Dropping from the championship his wages would be way out of our present pay scale

Salford would have easily beaten us on the wage! We just couldn’t compete with them.

Glad bilson has been recalled and not sent back as the EFL might not have sanctioned an emergency loan if needed, they could have said we had a keeper but chose not to keep him.

Think we still need a second keeper as we only have a 1st year pro in Tom Collins and 2 youth team keepers in Owen foster and Jake balme, throwing those 2 into a league 2 relegation scrap would be suicidal.

Scrimshaw started brightly but then faded and didn’t appear to be part of Mr Hill’s plans from day one, Sam Burns looked okay on Saturday so let’s hope he doesn’t do a scrimshaw and fade away

A point away in this game would be a great result, but we most start to get 3 points in home games if we are to have any chance of survival.

Our home form has been dreadful for 3 seasons now with to many sides taking points that were not really warranted, but if we can’t start hitting the net this will keep happening

That’s why he left! He realised Keith Hill would take no shit off him, But as you say Joey Barton will be no push over.

It was no good making stay then lose him on a free in may at least we have got some money for him, and like you say no big loss the way he was playing.
We can say very good player on his day but that day was getting rarer and rarer, you could see on Saturday he was just trying to stay injury free ready for today.

Still think Calvin Andrew could end up with us, Mr Hill knows him and always gave us troulble when he played against us

Personally I think it is everyone duty to get vaccinated ! But we live in a democracy where people have the choice to not have the vaccine so we will have this situation its a difficult one.

One 45 mins doesn’t make a season! But we all know that there is a very good player in there as we have seen occasionally especially at Rotherham and Oldham, I think he and his agent see’s him better then division 2 so it would really surprise me if he go’s to Colchester.

Wonder, I said in a post on Facebook recently Mr Cox appeared to try to be a “mate and a manager not a manager and a mate” that Mr Hill is to the players, It is a very difficult job and one where you walk the line and at any minute you might need to give out an ear full if the players think of you as a mate they will just ignore you.

Coupling that with his very defensive minded set ups and what appeared to be a lack of football tactics and very limited player knowledge Mr Cox never really was able to get the team anywhere near where it should been.

Mr Hill is a very experienced manager with a decent record of getting teams out of trouble then pushing them on to challenge for promotion, I hope Mr Swann has finally realised that a manager needs to be left alone to do his job and in Mr Hill we have one that will demand that unless he needs the chairman to back him in any way.

If things carry on as they are there is no way Mr Swann will pay off the loan as we have had no income in December at all and who knows how long this will keep happening, the loans returning all depends on the clubs for the season long loans players I hope we can get the outcome on them as below.

Hackney: is a must extend for me, but Middlesbrough might have other plans which would be a blow.

Wood: is obviously not needed or even in Mr Hill plans, Hull City will not be happy and you would think will look to send him somewhere else.

Billson: I would look to try and keep as we only have youth team back up with no experience at all, the league probably won’t sanction an emergency loans in the current circumstances when all Registered players are now to be considered for match day squads to get games played.

Scrimshaw: I would keep even if Loft goes and someone else comes in, he works hard and gives us a fresh legs in games if needed but think he will return to Bournemouth as he appears to be out of favour.

    Of the contracted players

Donwald-Turan: appears to have no future at the club! But after seeing what Mr Hill as done with Hippolyte maybe there is a chance but can’t see it.

Perry: will be back up to the regular midfield but needs to get stronger on the ball IMO

O’Neill : is another that appears to have no future at the club and will probably be sent on loan or just not play.

This my thoughts but this is football so I will probably be miles off
    What will actually happen.

When I picked my tickets for Oldham on Christmas Eve I watched training for a while and although they was lots of praise they was as much criticism but given in a constructive way no shouting and singling out individuals just the team the team the team was the priority.

Also one sentence stood out for me, he said to the players “if you can’t take pressure you are no good to me or the team as football is pressure is all about pressure” as someone else said on the bru we have a very good manager again.

