Gallimore came from Grimsby as a u14 I believe and his dad Tony played for Grimsby, wouldn’t surprise me as I have said Dan looks like the most likely of the youngsters to succeed.
He looks like a footballer already, he is physically strong, has a good engine and also looks to have an eye for a pass

Agree! It’s time the supporters were given an update on what’s happening at the club, if a sale is in due diligence then tell us, if players are been approached tell us (not their names obviously) if the manager is happy with the summer so far tell us.
That why at least the supporters are kept in the loop and silly rumours can be stopped, said this before the supporters are the life blood of a club so it’s time we were given more thought by the club.
They were quick to come out and ask us to support the club which appears to be happening with season ticket sales, so please don’t keep us in the dark any longer.

Sorry mate things like this get right on my nerves.
Why is this totally hilarious! This is why football fans get frustrated, how would you feel if you payed out your hard earned cash and got ripped off by some dickhead who because they support another football club they think it’s funny.
We all support football but happen to like other teams, football fans get shit on by every organisation FIFA, UEFA, Premier league, Efl with over inflated prices, shit kick off times games changed with out notice and many other ways, so when someone finds it funny to rip others supporters off it’s totally wrong.

As a Liverpool supporter the game was three games to many! They were dead on their feet which meant they and played at Madrid’s pace instead of their normal high paced pressing game.
Also when will people get off Trents case! There isn’t a footballer anywhere that doesn’t make a mistake in any game, if he was Brazilian people would be saying what a player!

Why do Liverpool carry this stigma? seem to remember lots of fans forcing their way into the Euro final or were they all Liverpool too! Plenty of videos going around of stewards and state de France employees letting people without tickets in the ground, these people then take genuine peoples seats.
Until uefa stop giving a third of tickets to cooperate members who then sell them on at highly inflated prices then this will keep happening, Ticket touts selling tickets to anyone and forgeries are also a massive problem as real fans buy them and then get turned away at the turnstiles.
I want to the euro Germany game and even on the tube there was loads of supporters openly taking cocaine and boasting about the way they were going to force their way into the ground didn’t here many scouse accents that day, not saying all Liverpool fans are only from Liverpool either.
Grimsby are riding the Lady Luck train to promotion! If it wasn’t for a stupid push on one of there players by a notts county player with 20 seconds to go in the game on Monday they would be sat at home in fishyville by now.
I do believe we wouldn’t be where we are now if hurst hadn’t been asked to leave, but unfortunately he dared to believe he could run a football team how he wanted to do.
The moment Mr Swann axe fell on Alexander we were doomed! Then when it looked like Hurst could turn us around he want as well and from that moment it was obvious we would end up totally in the mire.
Getting back to the National league I have been with mate mate a few times this season to Grimsby and from the very first time I went and watched a game I knew it was going to be very difficult if the inevitable happened.
Mr Hill needs to left alone to get on with it and build a side that can at least compete, that’s assuming we have a club that starts the season.
Reading these posts only makes me more dispondent! Think it’s time either Hill and Turnbull or just either one of them just told the supporters the bloody truth, get it out there and tell us the supporters what really has gone on.
I know they will be under legal constraints but surely they can tell us enough to clear the air with the supporters, if Hill stays then like he says he has to have full control of the players he brings in.
I for one will be waiting before I commit to buying a season ticket,
We keep saying that things can’t get any worse but my god they do and it it is unbelievable what we are hearing.I would like to say I gave Mr Swann my backing for a very long time but now have to say how wrong I was! He has ruined our once proud little club to an extent that it’s is touch and go if the club survives.

Like most goings on at football clubs you only get to know the truth once a book is in publication, but if the rumours are true then certain players should hang their heads in shame.
With all the young players in the squad they needed guidance and role models to help them settle into a very different game them youth team football, it is endemic of the goings on at the club in the last 4 years that the opposite happened.
We have to get rid of all the dead wood at the club but that will need to be done at all levels of the club from the very top right through to the very bottom, every day we hear things and you think now surely not.
Unfortunately the surely not appears to yes that’s right, players refusing to train, players refusing to play, and players not even turning up to training, we need a new owner that will come down with an iron fist and say you do as all the others do or don’t bother expecting a wage.
If every day people refused to do their job or didn’t bother turning up they would sacked and that is what should have happened to these players, in hind sight we can now see why all of a sudden the youth players starting to get games not just squad members.
We are the laughing stock of the football world where players do as they like and the club has been completely run into the ground, it is heart breaking to hear these stories and a pair of fingers to the fans of the club.
We used to be a honest hard working little club with players that wanted to Play for us and when they did they gave it everything on the pitch, but this season appears some of the players took the piss from day one and should never be allowed near the club again.

