Word is that the academy is not going to be funded by Hilton next season! They are looking for alternative funding but if that fails there is no chance of the academy carrying on next season
No! but did say he had been having family problems with his wife committing suicide though
We haven’t had a foundation phase leader (u/9 to u12) for quite a while now so it is an encouraging sign but still not a sign of an academy set up next season, we will only get a certain percentage of EFL funding next season so the club is going to have to self fund a fair chunk.
Also the facilities at the academy are in need of an upgrade especially with pitches these are in a poor state for a full time academy, also there needs to be a fair amount thrown in the equipment with the goals, again needing a good overall with new nets, wheels ETC
All this will depend on which league we are in next season but needs to be sorted asap as we are losing many of the talented players that will be are future, the youth team is one of the strongest for many a season and a credit to the coaches but again the likes of Ty sellers- Fleming, Harrison poulter and all of the other u18 2nd year scholars can on free’s.It’s not a surprise for either Leanne or Lee to be removed as directors as the new chairman will want his own people, but it can never be allowed again that the board is made up entirely of family and friends of the chairman.

Seem to remember the last time the team want abroad the was trouble in one of the bars which ended up with chairman paying for the repairs so probably not the best idea, think you can learn more on cold wet and windy training days then training in a country you don’t play in.
Ty sellers fleming is one to watch along with Finn Abraham who is good captain talks, positions and leads by example, the one nagging doubt is will these players want to sign contracts if we get relegated.
Believe Harvey Cribb is not wanting to sign professional forms so looks like we will lose him, also there is regularly numerous scouts from championship and premier league clubs at games, also one of our youth/first team players is being looked at by a top premier league side.
Jason Maza he was there yesterday as well

Spoke to him and Ian sharpe after the game both appear to be fully committed to Scunthorpe United and hopefully they will get over the line as they are supporters as well as prospective owners.
Also Fin Shrimpton, Owen foster, cam Wilson and all the other ex academy players have in Scunthorpe in there blood as this is where they started and have the club to thank so they are fully committed to the team.5 users thanked author for this post.
Colin needs games which he appears to going to get, physically and experience wise he gives us more then Mason which is what we need right now so think he can be an asset for us.

50 was an example mate, I don’t know any young player either now or up and coming who would be capable of scoring 20 let alone 50, which must be a worry to the England set up
I really don’t now who will fill Kane’s shoes when he retires! I now we have some very good young players in Rice ,Bellingham ETC but realistically there is no one capable of scoring 50+ goals at international level.
It is the job no one wants whilst Swann is around, so it would be career suicide for anyone at the minute even if it gets sanctioned by the board.
Agree mate! he is also backed by very good legal team who are the ones pulling the strings, do seem to remember there was talk of a sports covenant on the original deal with Glanford council does anyone know if this still is active if he puts us into administrative measured or worse we go bankrupt.
Didn’t say they would benefit from it! Just believe there is some form of agenda from them, we are hearing so many different things it’s really hard to not what’s fact or fiction.
Technically ready physically probably not, there are some very physical players in the national league and this is where in my opinion they would struggle, but the future is a little bit brighter and we are producing young up and coming players.

Just read on Facebook that the person that started the abuse has apologised to Joe and he also apologised, they shook hands and hopefully thats the end of this so we can get on with supporting the club, players and management.

Kgosi was booked then got a talking to by the ref so probably just avoiding him getting sent off.
Sadly Jordan has to be in the last chance saloon! he is a good talent but sadly he just can’t stay fit, in the first game he played at Rochdale we got a small glimpse of his talent before going off injured.
Like Wonder has said I feel for him but we just can’t afford any deadwood at the minute, remember someone saying there are injuries and there are injuries that are in your brain maybe this is what Jordan has and has to push himself harder to play through injury as footballers are very rarely injury free.

To be fair to Calliste he did break and dislocate his ankle in preseason I believe, when he was at Liverpool and was thought to be a very promising young talent.
Ok misterton sorry to Neil as I told misinformation, but have to say everything has gone quiet from all parties from the ceo down.
Don’t know Neil and have nothing against him! but said this before what surprises me we have a fan rep that lives in London, we are a proper disaster and have been for nearly 5 seasons now.
We just can’t seem to get any momentum in anything we do either on or off the pitch, like a lot of people have said with the players we have we really shouldn’t be in this position but they seem to be like rabbits caught in the headlights.
Unfortunately even the most ardent of fans are losing the battle to justify the expense and disappointments any more! I normally keep my phone on hand when we are away but today I just didn’t bother.
It’a a shock now if we don’t lose! Same as last week disappointed but not surprised is the order of match day and I really do not know how anything can change as we are, it’s a long slow death we are suffering and if we don’t get at least two wins out of the next 5 games I honestly think we will relegated once again

Kgosi Nlthe makes us look a better balanced side! He can play anywhere across the back line but gives better cover at left back, he can also do what he did last night in covering the centre backs.
We certainly lost something in the game when he went off, hopefully with a day off and plenty off physio he will be fit for Saturday, after that just hope his glass legs hold up as he is one of the best left backs in this leagueit will be an Interesting Turnbull update tomorrow if this is true, 4 days of thinking maybe we had started to turn a corner then this! If Nuttall was not happy with us why has he just bought a house in Bawtry.

Think kevs v Swindon was up there, but Lavery showed that you don’t need to blast the ball when one on one! He took his time committed the keeper then slotted the ball past him.
Early days but he looked good along side nuttall who didn’t have his best game but made a nuisance of him of himself, so after another week of training Lavery should be more at home.

The rollercoaster that is Scunthorpe United just touched the bottom then climbed to the top, got to get that defence sorted but Lavery looks class
Not sure if you have access to the internet and a printer? If you have you can buy tickets and print them off from your home if you have.

Didn’t tell us anything we didn’t know already! Just hope someone was watching and thought maybe that is for me.
It was obvious last season he was not up to the job and got away with it as we are in such turmoil not going to miss him, Swann now needs to tell us what is actually happening within the club regarding the take over, lee’s true role within the club and if he really is serious about selling the club.
Unfortunately I’am beginning to believe there is no potential buyer and Swann is just playing the situation, it’s just lurched backwards once again and just when you think we can’t get any lower we do and the supporters deserve more and better treatment.
