I would call NL North the abyss with a distinct possibility our time in there could be considerable. Seemed to take an age for Stockport & York to find the exit door.
Hereford already chalked off in 94. Boston, Darlo now in new grounds since we last played em. Iron on Tour !

Such a shame, nothing better than a weekend in the Cornish Riviera. Oh well, we’ll have to settle for Buxton.

Staggering that the likes of Stockport and Wrexham with their fan bases, bums on seats have struggled to escape the lower reaches and Wrexham still there after 15 years. I wonder if there is still a twist in the promotion saga prolonging the Druids stay in the NL. We may give them a helping hand in securing top spot with a shock at Notts next week, we’re due another away win.
As for the Iron, I may be in Woodlands before our glorious return to the EFL.

Running out of games now to prevent our free fall. I can see ahead a miserable day in Dorking for both teams involved. Stockport have shown it’s not impossible to return from the abyss but I wonder if I’m still around to see us do it !

Definitely agree BobbyG and as most fans now would probably accept NL North football, I clearly feel that the storm clouds are looming over Glumford and it will be a whole lot worse than just relegation further into the abyss.

The odds must be very good I would suspect to stay up now from our perilous position. I’m not a betting man so I wouldn’t know unlike others who may fancy a dabble ! Anyone got any stats on teams that has achieved the turnaround from bottom to stay up at this stage of the season.
There must be some teams that have done it ! UTI

Diehard Iron fan or not, any amount of optimism since the takeover has to be crushed once you view the league table. Horrendous stats and only 15 points and a team which can ship goals quite easily with minimal effort required by the opposition. I think it will be quite a miraculous recovery if we manage to achieve 5th bottom this season. I really hope we can do it with some sort of intervention from our saviours, new players manager etc but I have already been looking to see if there is consessions for 60+ at Curzon Ashton.

Especially the Cods. Lots of ours went on their forum when they went down and gave them both barrels and more. We are now getting what was expected in return and although there are a few that want us to drop further and survive, the majority want us cast into oblivion never to return.

Can’t for the life of me think why any Scunny fan would want to see our nearest rivals promoted under any circumstances, especially this season. That’s how I see it.
Potentially at least 11 grounds next season where the services of LNER may be required. Due to the inadequacies of our local train networks, we are considering using a designated driver and starting our journeys from Retford.

Take comfort in your optimism but after witnessing the debacle at Sutton, it’s game over for me.

I was one of the souls that travelled sarf. The display at Sutton just delivered another nail in our football league existence from a team that seems to have accepted the inevitable already. Not fit to wear the shirt. Bereft of any sort of passion, fight, ability, quality whatsoever. This team is heading into the football abyss and won’t be returning any time soon. UTI !