Delaney started brightly then when the youth project kicked in and understandably he struggled, would be worth going for but would think a league 2 club would where he ended if if he gets released.
Tom has struggled a bit with injuries! seems like at last someone has said no more injury prone players other wise think he would have been given him a chance always seemed to be rated, also not the tallest keeper around
Don’t think Taft and Perry will be at scunny when preseason starts also not sure about Oniell, think Bunn would be worth a gamble if we can get him on a pay as you play deal.
See Joe Murphy has been released would good for young Owen Foster to have around and help him develope also Matt Done at Rochdale, going to be a very interesting 5/6 weeks! Get it wrong and we are doomed, get it right and we might just see a turn round in the clubs fortunesSaid on another thread any new owner surely can’t trust Hill to rebuild us, thought Hill was a decent appointment how wrong I was!
As Brassy says can’t even consider a season ticket if we play these young kids every weeK.Yes they might be talented and have ability but they would get absolutely mullered every week in the national league, said we needed at least 7 new players before I will readdress that and say at least 12.

Can’t see how a new owner can honestly trust Hill with rebuilding the club! Thought Cox was bad but Hills record is truly abysmal, between them both Swann and Hill have made us a laughing stock.

What where the odds for 7-0 I wonder?
Talking on the club website he is saying about next season so looks like he is staying.
Don’t think it was the group of young fans from the back of the donny road end! They have been brilliant it was the group that want to be allowed into the corner near the away fans so they can wind up and antagonise them

Sorry but some of the so called fans were a disgrace today! We had a very young squad and team yet they caused nothing but aggro and disruption during the game when everyone should have been supporting the team.
Said before protest but do it before or after games not when the club has 1 u16 and 5 u18s on the pitch trying to start their careers, also the abuse nuttall received was disgraceful and racist! Yes he shouldn’t have reacted but you can only take abuse for so long.
I for one do not want these morons anywhere near the club going forward! they are not interested in the club and just cause trouble that the club can’t afford, GET OUT OF OUR CLUB GO DRINK CIDER IN THE PARK AND ACT LIKE THREE YEAR OLDS THERE.

I have never seen such a mess that our club is in! We now know how Bury and Macclesfield supporters felt and I fear we are heading in the same direction, we need a new owner ASAP.
If this doesn’t happen then we are really are in the mire and looking at not being a club at all next season, Keep saying this but things really do look very pleak and I fear for us.
It is a total shambles from the very top right down the very bottom with the only bright spot being the progress of the younger players in the academy, but this could be just that these are the only players that are available.
If we do manage to enter a team in the national league next season then we need a lot of experience with a keeper, two centre halves, left and right back cover, three midfielders and two strikers needed it is a massive ask even for a team with cash to spare let alone one with no cash to speak of.
So the next two months are the most important two months in the clubs history get it wrong and we are doomed get it right and we might just start to see a glimmer of hope. UTI.

Are these people brain dead all these protests and people running on the pitch is costing the club in extra stewards, police and efl fines,
Protest but do it peacefully and don’t cost the club money they don’t have.3 users thanked author for this post.
Heart broken! But Monday there was a little glimmer in the otherwise doom and gloom, there appears to be a good set of youngsters who can serve the club for a few years and maybe add a coppers into the pot in time.
Jack Moore-bill am is one i have an interest in as I saw him playing for Sheffield schools and recommended him through the academy scouting network but he is from Sheffield and went to Chesterfield instead then came to us after they folded their full time academy.
If we can get some experienced players in all positions and bring the youngsters in along side we should be able to stabilise then move forward the season after next, can’t see us challenging next season so to stabilise and build would be a good season IMO

What amazes me is players such has pyke, nuttall, matheson and many other come from higher leaguers clubs so they can’t be bad players, they just seem not to perform when with us.

On the past 5 months neither would I! Seems to be very stubborn and isolates players we have enough of this with hurst and cox, seen some of the national leagues games with my mate and there is some very strong sides in that league.
We need the take over done ASAP preferably before the season finishes and the new owner needs to be very strong take no shit make no promises about stadia, new grounds, flats , upgrading GP and generally all the bullshit we have been fed just invest in the team.
Don’t tell Tesco if he comes here.
League 1 goal of the season! Saw him (beckford) recently and he said it was the best goal he scored but the goal against Man Utd in the fa cup was the most important.

Was that the game(Yeovil) when they moved the away supporters to let more home fans in because the terrace was full
I would drive to Peterborough and fetch cliffy myself if he agreed to come! He certainly would stand for any of these players antics and I’am sure a few arses would be well and truly kicked.

We had a shocking pitch but brilliant players, now have a brilliant pitch with shocking players they say a good players can play on anything that group of players certainly could.
Some of the best attacking football I have seen! sharp was the darling but I loved Cleveland Taylor, you tell how he was going to play in the warm up if he was on it in then you just knew he would tear the left back to bits.