I was never really a Keith Hill fan when we came up against him but once he is at your club you begin to see what a good manager he is! He takes no bullshit on certain things like injuries, fitness, not working hard for the team but he will praise when necessary so players never get the chance to shirk.

I have too have said the players were better then most were giving them credit for and Mr Cox just wasn’t getting the best out of them, Mr Cox was a scunny lad and I like everyone else thought he was a good appointment but it was just to big of a job for him unfortunately.

Mr Hill is getting the best out of them by firstly making them work harder and by getting them fitter! He is now showing them how to become better as a team and individually.

Hopefully Mr Swann is going to back Keith in January where possible and stay out of the playing side of the club and leave the management to their jobs to carry on with their jobs.

Keith singled Tom out for praise on Tuesday commenting on his work rate saying it was brilliant so don’t think he will dropped anytime soon, cam Wilson is strange he was being talked about as the next big thing in the preseason but has not pressed on.

A game we definitely would have lost 4 weeks ago! We are getting hard to beat which is a start as we would have rolled over in the last 2 games under Mr Cox.

Also we are starting to commit to tackles, getting stuck in and throwing bodies into blocks which I have seen not seen since Mirf and Murray Wallace played, we are also starting to get a bit luck in games defensively.

Attacking wise Aaron Jarvis is slowly showing us what he can do getting better with each game, and today myles and Alfie we very good,
Kieth has certainly got the best out of Myles and there at last looks like a professional footballer in him

Interesting comments from Keith about Alfie beestin after the game saying he can make him a championship player! We have known for a while that he is a very good player but his attitude was questionable but he in the last 2 games is back to his best.

I’am a Watson fan but I can see a very good keeper in o’hara and if there is any chance we should try to get him back in January, he commands his area and comes to collect crosses so would be an interesting battle between them if he came.

All in all a massive step forward 3 games unbeaten at home and I can see a win is coming soon hopefully this will be at Stevenage which would be brilliant, i’am beggining to look forward to games again which is massive compared to where we were a month ago.

Think there was an improvement all round today, we tried to play football got the ball forward quicker and although we didn’t create lots of chances thought we should have won the game.

If we can keep Kenyan fit he looks a decent player! He scrapped for everything, won his fare share of headers and helped out the defence when needed, also think we have a decent player in Hackney.

All-round much better from loft but needs to force himself on games and do more running at defences with the ball As he scares defenders when he does it, another week with Keith in training and we should be better again.

All in all I left GP today feeling more positive then I have for along time and if we can continue from today’s performance I believe we can start to climb the today.

Don’t think Brentford would play Charlie if he wasn’t good enough! Always felt sorry for Charlie as he took the flak for the bad results when others were worse then him.

Welcome to the circus Keith! but what a seen and heard of Keith I pretty confident he won’t take any interference from certain members of the staff, still not certain we will survive but at least we have got on the first rung of the ladder.
January now becomes the most important transfer window in the clubs history! It means the next 9 weeks needs to be all hard work both on the pitch and off.

Love Nigel for what he did for us! But a little word of warning he has been sacked from 5 of his last 6 jobs so things have not been great for him at certain clubs.

But if he did come back I will fully support him and he would add at least a 500/1000 to the crowd meaning better sales helping the club not just the players with his positive attitude.

Lovely bloke! but unfortunately lovely blokes very rarely succeed in their chosen trade, Neil was out of his depth and should have stayed a assistant longer to gain experience.
Hope he gets another job within football but IMO he should go back to coaching and leave the managing well alone as he was always going to struggle, appointing mark lillis was a disaster as well! He had been out of football far to long.
Saturday now is a free hit for Tony and Paul no one expects us to win there will be reasonable crowd which should help so please give the supporters some attacking football and dump the negative defensive based football

Wonder as we know players thrive when confidence his high, Rory was in and out so much it was no surprise he hadn’t fulfilled his potential.
He is still very young for a keeper and i’am sure he will get better given the run in the team he is getting, if bilson comes back i’am he will add competition to Rory but like as been said unless Rory falls off a cliff he surely will be no2.
