on a good run of form right now and with 3 wins and 2 draws in their last five matches, will be no push overs, and their 4-0 beating of South Sheilds must be a warning that Tuesdays game will be difficult for us.

I am going for a 1-1 draw, with the attendance being 3,243.

The idea that migrants are lazy is just complete nonsense. The people who have been forced out of their country if origin, or left of their own accord, and travelled vast distances with faint hopes of a better life here are not the definition of lazy. Many refugees would be an asset to this country, if they were given the chance to work. There is an issue with immigration, but it’s not the people, it’s the lack of an efficient and fair system of immigration. I can move and work in pretty much any country I want, it’s my choice (partly due to have the requisite to pass point systems, but mainly because of the nationality on my passport). Why shouldn’t others at least be able to have a legal path available to do the same ?

When you say that you have your passport and are free to work in other countries, yes I agree as I worked in about 20 different countries for over 35 years, but I needed all the required documents that made it legal, like a work visa, passport, a letter from the company I was goung to work for, and in many cases a medical which made it all legal. That is a big difference to paying crooks to sneak me into another country for the purpose of having the country to feed you and provide accomodation which these dossers are getting at over £10 million per day, whilst a lot of our own people are finding it very difficult to just survive.,

With your idea of free movement, there would be millions per year flocking here to use our system instead of the present 450,000. The British system needs a vast change, but this is not possible because of the small percentage of do goodersthat will react and at the same time not many of the majority of British people do not speak out because they are attacked as being racists.

It is high time that either Nigel or Miss Braverman took the countries leadership and stopped all thgis free loading and stupid prtest marches, and saved you tax payers billions per year, and diverted this money into hospitals, schools and doctors etc and looked after our own people, I bet there are many of our Forum readers saying “he is bloody right” but dare not say anything knowing that they would get slagged off ha ha!!!
